Le Zets Research Paper
Courtesy of Le Zets Courtesy of Le Zets Everything has been done before, and the trick is to craft
the sound and present it in a new light. When scrolling through the world of music the genre "garage
blues" popped up in association with the band Le Zets. My assumption led to a universal sound of
covers and repetitive noises. Never assume. The first time I heard Le Zets, the only thing that came
out of my mouth were the words, "holy shit." What started as a duo in Los Angeles, by founder
Richard Romero (guitar, vocals), became a trio four years later, when Romero brought on Margo
Swann from Phoenix, AZ, to take over lead vocals and keyboards, as producer Bob Hoag, also
became the occasional drummer. The chemistry between the two shined on the debut album,
Deadweight, released this past June, from Atomic A Go Go Records. From start to finish, there isn't
one low point on the album; a consistency of high rollers, crunchy guitars, and catchy riffs that are
bound to lift your spirits and lead to a explosive rock concert in your head. While "Favor for a
Favor,"seems to be the only track that can truly be shoved into the garage blues genre, the album as
a whole is a cross of 70s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The hint of keys, breaks, and intense drumming, excels in it's craft, while packaging the heightened
tempo all under two minutes. Despite the music being loud, and constantly on a high, all tracks
contain the smallest of detail that represents the band's technique, such as "Lovely Eyes" – which
provides a break of Swann speaking on how a girl will say she needs 10 mins to get ready, but it
turns into 20.This comical break, that leads back to the driving drums, provides charm and
personality. "Little Blue Dress," is a personal favorite that also displays these small details, heard in
the drumming, groovy keys hidden in the intensity, and Swann's vocals that excel on every

Hard Rock Cafe Case Study
Q1.Identify the strategy changes that have taken place at Hard Rock Café since its founding in 1971.
The first Hard Rock Cafe opened its doors to the public on June 14, 1971, in London, England.
Founded by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton, two enterprising and music–loving Americans,
beginning with a guitar, it is only a joke among the friends at first, later on founder of the band –
Cream and Derek & the Dominoes sent a guitar of his here, and has booked a desk for a long time.
From then on, the other guitars were sent here continually, have not stopped at all times. Hard Rock

The 10 decisions of Operation Management are: Service and Product Design; Quality; Process and
Capacity Design; Location; Layout Design; Human Resource; Supply Chain Management;
Inventory; Scheduling; Maintenance. Hard Rock is bringing the concept of the 'experience economy'
to its cafe operation. This innovation is somewhat akin to mass customization in manufacturing. At
Hard Rock, the experience concept is to provide not only a custom meal from the menu, but a dining
event that includes a unique visual and sound experience not duplicated anywhere in the world.
Here, we first discuss the Product Design and Quality: When Hard Rock Cafe is founded, first–rate,
but moderately priced casual American fare, warm service and ever–present rock 'n' roll music and
sensibility, it was initially decorated with an eye toward eclectic American. What started as an
American dinner in the heart of London has blossomed into a way of life. Now, social norms and
preferences often suggest some tweaking of menus for local taste. The following is several
examples:
In Europe, particularly in British, there is still some fear of mad cow diseases. Therefore, Hard Rock
Café is focusing less on hamburgers and beef and more on fish and lobster in its British cafes. Such
as, it has Veggie Burger – A burger patty made of vegetables, cheese and spices served on a freshly

Essay on A Brief History of Hard Rock
The music industry has many different genres, to suit a multitude of listeners; but, the most popular
is rock. Rock has numerous genres within itself, including; heavy metal, hard rock, arena rock, and
many more. The most popular genre would be either heavy metal or hard rock. They are both very
similar in "taste" with the only differences being what the music is about and the pitch of the music.
Heavy metal is typically about the "darker" things in life and it will have an overall deeper pitch to
it. While, hard rock is considered "good–time music" and contains a multitude of different pitches.
Hard rock really began in the 1970's; but, is rooted from the music of the mid–1960's; such as,
garage rock, blues rock and psychedelic rock. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These bands along with the others that had risen from this time period are still around today and
have millions of fans. The 1980's had brought with them a new era of hard rock, the glam metal era.
During this period many of the hard rock bands of before had broken up and only a few remained.
The remaining bands changed their style of play even more, toward the heavy metal scene. This in
turn allowed the creation of the punk metal genre and the development of the heavy metal scene.
Within this new era several bands had changed their appearance along with their music. Kiss had
removed their, famous, makeup and moved toward the pop/punk genre. Near the end of this era all
of the surviving artists had either stayed with hard rock or jumped on the new, popular, heavy metal
bandwagon. Within the 2000's many of the band had come to end and were forced to separate
because most people had fallen for the heavy metal genre and were no longer interested in just heard
rock. To this day a few bands such as AC/DC and Foreigner are still holding sold out concerts and
completely refuse to ever cease, even though the public would never let it happen.
On New Year's Eve 1974, one of the greatest rock bands to have ever existed took the stage for the
first time. This band is known as AC/DC. The band first debuted at Chequers, a nightclub in Sydney,
Australia. AC/DC received their name from what was printed on the outlet of the

