Islamic Terrorism And Islamic Extremist Violence
On the 13th of November 2015, a terrorist attack was carried out in the city of Paris killing 130
civilians (BBC src. A 2015). This attack surfaced many underlying fears of increased immigration
from Islamic countries such as Syria. France and the Netherlands, along with other Western
European powers, are becoming increasingly wary of opening their borders to the Syrian refugees
out of fear of Islamic extremism―and with good reason. Previous to the Paris Attacks― in January
of this year―France witnessed another terrorist attack at the headquarter of a satirical magazine:
Charlie Hebdo (BBC src. B 2015). The Netherlands has also fallen prey to Islamic extremist
violence in the case of the public murder of Theo Van Gogh, a controversial film ... Show more

A and B). The Netherlands, the most progressive of the two, was the first nation in the world to
legalize gay marriage (Pew Research 2015). Also in both governments, the executive branch is split
into the head of state and the head of government. The Netherland's government varies in that it
takes the form of a constitutional monarchy. In the legislative branch, both countries take the shape
of a traditional parliament, functioning fundamentally parallel (CIA src. A and B 2015). Both
countries represent a multiparty system containing coalitions of center–right and center–left parties.
A significant anomaly present in both countries is the rise of right–wing parties: Front National
(France), and the Party for Freedom (the Netherlands) under the political leadership of Marine Le
Pen in France and Geert Wilders in the Netherlands.
These right–wing parties promote anti–islamic platforms and support the reduction of immigration
in efforts to preserve their national identity. In the most recent regional elections in France, the
National Front lead in six of the thirteen regions winning "27.73% of the vote in the first round,
followed by Mr Sarkozy 's Republicans on 26.65%, and President Francois Hollande 's Socialists
with 23.12%" (BBC src. D 2015). The National Front's success in the first round of elections was
thought to serve as representation of the future presidential election in

Essay about Islam has Been Hijacked by Terrorism
In the wake of September 11, leading Muslims in America and other Western countries rushed to
condemn the killings. Yet they were slower to condemn the likely killers. "They, of course, condemn
the destruction that happened on September 11," says Daniel Pipes, the director of the Middle East
Forum, a think tank in Philadelphia. "The leading organizations have never, however, condemned
the Taliban, Osama bin Laden, militant Islam."
American Islamic leaders reply to such charges with indignation. They protest that it is unfair, even
bigoted, to demand that they disassociate themselves from people with whom they have never been
associated. "What we've found is that other religions don't have to defend their faith when ... Show

During the 1950s, loyal American leftists resented and resisted demands that they specifically
denounce Communism or be presumed fellow travelers. More recently, mainstream African–
Americans likewise protested demands that they disassociate themselves from Louis Farrakhan or
other controversial figures, with whom they have nothing in common apart from skin color. In 1994,
peaceable Jews everywhere were swift to condemn the massacre of 29 praying Palestinians by an
Israeli settler named Baruch Goldstein; but they were equally swift to deny, rightly, that Goldstein's
demented act had anything to do with Judaism or with themselves.
The false–accountability smear is the oldest trick in the book, and anyone who has been on the
receiving end knows how effective it is. Even to assert that you should not have to defend yourself
sounds defensive. All sympathy, then, to Muslim leaders in America and other Western countries
who protest being held accountable for what they do not say about events they had nothing to do
with.
But in this particular case, they are wrong. On September 11, history saddled them with a special
obligation to speak out in specific and unequivocal terms against terror in any and all its guises, not

The Conflict Of Terrorism During The 9 / 11
Question Two At the end of chapter 1 the commission states: "the conflict did not begin on 9/11".
The 9/11 report gives several examples of how the conflict of terrorism began many years before
that tragic day. The Pentagon became worried about the external threat of terrorism as a result of
hostages being taken as early as the 1970's.There were many events looking back that gave America
clues that an attack was planned. Hopefully looking at these events will help America plan to
prevent future attacks of this kind. In 1990 external threats to our country were identified. However,
we were unprepared to deal with these threats effectively (Jacobson: 18). The ten year conflict in
Afghanistan that began in 1979 made many Islamic extremists very mad and wanting revenge on the
United States (Jacobson: 31). Usama Bin Laden, the leader of the terrorist group Al Qaeda, began to
recruit terrorist from 21 nations around the world to help him attack America. (Jacobson: 36). He
sent a declaration in Arabic to a London newspaper that "called for the death of all Americans
anywhere on earth as a duty of all Muslims". This was a direct sign that he planned to attack our
country. In 1993 terrorist bombed a garage in New York City (Jacobson: 39). This was just the
beginning of terrorist attacks against the United States. In 1998 the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi was
bombed killing many innocent people (Jacobson: 46). That same year attempts to control Usama Bin
Laden failed. He said he would

Little Al Qaeda Vs The Bigu.s Essay
Little Al–Qaeda vs The Big U.S When we talk about the super power of the world, would you
imagine that there would be an enemy so small but so able to provoke the super power of the world
The United States. Al–Qaeda is an international terrorist network, which is considered the most
significant terrorist threat to the United States. Al–Qaeda is a prominent group among the hundreds
of terrorist organizations that despise The United States. Al–Qaeda was established around 1988 by
Osama bin Laden. This terrorist organization is comprised of thousands of fighters from different
countries all over the world. Osama bin Laden first formed this organization to take part in the
resistance to defeat the Soviet Union. At a time when the Soviet Union was invading Afghanistan.
An analysis of the terrorist group Al–Qaeda reveals that it is challenging for the United States to win
a war that is not physical in nature but primarily psychological. Terrorist groups tend to wage a war
that is physical in some aspects but the key to victory for a terrorist organization is to win through
psychological attacks and tactics. Al–Qaeda is an important terrorist group not only because they are
a well–known group that poses a significant threat to the United States and western interest, but for
the reason that it has survived and been in operation for over four decades.
When looking at a nation as powerful and massive as the United States, one can only wonder what
type of force would one need to take

