Presentation summary: A practical hands-on work-shop showing attendees the methods for making quizzes to encourage independent vocabulary practice with students. It is a low tech strategy and thus is suitable for teachers who are looking for an entry level / beginner use of technology in the classroom. It is also very suitable for teachers who need to cover specific vocabulary and would like to take students to a lab for independent learning, but have little available time online. . Presenter bio Teresa Murphy has been in Education since 1985 and mainly in ESL. She has an MA in Applied Linguistics and DELTA. She has interests in active vocabulary development in particular in low level students and in developing Ed.Tech skills in the classroom, but simple and user friendly tools and not as a substitute for the actual face to face teaching.