Led Zeppelin Essay
How Led Zeppelin Influenced American Culture
One of the most influential rock bands, Led Zeppelin, not only influenced American musicians, but
also influenced the American culture with their combined rock, heavy–metal, blues, and folk to
create an outstanding and timeless sound which can be followed from the origins of the band,
through the height of the band's career, to the legacy they left behind. Before Led Zeppelin was
founded, each of the members had previous experience playing different styles of music that
contributed to the sound of Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant's main influences were
blues player, Willie Dixon and the influences found in the country of Morocco. Both men played in
many other bands including Jeff ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They also worked with distorted amplifiers which led to the evolution of what we call today, heavy–
metal. Led Zeppelin also experienced with a softer sound by using acoustic guitars. Shortly after
releasing their 1st album, they released their second album, and became as some would say the
"biggest band in the world". Years later, the band would release a total of ten albums in all, not
including greatest hit albums. Furthermore, Led Zeppelin's music has left a lasting legacy that
influenced music over four decades and influenced many elements in today's American popular
culture. Led Zeppelin has sold millions of albums worldwide. Not only did they influence their
generation of music, but also influenced the American music that is created today. "They were the
first band to prove hard rock was a genre that a lengthy career could be built off," (Grant). In the
1970's, bands such as The Cars, The Who, Bad Company, and Lynard Skynard were greatly
influenced by Led Zeppelin, creating a heavier rock n' roll sound. They were the first few bands to
use elements Led Zeppelin created. In the 1980's, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, and Guns and Roses
also experimented with similar riffs, sounds, and style that Led Zeppelin created. Three decades
later, you can still find similar sounds and style that was incorporated into Led Zeppelin style. Bands
known for this include Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Hooty and the Blowfish. Of course, there are

The Chase Approach
The Chase Approach, developed by Marian Chase, is the dance/movement therapy orientation that
continues to be studied and practiced the most to date. This orientation focuses on the therapist
joining a client on their verbal and physical level through mirroring or attunement. These
interventions involve group work that builds trust and communication through rhythmic movements.
Mirroring of the clients' movements is a key rehabilitative intervention that validates their emotions
on a deeply personal and genuine level (Malchiodi, 2005, p.71). Susan Sandel, a student of Marian
Chase, identified the need to expand on the concept of mirroring through "empathic reflection",
which highlighted the importance of nonjudgmental and supportive growth.

Hard Rock : Extreme Rock
Thesis – Before he went to the hospital, hard rock was notorious, a rebel but when he comes back
from the hospital he is passive.
Before Hard rock was sent to the hospital for insane inmates, he was one of the most notorious
inmates in the prison. The inmates did not try to do anything funny with Hard rock because he
would not take anything lightly or humorous. The first stanza tells the reader that hard rock is a
well–known inmate. The author states Hard rock is "known not to take no shit/ from nobody" (l 1–
2). Hard rock used to have a reputation for being hard to bully, everyone in prison feared him
because he was not intimidated by anyone. Hard rock was tough that he was not afraid of the guards.
The scars, lumps, cuts shows that Hard rock was one of the toughest inmate in this prison. Another
trait about hard rock that made him notorious is when the inmates are anticipating violence coming
from him. The inmates expected him to react and do something crazy on his return. The prisoners
were waiting "we wrapped ourselves in the cloak/ Of his exploits" (l 15–16). The inmates did not
believe that Hard rock was a changed man, they assumed that he was just pretending and staying
calm before the storm strikes. They were anxious to see the old Hard rock because the violence that
he displays made him seen heroic and strong among the inmates. The last trait that shows how hard
rock used to be notorious is the things that he did to some of the guards and prisoners. One of the

Chicago I had to make the symphonic band by eighth–grade. I practice so much in seventh grade
that eighth–grade came around I was the second chair in the symphonic band tuba section. I made it
through almost all of eighth grade year and made a lot of memories but, I still had one more to go,
Chicago. We were in Chicago walking from Sears tower to The Bean. It was awesome, all of the
buildings, the smells and all of the diversity in the city was astonishing. There was a man of
African–American ethnicity that approached us and asked if we would like to donate to the
homeless shelter that he lives in, I have him $5 and I felt really bad for him. We get to an art figure
and stood on pillars placed in front of it, and took pictures. Passing by the pizza place that we ate at
later on we were confronted by a group of christians caroling in the streets of Chicago, and we were
asked if we wanted to sing with them. We rejected the question and continued walking down the
street. Overall in four days I saw a diversity level way higher than I've ever seen in Alpena in eight
years. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

My Favorite Music Essay
Teenage years are the times for new experiences and music was no different as the experience
marked with great memories of music that is very nostalgic and can be attached to moments good or
bad that make us reminisce when we hear the music of our child hood. I am Mexican and my
teenage years I spent in Mexico until I was sixteen when my family migrated to the united states
however I didn't really understood English I can honestly say that I like Rock En Espanol and would
not hesitate to say that it is my favorite genre of music when I was a teenager, I will try my best to
share my favorite music as I reminisce on some great music in my past. As a teenager growing up in
Mexico I wasn't really interested in listening to music, as my interest were sports and television. The
musical influences that I can recall in my early childhood, were those of my parents. Who would
listen to Corridos and Rancheras, which were a type of folk Mexican revolutionary music, they
would sing about the struggles in life during the Mexican civil war. As I grew up the type of music
my friends listen to were Cumbias Colombianas and Rock En Espanol those were my early
memories of music which I still listen and enjoy today. I would listen to Rock En Espanol artist like
Café Tacuba, Caifanes, Mana, Maldita Vecindad, Enanitos Verdes, and Fabulosos Cadillacs. I began
listening more to the lyrics and the sound of the music for example, Maldita Vecindad has a Rock
sound that evolved into a Ska sound.