Islamic Terrorism And The Threat Of Cultural Subversion
Radical Islamic terrorism and is one of the greatest threats faced by the western world today .From
threatening our life styles to killing our fellow citizens ,Islam underpins and erodes our laws and
institutions in the name of their stalling 6th century ideology and holy book. Angered by
transgressions long past and considering all foreigners and non believers infidels and non human,
Radical Islam unless stopped in its cultural subversion and terrorist actions will soon become to
much to be handled. In this paper I hope to convey my message through the topics of the myth of a
peaceful Islamic religion, the threat of cultural subversion, The failure of the western world, and

He did all of this simply because they refused to convert to his violent and evil faith and called it
just. Here is a excerpt from the biography of Muhammad ,which has been accepted world wide as
true but those who practice the faith. When the tribe of . . . Quraiza was ready to accept Sad's
judgment, Allah's Apostle sent for Sad who was near to him. Sad came, riding a donkey and when
he came near, Allah's Apostle said (to the Ansar) [or Helpers], "Stand up for your leader." Then Sad
came and sat beside Allah's Apostle who said to him. "These people are ready to accept your
judgment." Sad said, "I give the judgment that their warriors should be killed and their children and
women should be taken as prisoners." The Prophet then remarked, "O Sad! You have judged
amongst them with (or similar to) the judgment of the King Allah." Muhammad inspired his men to
make war in the name of Islam by looting , killing , beheadings, and forcing innocents into slavery.
And if the Quran is to be believed, this is the man all Muslims are supposed to emulate? Long after
Muhammad 's eventual death, Muslims have continued his jihad ( holy war ) for hundreds of
thousands of years. Only being checked by the ability of native non Muslims to protect themselves.
One example of this was the defeat of the Umayyad caliphate at the battle of Tours, which shattered
their power in Europe.

Radical Islamic Terrorism
Over the past decade plus snice the attacks of 9/11, the American people have become more aware
of radical Islamic terrorism and it has become a constant topic of debate and fear by the people. In
2011 as the ten year anniversary of 9/11 approached, then President Obama laid out the national
strategy for counterterrorism and eight overreaching goals. Two of the eight overarching goals was
to "deprive terrorist of their enabling means" and to "prevent terrorist development, acquisition, and
use of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)". (Forest & Howard, 2013, Pp. 796–798) In addition
to these goals, it is important to discuss the terrorist use of social media and radical propaganda for
recruitment purposes when detailing a plan to combat ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is estimated that ISIS daily income from oil sales is around $3 million dollars for an estimated
annual income of $1.3 and $2 billion, making it the world's best funded terrorist group. (Levitt,
2014) In addition to the sales of oil on the black market to fund their organization, ISIS has the
ability to rent house, tax the population, and charging for utilities like water and electricity. It is
estimated the ISIS brings in about $900 million a year from residents and businessmen in territories
under its control. (Engel, 2015). With the immense funding that ISIS has from illegal activities, oil
sales and taxations of people living in areas under their control, specific measures must be taken to
slow and eliminate their funding. Due to the income coming from black market oil sales, it is
imperative to target the middle men moving the oil, as well as target those who refine, transport and
assist the black market oil sales that contribute to the ISIS revenue. There also needs to be
collaboration with local governments to assist them in regaining control over areas where ISIS, or
other terrorist organization, have strong holds. These strong hold where the local government has no
control are the areas that ISIS and other terrorist organizations are able to exploit the natural
resources and populations for their gain. Additionally the American government needs to target ISIS

Terrorism And Islamic Terrorism
September 11th is a day that nobody will ever forget, it was such a terrible tragedy and we lost many
people because of it. This attack was made out of hatred and tremendously impacted the government
and citizens of the United States. This attack was rooted in a hatred that has existed for thousands of
years between Jews in Israel and its Islamic neighbors. Because of the United States support for
Israel and the Gulf Wars where the United States stopped Iraqi aggression, the United States has
become a target of Islamic terrorism. It was such a serious and harmful incident and it forever
changed American Society and by influencing the country to make new laws and as a result, its
citizens have become more aware of their surroundings. Islamic Extremism Islamic extremism has
been around for a while now and it's mainly just driven by an interpretation of Islam that believes in
Islamic law, it's a religious–political system (Understanding Islamist Extremism, n/d). For starters,
Islam is a religion and it began in Arabia, which is now commonly known as Saudi Arabia and is
where Muhammad was born and where eventually he died (Place of origin Islam, n/d). Extremism
means extreme political or religious views. An example of Violent Islamic extremism is, with the
tragic Paris attack on November 15th, 2015 (Norton, 2015). There was 130 innocent people who
were killed and 7 perpetrators, and that really impacted Paris. Why Did Terrorist Attack the United

