2. DIRECTION God’s purpose is to turn His wandering spouse back towards faithful relationship with Him.

3. CONFRONTATION The Groom, because He loves the bride, confronts her and warns her of serious consequences ahead.

4. CORRECTION To get the attention of the wayward bride, the Groom employs continuous, consistent, firm, fair, loving punishment.

6. DESPERATION What makes God cry? Does that break your heart too?

8. RESTORATION After the bride is humbled and separated from all rivals, the Groom will begin again to woo her heart.

9. APPLICATION Spend quiet time alone with God – just listening. Take God’s offer of a way out. Recommit yourself to loving only One.