Also, 48% from its revenue come from retail merchandise. Hard rock Café strategy has changed
over time since 1971. It has moved from a London small café, to food plus entertainment, to food
plus an experience. "Restaurant–goers don't just want a meal; increasingly, they want an experience,
and Hard Rock's operation strategy is designed to provide that experience." ² HRC claims its
mission is "to spread the spirit of 'rock 'n' roll by creating authentic experiences that rock." ¹. Their
success and growth come from adopting this experience strategy. While a first–time customer
spreads the mustard and ketchup on a thick juicy hamburger, and takes that first sip of a frozen
margarita, he or she should read the HRC motto, just below the mission statement. The idea of HRC
is to "Love all – Serve All," and moreover, "All is one...Save the Planet...Take time to Be Kind."
Those are some pretty radical ideas – a for–profit corporation reminding people to be "kind" and to
"save the planet" – when it comes to comparison of HRC with other restaurant chains. But it would
appear that companies like HRC and Starbucks, that go out of their way to publicize and advocate
for the urgent environmental needs of the planet and the needs of less fortunate people, have had a
powerful influence on other restaurants. Chili's for example is "proud to support St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital" ³.Customers can use crayons at Chili's restaurants to draw

The feel of his strong manly body against my flesh stirred an ember into a flame. I kissed his arms,

Executive Summary
Hard Rock International is chain of cafés, hotels, casinos, and theme parks spread across 53
countries. It has the world's largest collection of rock 'n' roll memorabilia that the customers can see
when they visit any of Hard Rock's locations. Hard Rock's main business model was built around a
customer–centric approach. As the business was growing, the customer queries were hitting the
numbers close to 56000 inquiries annually; a number that was getting difficult for the existing

The major problem with the existing CRM system was that it did not have the capability to integrate
with Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. Due to this, "Customer Care representatives had to switch
between multiple applications to find information and communicate with customers and general
managers at restaurant and hotel venues." Also, the outdated system required more than normal
maintenance. "We needed software with new capabilities, solutions and benefits for Hard Rock,"
said Patrick.
Solution
Hard Rock reached out to a Microsoft certified consulting group for help in enhancing the CRM
system. After a detailed review of the needs of Hard Rock and existing applications used to respond
to customers, the consulting group designed and implemented a solution based on Microsoft
Dynamics CRM. The consulting company imported about 1.5 million customer records to the new
system. In words of Patrick, "We were attracted to Microsoft Dynamics CRM because it tightly
integrates with Office Outlook and it's based on the Microsoft .NET Framework, which lets our
developers rapidly prototype and implement new functionality."
Results
As a result of implementing CRM into their system, Hard Rock is now equipped to provide
customer service to the increasing number of queries without sacrificing quality but providing better
quality service. Since the new CRM system integrates Hard Rock's customer database with
Microsoft Outlook, it gives the customer care representatives the

Tunes to Tune Up Your Body to
Ah, the sound of music, one of the modern marvels that man has created since its beginning. Over
time, we have developed new ways to produce it, and now, we can hear what others have produced
on our phones, MP3 players, and radios. This is the most awesome thing, because now, we can take
music anywhere with us, even when we are out and about working out. In fact, it is scientifically
proven to improve your exercising performance if you listen to the right songs. Now, how about we

Comparing Kimmel Center And The Hard Rock Cafe
McDonaldization effects all aspects of today's society–even the venues we often overlook. Two
examples of some commonly overlooked McDonaldized venues are the Kimmel Center and the
Hard Rock Cafe. Both of these venues emphasize the McDonald elements of success according to
George Ritzer: efficiency, Calculability, predictability, and control. (14, Ritzer). Although these
places may feel like a luxurious break from the everyday fast food trip, they are not all that much
different.
The Kimmel Center demonstrates its efficiency in the way it is set up. Thoughtful procedures have
been put in place to cut down on human interaction–a "do it yourself" environment. For example,
ropes indicate where you can and cannot go in order to avoid any mishaps. Employees sit and wait
for you to come up and ask them a question (ropes form a maze in front of them as well, to indicate
the way in which a line must be formed). Giant signs signify which rooms are which: Verizon Hall,

played in many different forms and styles. As early as the 1950 's, a new style of music was being
created in the Untied States, one that forever changed the world. Not only did it bring a completely
different sound, but it changed the way people acted, dressed, and even people 's lifestyles. This new
style of music became known as Rock and Roll. It drew many from a one–way path to a sea of
possibilities musically. Me being a music lover really enjoyed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame site.
Rock and Roll have sheltered and comforted me in many times of needs. For as long as I can
remember as a kid and throughout my painful adolescence years, and also as an adult, it has inspired
me to appreciate the music of all kinds throughout the years.
One memory that music helped me get through was an altercation with my step dad, who was very
mean and abusive towards all of us kids growing up, was a song from Aerosmith. I grew up loving
Aerosmith but, when the song "Janie 's Got a Gun" was released I would play it over and over as an
escape mechanism. My step–Dad sure didn 't like it and the older I got, I think he knew I was fed up
and started fighting back which made him leave me alone.
Aerosmith was an inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. They formed the group in
1970 with Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, and Steven Tyler, who then was the drummer.