Rhetorical Analysis Of Donald Trump 's Speech
Donald Trump recently gave a speech discussing rising Radical Islamic Terrorism, immigration
from the Middle East, and a need for a rise in national security while Manchester, New Hampshire
on June 13th 2016. He centers his whole speech around discussing how bad a President his
opponent, Hillary Clinton, would be in difficult times. Trump graduated from the Wharton School of
Finance in 1968 with a bachelor 's degree in economics, and has become a very successful
businessman. He's the Republican nominee for this upcoming presidential election, and is a very
controversial candidate and person. He has come under fire for many of his views that he discusses
in his June 13th speech. While Trump does make some agreeably points, he renders his speech
ineffective because of his heavy reliance on Clinton's opinion to form his own. If Trump were to
become President, his stance on important issues would need to be reached with careful
consideration, and not just based on doing the opposite of his opponents. Trump's speech was
written with the goal of discrediting Clinton.Trump discusses how he believes that the rise in terror
attacks on US soil is the direct result of the influx of immigrants from the Middle East. He also
believes that the rise in terrorism calls for a rise in national security and less people entering the
country. He claims that if he were president he 'd put a temporary ban on people from areas with

Terrorism : The 9 / 11
The 9/11 attacks became a black mark in history that has affected the lives of many and will
continue to do so for many generations to come. Terrorism took on a whole new meaning with the
actions of Osama bin Laden. The attacks made the United States more aware of its vulnerabilities
and reinforced the need for change in the security of the country to help protect our freedom. The
attacks on 9/11 by Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda group who was responsible for the
acts, was a major turning point in America. It heightened the awareness of these terrorist groups, led
to additional terrorist acts throughout the world, and changed the economic situation of our country
as we went to fight wars to stop this terrorism.
Terrorism is a significant and recurring situation that has changed the lives of people around the
world, overwhelming them with fear and uncertainty of their future. It has become part of our daily
lives today as we are still fighting wars to resolve many of the issues that began with the 9/11
attacks on the United States. Terrorism does not have a definitive definition but must meet certain
conditions for it to be considered terrorism. There has to be a reason for an act that is deemed
political, and it must affect the lives of innocent people, putting a sense of fear into them (Combs,
Slann, "Terrorism"). Not only may the reason behind an act be political, but it could also be seen as
religious as well (Sterba). Since the 9/11 attacks, terrorism

Post 9/11 Stereotypes
Islamic Stereotypes: Post–9/11 American Movies
Since 9/11 Islamophobia has grown in America and it is reinforced by movies coming out of
Hollywood, the stereotypes that are shown in movies are there before 9/11 but since then they have
only gotten worse and intensified. The Muslims in post–9/11 films are based on their ethnicity or
economic status more than on their religious beliefs. Muslims from all over the world have stayed
mixed with Arabs and associated with the same character types like the sheikhs, maidens, Egyptians,
and Palestinians. Similar to the early Americans calling Indians savages regardless of their tribal
differences. American movies have always been prejudiced toward minorities, but have gotten
better. Muslims, however ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

States; Donald Trump signed an executive order immediately suspending America's refugee
program, and barring entry from any people from the following seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya,
Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. This decision was immediately met with global outrage, with
many people and politicians alike lambasting President Trump, labeling his order as 'discriminatory'
and 'un–American'. Though it is easy to be consumed by the social dogma presented in today's
media, I think it is important for people to take a step back and view situations such as this with an

objection to this outright dismissal of President Trump's executive order; the name, of which states
that the travel ban and suspension of the refugee program is to prevent terrorist entry into the United
States. Since the beginning of the Syrian refugee crisis, there has been an evident correlation
between the admittance of Muslim refugees and the increase of Islamic terror attacks all throughout
Europe. For more than a decade the US has been fighting throughout; the Middle East trying to
eradicate Islamic terrorist organizations, so why on earth would we then permit the citizens of the
nation's we have been waging war with to become Americans? During World War Two did the US
allow Japanese immigrants or Nazi immigrants? Of course not, and what sense would it make to do

can have political relationships with the westerners but that is to use their help for their own good,
such as Saudi Arabia. They also base and enforce the law of the Qur'an on the people. On the
flipside, the Salafeyeen do not have the word politics in their dictionary and the way they
communicate is through severe violence even on their own people. For example their rule goes as
follows: thieves must have their hands cut off, a curser's tongue must be cut off, an adulterous must
be killed with the edge of the sword, and so on with all the sinners. Their judgments are pretty
extreme. They currently have a small group in Egypt. There is no research found about them yet,
however information has been spread through word of mouth and people's experiences in the recent
days in Egypt. The Salafeyeen have been around and they are very few still. It is not long until the

This post–modern event, so unprecedented not because of the amount of destruction, but because of
the unlikely U.S. target, needs a post–modern lens through which it can be viewed. With this in
mind I will discuss various aspects of the current crisis in light of scholarly methods of investigation
in the field of religion and myth.
Certain themes have emerged within the warring points of view as this drama unfolds. There is the
blurring of the distinction between Islam as a religion and the acts of terrorism that have occurred on
the political stage. It is being blurred in both directions. The terrorists are fusing the two realms
while the Americans and their allies are trying to make a rigid distinction between actions motivated
by hate and what they call envy of U.S. freedom versus Islam as a religion which they would like to
view as uncontaminated by cultural and political context. This theme lies within the domain of the
scholarly debates on "reductionism." Within this argument Mircea Eliade stands as the dominant
figure who makes the distinction between what he calls the sacred and the profane. He argues
against reductionism. He also states, with relevance to the current situation, that "the so–called
primitive peoples... are seeking to become active subjects of history instead of its passive objects, as

The Islamic State And Terrorism
Imagine waking up one morning, walking out of your house, and seeing men with rifles walking up
and down the streets of your neighborhood. The armed men directing traffic, checking businesses,
telling the women how to dress. It would not be a pleasant morning would it? This is what Syria and
Iraq have been experiencing with the Islamic State taking over the two countries. The armed men
telling people what to do, inspecting everything, and controlling all the movement is the least of
Syria and Iraq's problems. The Islamic state has committed various acts of violence in both
countries. The Islamic State has to be put to a stop if not by the countries surrounding it, than by the
United States before it causes more destruction in other places.

