1. The total Expenditure of Bangladesh Govt. in Last 15 years has been rapidly increasing.
2. The Health Sector Expenditure has also been increased each year with total expenditure.
3. The average health sector expenditure percentage for last 15 years is 5.27%.
4. The percentage change in government expenditure for health sector is on an average
19.36%.
5. The percentage change in government expenditure for health sector is positive every
year except fiscal year 2013-2014.
6. The GDP grew in the last 15 years at a rapidly increasing trend.
7. Health sector expenditure percentage in GDP is on an average 2.24%.

Findings…
1. In health sector, Bangladesh government has an average expenditure 5.27%.
2. In every year there has been an increasing/decreasing deviation in expected and implemented
expenditure.
3. As time passed by The deviation also started to increase.
4. Except 2007-08 the government could not implemented the total amount (expected) in health sector.
5. The implementation was the highest on 2006-07 and it was 6.8%.
6. The implementation was the lowest on 2013-14 and it was 4.1%.

Findings
 Total receipt and total expenditure of Bangladesh government budget has an increasing trend in recent years.
 Except 2007-08, total receipt has always been higher than total expenditure.
 Average health sector expenditure is 5.27%.
 In recent years, transport and communication have higher expenditure.
 In recent years, foreign grants and loans have increased.
 VAT and Tax are the highest receipts sector of Bangladesh government.

 Bangladesh Budget is deficit budget.
 Health sector has insignificant expenditure percentage.
 Percentage change in health sector expenditure is increasing at
random rate.
 Health Sector Expenditure is not implemented properly.
 Can be seen in recent COVID issue.
 Health Sector Collapsed in COVID because it was not implemented
with quality.
 Policy was not implemented right
Recommendations to improve health Sector
(1) purchase health care, (2) provide health care,
(3) ensure access to quality care for vulnerable populations,
(4) regulate health care markets,
(5) support acquisition of new knowledge,
(6) develop and evaluate health technologies and practices,
(7) monitor health care quality,
(8) inform health care decision makers,
(9) develop the health care workforce, and
(10) convene stakeholders from across the health care system.

  • 9. Findings 1. The total Expenditure of Bangladesh Govt. in Last 15 years has been rapidly increasing. 2. The Health Sector Expenditure has also been increased each year with total expenditure. 3. The average health sector expenditure percentage for last 15 years is 5.27%. 4. The percentage change in government expenditure for health sector is on an average 19.36%. 5. The percentage change in government expenditure for health sector is positive every year except fiscal year 2013-2014. 6. The GDP grew in the last 15 years at a rapidly increasing trend. 7. Health sector expenditure percentage in GDP is on an average 2.24%.

  • 11. Findings… 1. In health sector, Bangladesh government has an average expenditure 5.27%. 2. In every year there has been an increasing/decreasing deviation in expected and implemented expenditure. 3. As time passed by The deviation also started to increase. 4. Except 2007-08 the government could not implemented the total amount (expected) in health sector. 5. The implementation was the highest on 2006-07 and it was 6.8%. 6. The implementation was the lowest on 2013-14 and it was 4.1%.

Findings  Total receipt and total expenditure of Bangladesh government budget has an increasing trend in recent years.  Except 2007-08, total receipt has always been higher than total expenditure.  Average health sector expenditure is 5.27%.  In recent years, transport and communication have higher expenditure.  In recent years, foreign grants and loans have increased.  VAT and Tax are the highest receipts sector of Bangladesh government.
  • 15. Take Away…  Bangladesh Budget is deficit budget.  Health sector has insignificant expenditure percentage.  Percentage change in health sector expenditure is increasing at random rate.  Health Sector Expenditure is not implemented properly.  Can be seen in recent COVID issue.  Health Sector Collapsed in COVID because it was not implemented with quality.  Policy was not implemented right
  • 16. Recommendations to improve health Sector (1) purchase health care, (2) provide health care, (3) ensure access to quality care for vulnerable populations, (4) regulate health care markets, (5) support acquisition of new knowledge, (6) develop and evaluate health technologies and practices, (7) monitor health care quality, (8) inform health care decision makers, (9) develop the health care workforce, and (10) convene stakeholders from across the health care system.