Mullet Hairstyle and Hair Design: The best ways to
The Mullet hair design focuses on having the lower area of the back of the head having hair that is
longer than the hair on the remainder of the head. The Mullet hair design is informally described as

Decision-Making Model: Hard Rock Cafe
4)Decision Making Model
The decisionmaking model consists of five steps; problem recognition, information search,
alternative evaluation, purchase decision, postpurchase evaluation. Within the restaurant industry
problem recognition would be defined as the consumer realizing they are hungry and need to find a
place to eat. The next step is information search. This could be when a family member looks in the
fridge and realizes there is nothing desirable. The following step is alternative evaluation, this would
mean after they have looked in the fridge they decide to go on yelp and look for a place they would
like to eat. This step is where Hard Rock Cafes target market is located The target audience for the

What's to be said about metal that hasn't been said yet? The genre has crawled out from the darkness
and the popularity of it has sparked numerous respectable bands and plenty of forgettable ones.
Nevertheless, there are always those few bands rooted so deep into the genre that the appearance
they settle with in doom metal appears to be their natural state. Releasing their 15th album since
their formation in 1988, Halifax, England's Paradise Lost is one of the godfathers of the genre,
fluctuating between doom, gothic and synth rock throughout their almost 30–year career. The band's

Analysis Assignment- Stairway to Heaven
ANALYSIS ASSIGNMENT– STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN
Through ineffective manipulation of structure, timbre and melody, Victor Lopez's short version of
Stairway to Heaven fails to convey the same mood and effect on the listener as the original classic
piece by Led Zeppelin.
Jimmy Page, lead guitarist of hard rock band Led Zeppelin, and composer of Stairway to Heaven,
once said with reference to the album this piece was released on, "My vocation is more in
composition really than anything else – building up harmonies using the guitar, orchestrating the
guitar like an army, a guitar army". Victor Lopez's variation of Stairway to Heaven unsuccessfully
attempts to capture the same style and mood, given its complete change in genre and lack of
sensitivity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The introduction starts with every instrument playing and an attempted take off of the chorus,
contrasting the idea of one melody growing in Led Zeppelin's version. The arranged variation begins
in E flat major and modulates to D major. There is no clear melody evident at all throughout the
piece, as the number of instruments playing at similar volumes, makes it hard to determine.
Ornamentation is also a key musical flourish in the original, that lacks in Victor Lopez's version, as
there is no guitar and therefore none of the brilliant guitar techniques mentioned above, to make the
music come alive and become more than just notes on a page.
The timbre or characteristic quality of sound displays a great difference when comparing the jazz
arrangement of Stairway to Heaven to the original. Jimmy Page manipulates his guitar as the main
sound source with such brilliance, using a variety of methods such as pull offs, vibrato, hammer–
ons, bends and slides (see Figure 2). The guitar is the central instrument and is held responsible for
the individuality and vividness of the piece as it holds the majority of the melody, and in particular
brings out the contrast during the bridge and solo (5:35). The entire piece depends on the guitar as it
continues to play throughout the whole song and is accountable for the most complex part,
portraying the creativity and ingeniousness of Stairway to

Essay on Kid Rock, Fuel, and Buckcherry
Kid Rock, Fuel, and Buckcherry
For my first critical essay, I have chosen to review my attendance and experience at a rock concert.
On Thursday January 18, at the Scottenstein Center in Columbus, I attended the concert of the
controversial Kid Rock. Other performers at the show included rock bands Fuel and Buckcherry.
Although there were only three bands that preformed that night, I found another source of
entertainment within the crowd of people; the wild antics of the die hard fans. In my essay I will try
and attempt to describe as realistically as possible, my experience. Prior to the concert I had been
somewhat familiar with all three bands' music. I was excited to attend the show, but I didn't know
what to expect. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After about a twenty minute wait, the first band took the stage. The first band was my favorite of the
three, Fuel. Fuel made a calm but cool appearance, and put on what I felt to be a great show. After
they were done, I thought that the eighteen dollars I spent to buy a ticket was already well worth it.
Fuel has many songs on the radio, so the fans sang along and seemed to have a good time.
I also found myself getting extremely into their performance at times, and screaming out their lyrics
in unison. After they exited the stage I heard a couple of nearby fans wishing they had played longer.
Overall, their performance was outstanding. As we waited for the next band to take the stage, more
people filtered into the arena. As more people arrived, I found the noise level to jump also. The
space in front of the stage that I was occupying, seemed to get smaller and smaller as more people
squeezed in. After another tedious wait,
Buckcherry arrived. Their entrance was a little bit louder and more fans seemed to get into it this
time. As they played, I realized their music to be very heavy and thrashing at times. One song
almost gave me a headache. On the up side, I enjoyed one of their songs a lot. It is called "All Lit
Up". It gained great airplay on the radio a couple of years ago, and I actually have it in my
collection at home. When Buckcherry performed this song I found myself jumping up and down
along with the crowd. It is a real

Why Eddie Van Halen is an Influential Musician Essay
There are certain musicians that come along that shift a culture, attitude, or future musicians.
Another musician that went on influence future generations and considered one of the greatest guitar
players in the world is Eddie Van Halen. Eddie Van Halen was born in Holland in 1955 and
immigrated to Pasadena California. At the age of seven, Eddie was training as a classical pianist,
although his love for Rock and Roll was developing. He started working a paper route and used the
money to buy a drum set. His brother Alex, also musically inclined, bought a guitar. After months of
practicing, Alex and Eddie switched instruments. Alex would spend hours on Eddie's drums and
loved to play them. Eddie, a little frustrated with the drums, ... Show more content on

A little later, Eddie heard Michael Anthony on the bass and thought that he was perfect for their
band. Still, something was missing; Alex thought they needed a front man. He suggested that they
let David Lee Roth be the front man, mainly to save the rent money on the PA system. David Lee
came on board and thought the brother's last name sounded cool, and the rock group "Van Halen"
was born. On one particular show, Gene Simmons from Kiss caught Van Halen at the local gig. He
offered to help them out. Gene Simmons flew Van Halen to New York to tape a demo and
introduced them to the Kiss production management. They had no interest in Van Halen citing that
there was no commercial value to Van Halen, so the band went back to their local gigs in California.
During a show in Hollywood, Warner Brothers records representative Ted Templeman saw their act
and signed them less than a week later for a record deal with the Warner brother's label. They
headed out on the road immediately and caught up with Warner Brothers headliners to open their
shows. The other groups were not very pleased with the band, especially when Van Halen started
getting better reviews. Van Halen was then off to England to open for another band that Eddie
idolized, Black Sabbath. Ozzie was so impressed with the band that he admitted that Van Halen was
outplaying Sabbath. At least that is what Ozzie said according to the Van Halen camp.
Van Halen went on to record 26 albums in their career with