Pakistan's Heartland Under Threat By John Lancaster
The epicenter of Pakistani culture is in danger. Punjab is a region that spans from Pakistan to India,
is about the size of the U.S. state of Wyoming, contains over half of Pakistan's population, and is
home to an immense amount of Pakistani culture. One particular city in Punjab, Lahore, is described
as Pakistan's "cultural capital." Islamic extremists known as the Taliban are now trying to dismantle
the so–called "cultural capital" in hopes of assuming control of the country. Over the past couple of

Kerry And Rubio's Arguments
In examining Islamic terrorism, we are presented with two very different viewpoints from
politicians. On the one side, we have John Kerry, who contends that terrorism is the result of
barbarism...says "this is a battle between civilization itself and barbarism" (Kerry, 2015), and
describes religious extremists as "psychopathic monsters". When we reduce the actions of these
people to barbarism and separate their brand of violence from our, as Mary Moran puts it, "[...] it
provides a satisfying depiction of the fundamental difference between the deployment of U.S.
military might and the "senseless violence" perpetrated by others" (Moran, 200; p. 251). She is

In the vast majority of cases, they are not "bolts from the blue"..." (Hoffman and Smith, 2001; p. 3).
While Marco Rubio might have us believe that Islamic extremism is, in fact, a "bolt from the blue"
with no prior cause or provocation, that would be false. After the Iraq war and during the American
occupation was a time when many of today's terrorists were coming of age. "An Islamic State
fighter's biggest resentment was the lack of an adolescence." says Lydia Wilson, reporting for the
online publication, The Nation. For many young men, war took that away from them, as well as
taking away adult male role models, many of whom were killed in the conflict. According to one
prisoner she interviewed, "The Americans came. They took away Saddam, but they also took away
our security. I didn't like Saddam, we were starving then, but at least we didn't have war. When you
came here, the civil war started." (Wilson, 2015). Neither Rubio nor Kerry had it quite right. Modern
terrorism, on the level of its lowest soldiers, is not fueled by either a clash of cultures or barbarism.

Terrorism is a form of violence that is difficult to define. The State Department defines terrorism as
"premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by
sub–national groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience."
Terrorism is not a random, undirected, purposeless act of violence, it has definite goals and violence
is the medium of attaining those goals. The most well–known, recent instance of terrorism were the
attacks made on the World Trade Center on September 11th , but terrorism goes back to first–
century Palestine, where Jewish Zealots would publicly slit the throats of Romans and their

The group behind the attacks, Al–Qaeda, is an Afghanistan based group led by Osama Bin–Laden.
Al–Qaeda seeks to rid Muslim countries of what it sees as the profane influence of the West and
replace their governments with fundamentalist Islamic regimes.
What is the root cause of terrorism and what can be done about it? While no–one knows for sure,
there has been a lot of speculation as to these issues especially after 9/11. There are several key
factors that seam to be prominent. The key reasons for the most recent of the attacks, especially
9/11, are due to deep seated hatred for American policies and actions around the world. Strong anti–
American undercurrents breed tolerance for extremist terror networks, like those of Osama bin
Laden in many Islamic countries. Although most Americans would not agree, many foreign
countries view America as very arrogant, and say we had it coming on 9/11. However, much of
terrorism is aimed at the western world, not only the United States. Much of these anti–western
sentiments can be traced to the Palestinian–Israeli conflict. In that area of the world, terrorism is not
a seldom occurrence, but rather a near daily occurrence where casualties are normal. Both countries
are fighting a bloody war over religious turf, with no peace or solution in sight. The Islamic faction
feels suppressed by the

Origin Of Modern Muslim Terrorism
In the aftermath of the September 11th 2001 suicide attacks orchestrated by al–Qaeda, the 9/11
Commission Report "chose to... adopt a neo–Orientalist approach by locating Ibn Taymiyya as the
root cause of the al–Qaeda phenomenon" (Lambert, 2011: 172). With al–Qaeda claiming
responsibility for the 9/11 attacks, this terrorist organisation shall be the focus of the essay to
ascertain whether or not the 9/11 Commission's suggestion is supported. Section one shall explore
Ibn Taymiyya's teachings and the context in which he was writing in the 13th Century. Section two
shall analyse arguments that support the 9/11 Commission. Following this, sections three, four and
five shall examine sources that challenge the notion that Ibn Taymiyya's teachings are the root of
modern Muslim terrorism, due to contradictions with al–Qaeda's ideology. Throughout, the essay
holds that the origin of modern Muslim terrorism does not stem from Ibn Taymiyya's teachings. The
basis for this position is that the organisation responsible for the 9/11 attacks, al–Qaeda, has used his
writings on the Mongol invasions to justify jihad against the threat of Westernisation despite al–
Qaeda and Ibn Taymiyya representing "two forms of religious consciousness" (Heck, 2004: 117).
Section one shall examine the writings of Ibn Taymiyya, a thirteenth–century scholar "who had
sought to impose a literal interpretation of the Quran" (Wright, 2007: 183), and the significance of
the context in which he wrote. His

Batman: the Dark Knight Rhetorical Analysis
Justice vs. Terrorism
"The Dark Knight," a movie directed and produced by Christopher Nolan, depicts the way a system
of justice deals with terrorism. If an archetype is defined as a symbol that exists instinctively in the
collective consciousness of the human race, the terrorism in Batman The Dark Knight represents an
archetype through the violence, murder of the innocent, mayhem and mass destruction.
Governments often lay down laws and procedures for a country to function, and to avoid anarchy.
The laws promote wellness, equality, and justice, but sometimes even these entities of justice are
forced to break the law for a greater good. In contemporary U.S. history, President Barack Obama,

