It is unique to each individual and influenced by both internal factors like intelligence and emotions as well as external social and environmental factors. Major theories of personality include psychoanalytic theory which proposes that personality develops through stages in childhood, and psychosocial theory which identifies stages across the lifespan. Personality is dynamic and constantly evolving as a person interacts with their environment and strives to meet goals.