Hard Rock Returns To Prison Poem Analysis
The "Hard Rock" was a main inmate in the poem. The name of Hard Rock is based on a hard nut to
crack because he was the only one inmate who never submitted and gave a lot of troubles to officers.
The Hard Rock was treated really badly and punished as warning to other inmates in the hospital.
Why he was treated so badly is because not only he never submitted to officers; there might be that
he was a black person. While the Hard Rock was treated badly, other inmates were very submissive
to officers because they did not want to be treated in the same way as Hard Rock. He was forced
under the strong power in the oppressive community, yet he had the power of perseverance and was
very strong; hence, his attitude has not changed through the poem. The Hard Rock was a hero for
other inmates because he was very strong, against the authority, and brought hope to other inmates
in the poem "Hard Rock Returns to Prison" by Etheridge Knight. The Hard Rock was very strong.
Hard Rock was standing every treatment he had, no matter how badly the treatment was; thus, his
body was full of scars and welts. His treatment by officers and doctors were inhumane. For
instances, he has cut his brain and shot electricity while he was operated by doctors to make him
submissive. In addition, there was testing if Hard Rock had changed his attitude and submitted to
officers, yet he has not changed. Diversity of extreme punishments on Hard Rock could not only

Differentiating Between Market Structures
The hospitality industry has always been above and beyond for excellence. In today's hospitality
industry, the competitive structure is not so much aggressive but more unique with tactics. Every
company tries to one up the next person by using creative approaches to intrigue each consumer
when they are on vacation. Since we do live in Vegas, how does that work? Every structure is owned
by this guy or that guy, and that's where loyalty comes into play. My job, Hard Rock Café has

Time is a big concern for everyone in this process. Time is also money for the corporation. If the
café used the oligopoly market then they would have to focus on which café gets what and how
would it benefit the company as a whole. I feel like monopoly and oligopoly marketing is meant for
smaller businesses and chains. When it comes to marketing techniques a perfect competition would
be best suitable for larger chains like our café. For more Vegas based companies the other ones
could have a better suit for the hospitality industry.
Hard Rock Café could use different competitive strategies to gain and maximize profit. Cost
leadership is one strategic thought the company could use. "Cost leadership is a business strategy
that allows a company to become the lowest cost production company in an industry. Traditionally,
businesses have two options for improving profits: increasing sales or decreasing costs" (Houston
Chronicles , 2015). This would help out the company if they wanted to use different types of
materials, foods, or products to upsell to each consumer. This would balance the labor and
compliment the supply and demand factor. Another strategy that should be used is differentiation.
There are two types used in this example, actual and perceived. "Actual differentiation involves
creating products that are not

alcohol poisoning and hypothermia. This set the future of AC/DC for the rest of their careers. After
the death of Bon Scott and within that same year, AC/DC acquired Brian Johnson and made their
first album together Back in Black. They released the classic song "Back in Black", but there are
many misheard lyrics in that song. Musically, it makes you think you can conquer the world and
nothing could stop you. As a tribute to their late singer, Bon Scott, the band dedicated the album to
him. To date, Back in Black is AC/DC's best–selling album, ... Show more content on

This can be misinterpreted as saying "Nine lies, capsized. Using every woman in line." I think
another reason for mishearing Johnson's lyrics is simply the way he sings. Brian Johnson has a
unique voice and does not sing clearly. So, you can read the lyrics yourself, then listen to the song
and hear something completely different. Brian Johnson is from Northeast England, known as
Tyneside. The people who live there are infamously known for their accent, which is called a
Geordie accent. This accent is typically associated with the working–class people of the region, but
until the 80's was referred to anyone in Northeast England. So, the fact that there is already a
dialectal difference, from Great Britain to the United States, plays a big role into mishearing the
lyrics. Plus, Johnson's accent plays a big role into mishearing the lyrics as well. My dad is an
outdoorsman, he likes to fish, hunt, trap, you name it he does it. Growing up, I was exposed to the
music that my parents listen to. My dad would always take me on hunting or fishing trips out in the
country at our cabin. During the car rides, he would play his favorite bands on CDs. He would listen
to Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, and other metal bands. One he played the most
often though, was AC/DC. He had multiple CDs from them from both the Bon Scott and Brian
Johnson eras. One I specifically remember was "Back in Black". He would