Contemporarily the termination of Osama bin Laden's reign of terror at the top al Qaeda is one of
these actions. The United States sent a handpicked group of soldiers, the navy SEALs and the U.S.

country. The attack happened at night, and it was an oversea operation that lasted minutes in which a
three floor house was raided and bin Laden was killed. If killing is "bad" and it is against the law,
then why was bin Laden killed? Certainly this was the necessary action that had to be taken. "The
ends justify the means," it would be for the greater good (Prince Machiavelli). This situation is an
innuendo to a part in the movie in which Lau, the accountant for the mob groups in Gotham, flees to
Hong Kong in order to escape the jurisdiction of the Gotham's justice system.
Lau was right in his move, he was out of Gotham city officials' jurisdiction, however he forgot about
Batman. In the movie, Lau is talking over the phone up high in his hundred story building when the

The Tensions Between Terrorism And Islamic Terrorism
It is no secret that religious backgrounds play a significant role in politics. The idea of a secular
government is a common thought, but the reality is that each country is based on religious beliefs–
morals. The United States of America and Europe, though they claim to be secular, clearly derive
their laws and ideals from that of Christianity. Islamic countries are controlled primarily by Sharia
Law, which is obviously derived from Islam. The Jewish nation has strived for an extremely long
time to form their own state in order to practice their own beliefs on their own turf with their own
politics. Religions long for politics to reflect them, and politics long for religious ideals to follow,
whether they wish to admit it or not. Religion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second topic that fits under politics and religion is that of the recent European immigration
crisis. After a surge in Islamic immigration into Germany, a great number of natives are migrating
out. Since Chancellor Angela Merkel allowed an upwards of one million Muslim migrants into
Germany, migrant crime has soared. This has led to a great deal of unrest among native Germans.
According to Kern, "Mass migration is also accelerating the Islamization of Germany, [and] many
Germans appear to be losing hope about the future direction of their country." This loss of hope is
quite reasonable as the birth rates among Germans are going down dramatically, and the Islamic
migration is increasing the same. If this pattern continues, the face of Germany could forever
change. Since the opened border mass migration policy, Islamic terror has swept over the land.
There have been police officers stabbed in the neck, bombings, an axe–wielding rampage, a truck
running people over, and more–all in the name of, or suspected to be in the name of, Allah Germany
has recognized the problem, and, in an effort to combat it, has implemented a new integration law.
One of the main issues, and the one that fits in our topic, with having an opened border mass
migration policy is that Europe is a secular continent, and the immigrants

Religious Terrorism
Terrorism is defined as the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political
purposes. In other words terrorism is not a good thing. There are numerous types of terrorisms.
Some are terrorists for political reasons, some are terrorists for religious reasons, and some are
terrorists simply because they are out of their mind. Religious terrorism is one of the fastest growing
types of terrorisms today. According to a survey done by the Atlantic, seventy–five percent of
Americans think that religious terrorism is a growing, major threat to modern society (Merritt).
Terrorist acts based off religion are usually done by individuals labeled as "Religious Extremists."
Since there are no official definition for a religious extremist, one might say that a religious
extremist is someone who takes the teachings of their religion way too far.
What does an individual imagine when they hear the word "terrorist?" Stereotypically, one would
picture a male with a darker complexion, a turban or head wrap on their head, and a lethal weapon.
The weapon could range from a simple knife to a fully–locked and loaded AK–47. Why do people
picture this figure? Well, people from all over the world can probably attribute the stereotypical
terrorist image to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. It also does not help that today's social

A critical book report on Lawrence Wright's The Looming Tower. Introduction
The September 11th terrorist hijackings and attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon
caught the United States largely by surprise. Once the dust had settled, and the shock and horror of
such an unprecedented event had waned, the American public began to ask questions. Names such
as Osama bin Laden, countries such as Afghanistan, and organizations such as Al–Qaeda were
brought into the public's consciousness for the first time. Through newspapers, talkback radio and
television programs the nation asked ‘why do they hate us so much?' Others, such as those in the
government and public service, asked ‘what could we have done to have prevented this?' It is ...

Wright is unmatched in his intimate insights into the lives of the key players, from bin Laden's
relationships with his wives, to O'Neal's turbulent personal life. It is with this immense detail, that
the author persuasively argues his two main contentions.
Why did Al–Qaeda attack the United States?
Wright offers a rather complex answer to the burning question of why such a horrific terrorist attack
occurred. He seems to draw certain elements from Samuel Huntington's influential ‘Clash of
Civilizations' thesis. Huntington contends that the cultural distinctions between people lie at the root
of most conflict in the post–cold war world. Therefore, the West is despised by the Islamic world,
not because of ideological, political or economic factors, but for cultural reasons. Wright also draws
heavily from Barber's ‘Jihad vs. Mcworld' theory, which argues that the widespread Western belief
in the universality of its own values and political system, combined with the unstoppable force of
globalization, antagonizes the Islamic civilization and spawns tribal forces of resistance, spurred on
by their own fierce religious convictions.
Wright illustrates the ‘Civilization Clash' through the experiences of Sayyid Qutb. He portrays
Qutb as being overwhelmed by the materialism

Introduction What is known today as modern–day Turkey, was once one of the most powerful
empires in the world. They referred to this imperial state as the Ottoman Empire. The Purpose of the
empire was to expand their territory, and spread their Islamic teachings. With this they had created a
thirteenth century empire led by Osman, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. Osman surrounded
himself with strong solders who specialized in ambushes, and hit and run tactics, they referred to
these highly trained soldiers as "Janissaries". The empire they built was the largest and most

