India has the largest youth population in the world,
and also it is amongst the popular destination for
education. With increasing population among the
country the problem of unemployment is also rising.
After doing the prestigious MBA degrees also the
employability picture is not so positive in India which
will further results in economic crisis & talent
migration to other countries. After spending lakhs of
rupees on business courses many are finding that
tough economic times have make their job finding
difficult.
3. According to the MBAUniverse.Com--MeriTrac employability study
2012, which covered 2,264 MBAs from 29 cities and 100 B-Schools,
beyond the Top 25, only 21 percent are employable.
This shows that percentage of unemployment is raising even after
doing the prestigious management courses.
Still after knowing the consequences most of the young graduates
opt for management courses.
This presentation talks about overall scenario of management
studies in country like India.

Currently in India MBA is the most preferred carrier
option after graduation.
Every engineering college in Maharashtra is associated
to offer MBA education but quality of education provided
is an issue of debate.
Over the past few years, foreign education presence is
increased in country like India by means of innovative
management programmes. Courses like distance or
executive MBA programmes are gaining popularity in
shorter duration.
10. Global Scenario For MBA
Countries like US and Britain are also facing the
problems regarding unemployment after higher
education degrees like MBA.
Since the start of the economic recession in the US
economy in 2007, increasing numbers of graduates
have been unable to find permanent positions in their
chosen field.
Unemployment ratio is rising due to a mismatch
between the expectations of graduates and the
actual employment opportunities & nature of work
available.
11. Work Experience is also an important factor for
employment. Due to lack of experience job search is
often difficult but once individuals have work experience
in their chosen field, they find subsequent job search
efforts relatively easier.
Due to the Global Economic Crisis most of the
graduates find it difficult to get entry to the industrial
sectors for various entry level jobs.

23. Conclusion
With the increasing number of B-Schools in country like
India the number of students doing degrees like MBA has
been increased but at the same time there is a need of
evaluation of quality of education & infrastructure
facilities per students as well as the experienced
academic staff available in such institutes.
Also the collaboration between Industry- Academics -
Students is very much important for reducing the
unemployment after MBA education.