  • 3. Le Zets Research Paper Courtesy of Le Zets Courtesy of Le Zets Everything has been done before, and the trick is to craft the sound and present it in a new light. When scrolling through the world of music the genre "garage blues" popped up in association with the band Le Zets. My assumption led to a universal sound of covers and repetitive noises. Never assume. The first time I heard Le Zets, the only thing that came out of my mouth were the words, "holy shit." What started as a duo in Los Angeles, by founder Richard Romero (guitar, vocals), became a trio four years later, when Romero brought on Margo Swann from Phoenix, AZ, to take over lead vocals and keyboards, as producer Bob Hoag, also became the occasional drummer. The chemistry between the two shined on the debut album, Deadweight, released this past June, from Atomic A Go Go Records. From start to finish, there isn't one low point on the album; a consistency of high rollers, crunchy guitars, and catchy riffs that are bound to lift your spirits and lead to a explosive rock concert in your head. While "Favor for a Favor,"seems to be the only track that can truly be shoved into the garage blues genre, the album as a whole is a cross of 70s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Little Blue Dress," is a personal favorite that also displays these small details, heard in the drumming, groovy keys hidden in the intensity, and Swann's vocals that excel on every ... The first Hard Rock Cafe opened its doors to the public on June 14, 1971, in London, England. Founded by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton, two enterprising and music–loving Americans, beginning with a guitar, it is only a joke among the friends at first, later on founder of the band – Cream and Derek & the Dominoes sent a guitar of his here, and has booked a desk for a long time. The 10 decisions of Operation Management are: Service and Product Design; Quality; Process and Capacity Design; Location; Layout Design; Human Resource; Supply Chain Management; Inventory; Scheduling; Maintenance. Hard Rock is bringing the concept of the 'experience economy' to its cafe operation. This innovation is somewhat akin to mass customization in manufacturing. At Hard Rock, the experience concept is to provide not only a custom meal from the menu, but a dining event that includes a unique visual and sound experience not duplicated anywhere in the world. Here, we first discuss the Product Design and Quality: When Hard Rock Cafe is founded, first–rate, but moderately priced casual American fare, warm service and ever–present rock 'n' roll music and sensibility, it was initially decorated with an eye toward eclectic American. What started as an American dinner in the heart of London has blossomed into a way of life. Now, social norms and preferences often suggest some tweaking of menus for local taste. The following is several examples: In Europe, particularly in British, there is still some fear of mad cow diseases. Rock has numerous genres within itself, including; heavy metal, hard rock, arena rock, and many more. The most popular genre would be either heavy metal or hard rock. They are both very similar in "taste" with the only differences being what the music is about and the pitch of the music. These bands along with the others that had risen from this time period are still around today and have millions of fans. The 1980's had brought with them a new era of hard rock, the glam metal era. During this period many of the hard rock bands of before had broken up and only a few remained. The remaining bands changed their style of play even more, toward the heavy metal scene. This in turn allowed the creation of the punk metal genre and the development of the heavy metal scene. Within this new era several bands had changed their appearance along with their music. Kiss had removed their, famous, makeup and moved toward the pop/punk genre. Near the end of this era all of the surviving artists had either stayed with hard rock or jumped on the new, popular, heavy metal bandwagon. Within the 2000's many of the band had come to end and were forced to separate because most people had fallen for the heavy metal genre and were no longer interested in just heard rock. To this day a few bands such as AC/DC and Foreigner are still holding sold out concerts and completely refuse to ever cease, even though the public would never let it happen. This orientation focuses on the therapist joining a client on their verbal and physical level through mirroring or attunement. These interventions involve group work that builds trust and communication through rhythmic movements. Mirroring of the clients' movements is a key rehabilitative intervention that validates their emotions on a deeply personal and genuine level (Malchiodi, 2005, p.71). Susan Sandel, a student of Marian Chase, identified the need to expand on the concept of mirroring through "empathic reflection", which highlighted the importance of nonjudgmental and supportive growth. ... Before Hard rock was sent to the hospital for insane inmates, he was one of the most notorious inmates in the prison. The inmates did not try to do anything funny with Hard rock because he would not take anything lightly or humorous. The first stanza tells the reader that hard rock is a well–known inmate. The author states Hard rock is "known not to take no shit/ from nobody" (l 1– 2). Hard rock used to have a reputation for being hard to bully, everyone in prison feared him because he was not intimidated by anyone. Hard rock was tough that he was not afraid of the guards. The scars, lumps, cuts shows that Hard rock was one of the toughest inmate in this prison. Another trait about hard rock that made him notorious is when the inmates are anticipating violence coming from him. The inmates expected him to react and do something crazy on his return. The prisoners were waiting "we wrapped ourselves in the cloak/ Of his exploits" (l 15–16). The inmates did not believe that Hard rock was a changed man, they assumed that he was just pretending and staying calm before the storm strikes. They were anxious to see the old Hard rock because the violence that he displays made him seen heroic and strong among the inmates. My Favorite Music Essay Teenage years are the times for new experiences and music was no different as the experience marked with great memories of music that is very nostalgic and can be attached to moments good or bad that make us reminisce when we hear the music of our child hood. I am Mexican and my teenage years I spent in Mexico until I was sixteen when my family migrated to the united states however I didn't really understood English I can honestly say that I like Rock En Espanol and would not hesitate to say that it is my favorite genre of music when I was a teenager, I will try my best to share my favorite music as I reminisce on some great music in my past. As a teenager growing up in Mexico I wasn't really interested in listening to music, as my interest were sports and television. The musical influences that I can recall in my early childhood, were those of my parents. Who would listen to Corridos and Rancheras, which were a type of folk Mexican revolutionary music, they would sing about the struggles in life during the Mexican civil war. As I grew up the type of music my friends listen to were Cumbias Colombianas and Rock En Espanol those were my early memories of music which I still listen and enjoy today. I would listen to Rock En Espanol artist like Café Tacuba, Caifanes, Mana, Maldita Vecindad, Enanitos Verdes, and Fabulosos Cadillacs. I began listening more to the lyrics and the sound of the music for example, Maldita Vecindad has a Rock sound that evolved into a Ska sound. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The HRC is also famous for its music collectibles, including guitars used by icons in the industry (i.e. Madonna, Jimi Hendrix, etc), fashion merchandise, live concerts, and Hard Rock Live performance venues. It has moved from a London small café, to food plus entertainment, to food plus an experience. "Restaurant–goers don't just want a meal; increasingly, they want an experience, and Hard Rock's operation strategy is designed to provide that experience." ² HRC claims its mission is "to spread the spirit of 'rock 'n' roll by creating authentic experiences that rock." ¹. Their success and growth come from adopting this experience strategy. While a first–time customer spreads the mustard and ketchup on a thick juicy hamburger, and takes that first sip of a frozen margarita, he or she should read the HRC motto, just below the mission statement. The idea of HRC is to "Love all – Serve All," and moreover, "All is one...Save the Planet...Take time to Be Kind." Those are some pretty radical ideas – a for–profit corporation reminding people to be "kind" and to "save the planet" – when it comes to comparison of HRC with other restaurant chains. But it would appear that companies like HRC and Starbucks, that go out of their way to publicize and advocate for the urgent environmental needs of the planet and the needs of less fortunate people, have had a powerful influence on other restaurants. Two examples of some commonly overlooked McDonaldized venues are the Kimmel Center and the Hard Rock Cafe. Both of these venues emphasize the McDonald elements of success according to George Ritzer: efficiency, Calculability, predictability, and control. (14, Ritzer). Although these places may feel like a luxurious break from the everyday fast food trip, they are not all that much different. The Kimmel Center demonstrates its efficiency in the way it is set up. Thoughtful procedures have been put in place to cut down on human interaction–a "do it yourself" environment. For example, ropes indicate where you can and cannot go in order to avoid any mishaps. I grew up loving Aerosmith but, when the song "Janie 's Got a Gun" was released I would play it over and over as an escape mechanism. My step–Dad sure didn 't like it and the older I got, I think he knew I was fed up and started fighting back which made him leave me alone. The introduction starts with every instrument playing and an attempted take off of the chorus, contrasting the idea of one melody growing in Led Zeppelin's version. The arranged variation begins in E flat major and modulates to D major. There is no clear melody evident at all throughout the piece, as the number of instruments playing at similar volumes, makes it hard to determine. Ornamentation is also a key musical flourish in the original, that lacks in Victor Lopez's version, as there is no guitar and therefore none of the brilliant guitar techniques mentioned above, to make the music come alive and become more than just notes on a page. The timbre or characteristic quality of sound displays a great difference when comparing the jazz arrangement of Stairway to Heaven to the original. Jimmy Page manipulates his guitar as the main sound source with such brilliance, using a variety of methods such as pull offs, vibrato, hammer– ons, bends and slides (see Figure 2). The guitar is the central instrument and is held responsible for the individuality and vividness of the piece as it holds the majority of the melody, and in particular brings out the contrast during the bridge and solo (5:35). He started working a paper route and used the money to buy a drum set. His brother Alex, also musically inclined, bought a guitar. After months of practicing, Alex and Eddie switched instruments. David Lee came on board and thought the brother's last name sounded cool, and the rock group "Van Halen" was born. On one particular show, Gene Simmons from Kiss caught Van Halen at the local gig. He offered to help them out. Gene Simmons flew Van Halen to New York to tape a demo and introduced them to the Kiss production management. They had no interest in Van Halen citing that there was no commercial value to Van Halen, so the band went back to their local gigs in California. During a show in Hollywood, Warner Brothers records representative Ted Templeman saw their act and signed them less than a week later for a record deal with the Warner brother's label. They headed out on the road immediately and caught up with Warner Brothers headliners to open their shows. • 65. Personal Narrative: My Family Trip To Disney World So one day our family decided to go to Disney World with her family. It was our family, our aunts family, my mom's parents, and Emmy and Bear. We took 2 cars, 6 people in each. It took us a whole 11 hours to get there! When we got there we stayed in 2 apartments called New Orleans. The first morning we woke up and went to the bus stop. The bus picked us up and took us to Epcot. There was a big shiny ball that you could go inside. We all got in line, but because we had fast passes we could pass everyone. We got on this car thingy and it started flying around the room. Then there was questions we had to answer on the wall. It was so cool, my sister loved it. When we were done with that we all rode the Test Track. You got to make your own car ... • 69. Hard Rock Returns To Prison Poem Analysis The "Hard Rock" was a main inmate in the poem. The name of Hard Rock is based on a hard nut to crack because he was the only one inmate who never submitted and gave a lot of troubles to officers. The Hard Rock was treated really badly and punished as warning to other inmates in the hospital. Why he was treated so badly is because not only he never submitted to officers; there might be that he was a black person. While the Hard Rock was treated badly, other inmates were very submissive to officers because they did not want to be treated in the same way as Hard Rock. He was forced under the strong power in the oppressive community, yet he had the power of perseverance and was very strong; hence, his attitude has not changed through the poem. The Hard Rock was a hero for other inmates because he was very strong, against the authority, and brought hope to other inmates in the poem "Hard Rock Returns to Prison" by Etheridge Knight. The Hard Rock was very strong. Hard Rock was standing every treatment he had, no matter how badly the treatment was; thus, his body was full of scars and welts. His treatment by officers and doctors were inhumane. For instances, he has cut his brain and shot electricity while he was operated by doctors to make him submissive. In addition, there was testing if Hard Rock had changed his attitude and submitted to officers, yet he has not changed. Diversity of extreme punishments on Hard Rock could not only change the behavior; it could also ruin the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Elastic Paper Differentiating Between Market Structures Angela Graham ECO/365 January 6, 2015 Biagio Vultaggio Differentiating Between Market Structures The hospitality industry has always been above and beyond for excellence. In today's hospitality industry, the competitive structure is not so much aggressive but more unique with tactics. Every company tries to one up the next person by using creative