Islamic Terrorism And Islamic Finance Essay
With its assets estimated to total nearly $1 trillion globally, Islamic finance remains tiny compared
to conventional finance with its tens of trillions of dollars. The market in Islamic bonds, or sukuk, is
believed to total about $50 billion, roughly 1 percent of global bond issuance. In view of the
financial crises which have been affecting the whole world, a solution in the name of Islamic finance
could be introduced. As the global economic slowdown becomes more severe and protracted, many
countries will be seeking alternatives, and Islamic finance can seize these new opportunities by
offering standardized Islamic finance products with prudent regulations and supervisory
arrangements. The beauty of the Islamic finance lies in its balanced and integrated approach towards
a development policy that is urgently called for in the current crisis, caused by the awesome
importance attached to the promotion of the financial sector alone. Islamic Finance is a viable
alternative to conventional finance. What is Islamic Finance? Islamic finance is any finance that is
compliant with the principles of Islamic law Shari'ahs. In terms of finance, Shari'ah explains in
detail the ethical concepts of money and capital, the relationship between risk and profit and the
social responsibilities of financial institutions. A distinctive feature of Islamic finance is that it does
not allow the creation of debt through the direct lending and borrowing of money or other financial
assets. The debts

Abstract
It has been the case that over the duration that mankind has graced the planet there has been group's
hell bent on enacting their beliefs and values upon the rest of the world. As time has passed there
have been many times that these groups have changed the face of the planet permanently. You can

spread their ideology. Now, taking into consideration that fundamentalism and militant groups are

Goals
The primary aim of the group is to establish an Islamic state in Egypt with small secular Arab
governments. The remarkable feature of Egyptian Islamic Jihad as I have learned is a powerful force
challenging the cohesion of states. As a result, Egyptian Islamic Jihad is responsible for a variety of
national and international tensions, such as the revival of communal tension in the Middle East. The
group of radical Egyptian Islamist thinkers took hold of a serious nationalist conception of jihad and
its role in establishing a truly Islamic government (Knapp, 2003). According to its own self
proclaimed dogma, Egyptian Islamic Jihad is prepared to oppose their understanding of tradition to
that of their community's leaders.
Ideology
Ideology of the group is vividly expressed in a pamphlet they circulated years ago "The Neglected
Duty" which has been lost in time. The pamphlet makes the argument that jihad, as armed action is
the heart of Islam, and neglect of this type of action by any Muslim has caused the current depressed
condition of Islam in the world, of course without taking into consideration the serious shortcomings
of the culture itself. (Knapp, 2003) This violence serves the interests of political and economic
profiteers; it creates its own

Essay On Mob Mentality
Politics, economics, ecological threats. All of these are large problems in today's society, but are
addressed and thought about. There is a problem that is ignored though, and continues to grow
worse. The rising effect of mob mentality on humans way of thinking and actions, and the loss of
justice it causes. The typical mob mentality may seem a thing of the past to most, but it is still here
and still having a horrendous effect on humanity. One of the most famous incidences of justice being
lost via mob mentality is the huge amount of lynchings in 1900's US. Huge crowds would converge
on a small amount of people, and torture them for hours before killing them; No trial, no jury, no fair
chance "..until a mob––estimated at 5,000 to 10,000–– marched down Superior Street to the police
station" ("Duluth's Shameful" n.pag). This was seen as perfectly normal, and often postcards of the
dead body would be used as trading cards. Most people would not torture and kill a man on their
own, simply because the thought ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the connected society we have today, nations can develop the mentality now as well. The fear
of Islamic terrorism has led to the fear and hatred of Islam itself. Instead of looking at an act of
violence and finding the motive was Islamic Extremism, they look at the Islamic and prepare for
extremism "more than 160 Muslim–American terrorist suspects and perpetrators in the decade since

labeled, very similar to the way Jews had to be labeled in Germany. There are a lot of similarities
between the road to the holocaust and modern day Islamophobia. One should not be condemned and
the other accepted. Because one is an idea spreading today, and because of the internet, the typical
mob mentality takes hold. It is not right that a girl wearing a Hijab is looked at warily and threatened

Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden
Osama bin Laden founded al–Qaeda in 1988 with the goal to rid Muslims countries of western
influences and replace their governments with Islamic regimes. Born in an extraordinarily wealthy
family, Osama bin Laden used his family's money to found the terroristic organization. Abdullah
Yusus Azzam was an influential Palestinian Sunni Islamic scholar who mentored bin Laden and
persuaded him to come to Afghanistan. The main goals of al–Qaeda are to: spread Islam through the
world with or without the consent of the occupants, destroy Israel and it's affiliates, terrorize the
United States of America, financially bleed the United States, and fight to defend the rights of
Muslims. The organization's numerous attacks against the United States, and all of humanity (except
the Muslims) have changed the world's perception of terrorism. There are numerous religious
affiliates of al–Qaeda, some of which include, Sunni Islamism, Takfirism, and Qutbism. There are
very few supporters of al–Qaeda's beliefs and actions. Osama bin Laden issued a fatwa, a ruling
point of Islamic law given by a recognized authority, which eventually amounted to a public
declaration of war against the United States and its allies. There is a tremendous amount of
confusion about the connections between the Taliban and al–Qaeda. Although the two have ties,
they are completely separate and distinct groups who have different goals. Starting in the late 1980s,
an international terrorist network, al Qaeda, changed the

