At our meeting on November 15 while we were discussing the preliminary analysis of college grade point average(GPA), you asked if we might be
able to use the data to predict the overall GPA based on computer science GPA. We reanalyzed the data for this purpose and want to share the results
with you.
We conducted a statistical test to analyze the relationship betweencollege overall GPA and computer science GPA. We examined the overall GPA and
computer science GPA of 105 students who graduated with a B.S. in computer science. In this data set, it shows that computer science GPA has a
high positive correlation to the overall GPA. The coefficient of determination equals to 88.12%, which means 88.12% of the variation in overall
college GPA is explained by the independent variable computer science GPA. There is a correlation between the two variables.
The analysis of this limited data set reveals that: 1) if a student gets a 0 GPA in computer science, it is likely that he/she would obtain a 0.59 overall
GPA and, 2) for every one–point computer science increases, there is approximately 0.82 increase in overall GPA. For example, the computer

My ultimate goal for this semester is to get a 4.0 grade point average. I feel like if I start this semester strong, I will continue to get good grade