approaches to intrigue each consumer when they are on vacation. Since we do live in Vegas, how does that work? Every structure is owned by this guy or that guy, and that's where loyalty comes into play. My job, Hard Rock Café has everything possible for an independent company. Time is also money for the corporation. If the café used the oligopoly market then they would have to focus on which café gets what and how would it benefit the company as a whole. I feel like monopoly and oligopoly marketing is meant for smaller businesses and chains. When it comes to marketing techniques a perfect competition would be best suitable for larger chains like our café. For more Vegas based companies the other ones could have a better suit for the hospitality industry. Hard Rock Café could use different competitive strategies to gain and maximize profit. Cost leadership is one strategic thought the company could use. "Cost leadership is a business strategy that allows a company to become the lowest cost production company in an industry. Traditionally, businesses have two options for improving profits: increasing sales or decreasing costs" (Houston Chronicles , 2015). This would help out the company if they wanted to use different types of materials, foods, or products to upsell to each consumer. This would balance the labor and compliment the supply and demand factor. Another strategy that should be used is differentiation. There are two types used in this example, actual and perceived. • 73. Personal Narrative: My Decision To Close The Tualatin Haggen I am incredibly disappointed in the decision to close the Tualatin Haggen which has been a part of the Tualatin community for many years. Our Haggen has been around for my entire life and I always feel at home when I go there; a feeling I believe I share with many of its other customers. I'm friends with many of the employees and am incredibly saddened to hear that almost all of them will have no place to work after the store closes. The people who work there are some of the kindest and hardest working people I have ever met and deserve to have a feeling of security knowing where their next paycheck is coming from. If the Tualatin Haggen does indeed close I hope there is some way to allow the 73 people who work at the store to find new jobs within your company. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It's a place where people feel happy and are always surrounded by employees who care. It's a friendly environment that's hard to find at other stores these days. There are many families I have talked to who have no idea where they are going to shop after the store has closed. Additionally, it seems impractical to close the store before the lease is up. There will be an empty grocery store in the heart of our town causing our economy to suffer drastically. If the lease was up, a new company could buy the location and add a new store to our community, but, instead, the building will now sit there until the lease is up. Also, it is unfair to refuse to restock the store. It is unfair to the employees who might be out of a job weeks before you told them they would. Being out of a job sooner than expected can be detrimental to many of the employee's lives, especially those with families to support. Lastly, it is unfair to the customers who wish to enjoy Haggen until the closing date on October ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 75. My Life After The Big Rock Candy Mountain By Harry Mcclintock Throughout my life, I have moved around three times but have lived in four different states. I have lived in Montana, Wisconsin, Indiana and last but not least, Illinois. Every move has taught me what life is really about. In fact, throughout each move I have associated music into my life immensely. Traveling with music was my way of expressing who I am through each move. These five songs I associate with my traveling experiences and how they have impacted my perspective on life. Days Go By by Keith Urban, Bartender by Lady Antebellum, The Big Rock Candy Mountain by Harry McClintock, Send My Love by Adele and I would walk 5,000 miles by Mary Carpenter are my top five songs of traveling with music. It was not recently that I went to my first concert ever, which was in fact Keith Urban. It was a good way to bring back all the old memories that we had, traveling back to Montana every year. To this day, we still travel out west but since we have been moving around a lot; we are not as reliant on Keith Urban as we used. However, he is still our "calming" music when life gets tough for our family. Bartender by Lady Antebellum it top two of my favorite songs. I like this song not only because of the message that is says, but the story behind it. I like how whenever, I listen to this song I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing at the time. It was the summer of 2014 at one of our cabins in the Big Sky country of Montana. My aunt came running out of the door yelling at us to come help her. As we ran into the bathroom in crisis mood ready to help wherever we could. Little did we know, it was not a fire or broken lamp, the problem was located in the bathroom. As we walked into the bathroom, we all screamed. Water was overflowing from the toilet every direction, from that moment on we knew that the toilet was severely clogged. Since the septic tank was made during the early 1800's, we could not just unclog it with a plunger. Two roader–eaters, and ten people we finally managed to unclog ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In February 1980, AC/DC suffered the loss of their singer, Bon Scott, from alcohol poisoning and hypothermia. This set the future of AC/DC for the rest of their careers. After the death of Bon Scott and within that same year, AC/DC acquired Brian Johnson and made their first album together Back in Black. They released the classic song "Back in Black", but there are many misheard lyrics in that song. Musically, it makes you think you can conquer the world and nothing could stop you. As a tribute to their late singer, Bon Scott, the band dedicated the album to him. To date, Back in Black is AC/DC's best–selling album, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This can be misinterpreted as saying "Nine lies, capsized. Using every woman in line." I think another reason for mishearing Johnson's lyrics is simply the way he sings. Brian Johnson has a unique voice and does not sing clearly. So, you can read the lyrics yourself, then listen to the song and hear something completely different. Brian Johnson is from Northeast England, known as Tyneside. The people who live there are infamously known for their accent, which is called a Geordie accent. This accent is typically associated with the working–class people of the region, but until the 80's was referred to anyone in Northeast England. So, the fact that there is already a dialectal difference, from Great Britain to the United States, plays a big role into mishearing the lyrics. Plus, Johnson's accent plays a big role into mishearing the lyrics as well. My dad is an outdoorsman, he likes to fish, hunt, trap, you name it he does it. Growing up, I was exposed to the music that my parents listen to. My dad would always take me on hunting or fishing trips out in the country at our cabin. During the car rides, he would play his favorite bands on CDs. He would listen to Black Sabbath, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, and other metal bands. One he played the most often though, was AC/DC.