The Terror Of Osama Bin Laden
"A declaration of Jihad," on August 23, 1996 deals with Osama bin Laden order to sanction a
defensive war (jihad) after he gained refuge in Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden is a well–known
terrorist and is the leader and founder of al–Qaeda. In 1979, the origins of al–Qaeda can be traced
back to this year because that is when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. Originally, Osama bin
Laden used al–Qaeda as a way to enlist Muslim into the resistance. After, the Soviets left not shortly
after the United States came and establish military bases in the homeland of bin Laden in conjecture

United States). He elaborates by recounting the amount of Muslim blood has spilled across the
Middle East and Asia because of their enemies. Bin Laden progresses by saying the reason of the
meeting is to find a plan to rectify what has happened to the Islamic world, particularly in Saudi

Islamic Terrorism And Religious Terrorism
Religious terrorism is regularly portrayed as demonstrations of unreasonable, silly and
indiscriminate violence, along these lines offering few, if any what really spur religious terrorism
measures. This presumption about religious terrorism comes from different nations, groups and
individual's. Unbalanced regard for prophetically catastrophic terrorism, and an absence of
qualification between religious terrorism and its mainstream partner. This article, in this manner,
expects to do four things: characterize and separate religiously inspired terrorism, confidence, and
activism along the lines of faith and violence. Furthermore, prescribe a scope of religion,
confidence, and terrorism systems in view of these perceptions. Keywords: Religion, faith,
terrorism, violence
Is faith motivated activism a constructive force for change?
Yes, I most certainly trust so, faith itself is sufficient to persuade a productive power for change for
the great. Be that as it may, having faith alone is insufficient, faith must be joined by work keeping
in mind the end goal to be finished, faith without the work is dead. One must begin the venture and
after that believe in faith to bring it through. The scriptural meaning of faith from the book of
Hebrews11:1, Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Religious terrorism is a sort of political viciousness inspired by a flat out conviction that an
extraordinary force has endorsed and charged terrorist violence

Suicide Terrorism And Islamic Fundamentalism
Dying To Win, Robert A. Pape challenges the views about why suicide terrorists do what they do
and to whom. Pape is trying to convey that "suicide terrorism is rising around the world" (Pape pg.
6). Since many terrorist attacks have been perpetrated by Muslim terrorist motivated by religious
beliefs, it makes people think that Islamic fundamentalism is the central cause. The connection
between suicide terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism is incorrect, and encourage foreign countries
to harm many Muslims people that are harmless. The author has assembled a database that accounts
"every suicide bombing and attack around the globe from
1980 through 2003" (Pape pg. 7). There were 315 of terrorist suicide attacks at all. Pape believes
that the data proves that there is little connection between suicide terrorism and Islamic
fundamentalism. The main agitator of suicide attacks is "the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, a
Marxist–Leninist group whose members are from Hindu families but who are adamantly opposed to
religion" (Pape pg. 9). The Tamil Tigers committed 76 of the 315 suicide attacks. The author clearly
and convincingly gets his message across by supporting his ideas using a database of the suicide
attacks. The database helps the reader knows what all terrorist attacks have in common.
All suicide attacks have in common that "terrorist want to force modern democracies to withdraw
military forces from territory that the terrorists consider to be their homeland" (Pape pg. 9).

There are many good Muslims in the U.S. and around the world. But unfortunately the root of
Islamic terrorism is Islam. The root comes from a fundamental ideology within Islam that all
infidels (non–Muslims) must convert or die by the sword. Radical Islam and Islamic terrorism did
not begin with the attacks on September 11, 2001, or the U.S. led invasion of Iraq in 2003. The
fundamental ideology of radical Islam has existed since the creation of Islam in 622 A.D. Until that
part of Islam dies, Islamic terrorism will never cease to exist.
The first step in a new policy is that the U.S. must acknowledge it is at war with radical Islam.
Radical Islam declared war on the U.S., and much of the west, when they flew the first plane into
the World Trade Center towers; followed by flying the plane into the Pentagon. By declaring war on
radical Islam, the U.S. has defined specifically who the enemy is and can build a strategy to defeat
that enemy. Radical Islam sounds like a generalized term, but it is not. It is comprised of Islamic
terrorists groups around the world, which currently includes the Islamic State, or

frequency of all of the earthquakes, the natural disasters, and the occurrence of worldwide unrest
that we must pay attention to, in order to better understand the travail of a changing world, and what
that means to us right now, and in very real time. Jesus said, "All these things must come to pass,

God. The Day of the Lord will be a period of transition from man 's rule to God 's rule, and just as

of great fatigue. The Earth is getting tired and weary from the process of laboring to birth a new

16:21 NASB. The Earth will forget its pain and sorrow, and all things will be restored and made new
as seen in Revelation 21:1.
In Ecclesiastes 8:7, King Solomon points out that man is greatly troubled by ignorance of the future.
There is no reason for any of us to be ignorant of the future. We have the Bible! It is our immediate
source to information regarding the future. It is also the source by which those who believe in the
Holy Word of God, watch and carry heavy hearts for those who choose to ignore it. The apostle Paul
writes, "For I would not, brethren, that you should be

Islamic Terrorism And Islamic Extremist Violence

  • 1. Islamic Terrorism And Islamic Extremist Violence On the 13th of November 2015, a terrorist attack was carried out in the city of Paris killing 130 civilians (BBC src. A 2015). This attack surfaced many underlying fears of increased immigration from Islamic countries such as Syria. France and the Netherlands, along with other Western European powers, are becoming increasingly wary of opening their borders to the Syrian refugees out of fear of Islamic extremism―and with good reason. Previous to the Paris Attacks― in January of this year―France witnessed another terrorist attack at the headquarter of a satirical magazine: Charlie Hebdo (BBC src. B 2015). The Netherlands has also fallen prey to Islamic extremist violence in the case of the public murder of Theo Van Gogh, a controversial film ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A and B). The Netherlands, the most progressive of the two, was the first nation in the world to legalize gay marriage (Pew Research 2015). Also in both governments, the executive branch is split into the head of state and the head of government. The Netherland's government varies in that it takes the form of a constitutional monarchy. In the legislative branch, both countries take the shape of a traditional parliament, functioning fundamentally parallel (CIA src. A and B 2015). Both countries represent a multiparty system containing coalitions of center–right and center–left parties. A significant anomaly present in both countries is the rise of right–wing parties: Front National (France), and the Party for Freedom (the Netherlands) under the political leadership of Marine Le Pen in France and Geert Wilders in the Netherlands. These right–wing parties promote anti–islamic platforms and support the reduction of immigration in efforts to preserve their national identity. In the most recent regional elections in France, the National Front lead in six of the thirteen regions winning "27.73% of the vote in the first round, followed by Mr Sarkozy 's Republicans on 26.65%, and President Francois Hollande 's Socialists with 23.12%" (BBC src. • 3. Essay about Islam has Been Hijacked by Terrorism In the wake of September 11, leading Muslims in America and other Western countries rushed to condemn the killings. Yet they were slower to condemn the likely killers. "They, of course, condemn the destruction that happened on September 11," says Daniel Pipes, the director of the Middle East Forum, a think tank in Philadelphia. "The leading organizations have never, however, condemned the Taliban, Osama bin Laden, militant Islam." American Islamic leaders reply to such charges with indignation. They protest that it is unfair, even bigoted, to demand that they disassociate themselves from people with whom they have never been associated. "What we've found is that other religions don't have to defend their faith when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the 1950s, loyal American leftists resented and resisted demands that they specifically denounce Communism or be presumed fellow travelers. More recently, mainstream African– Americans likewise protested demands that they disassociate themselves from Louis Farrakhan or other controversial figures, with whom they have nothing in common apart from skin color. In 1994, peaceable Jews everywhere were swift to condemn the massacre of 29 praying Palestinians by an Israeli settler named Baruch Goldstein; but they were equally swift to deny, rightly, that Goldstein's demented act had anything to do with Judaism or with themselves. The false–accountability smear is the oldest trick in the book, and anyone who has been on the receiving end knows how effective it is. Even to assert that you should not have to defend yourself sounds defensive. All sympathy, then, to Muslim leaders in America and other Western countries who protest being held accountable for what they do not say about events they had nothing to do with. But in this particular case, they are wrong. On September 11, history saddled them with a special obligation to speak out in specific and unequivocal terms against terror in any and all its guises, not only for the ... • 5. The Conflict Of Terrorism During The 9 / 11 Question Two At the end of chapter 1 the commission states: "the conflict did not begin on 9/11". The 9/11 report gives several examples of how the conflict of terrorism began many years before that tragic day. The Pentagon became worried about the external threat of terrorism as a result of hostages being taken as early as the 1970's.There were many events looking back that gave America clues that an attack was planned. Hopefully looking at these events will help America plan to prevent future attacks of this kind. In 1990 external threats to our country were identified. However, we were unprepared to deal with these threats effectively (Jacobson: 18). The ten year conflict in Afghanistan that began in 1979 made many Islamic extremists very mad and wanting revenge on the United States (Jacobson: 31). Usama Bin Laden, the leader of the terrorist group Al Qaeda, began to recruit terrorist from 21 nations around the world to help him attack America. (Jacobson: 36). He sent a declaration in Arabic to a London newspaper that "called for the death of all Americans anywhere on earth as a duty of all Muslims". This was a direct sign that he planned to attack our country. In 1993 terrorist bombed a garage in New York City (Jacobson: 39). This was just the beginning of terrorist attacks against the United States. In 1998 the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi was bombed killing many innocent people (Jacobson: 46). That same year attempts to control Usama Bin Laden failed. He said he would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Little Al Qaeda Vs The Bigu.s Essay Little Al–Qaeda vs The Big U.S When we talk about the super power of the world, would you imagine that there would be an enemy so small but so able to provoke the super power of the world The United States. Al–Qaeda is an international terrorist network, which is considered the most significant terrorist threat to the United States. Al–Qaeda is a prominent group among the hundreds of terrorist organizations that despise The United States. Al–Qaeda was established around 1988 by Osama bin Laden. This terrorist organization is comprised of thousands of fighters from different countries all over the world. Osama bin Laden first formed this organization to take part in the resistance to defeat the Soviet Union. At a time when the Soviet Union was invading Afghanistan. An analysis of the terrorist group Al–Qaeda reveals that it is challenging for the United States to win a war that is not physical in nature but primarily psychological. Terrorist groups tend to wage a war that is physical in some aspects but the key to victory for a terrorist organization is to win through psychological attacks and tactics. Al–Qaeda is an important terrorist group not only because they are a well–known group that poses a significant threat to the United States and western interest, but for the reason that it has survived and been in operation for over four decades. When looking at a nation as powerful and massive as the United States, one can only wonder what type of force would one need to take ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Islamic Terrorism And The Threat Of Cultural Subversion Radical Islamic terrorism and is one of the greatest threats faced by the western world today .From threatening our life styles to killing our fellow citizens ,Islam underpins and erodes our laws and institutions in the name of their stalling 6th century ideology and holy book. Here is a excerpt from the biography of Muhammad ,which has been accepted world wide as true but those who practice the faith. When the tribe of . . . Quraiza was ready to accept Sad's judgment, Allah's Apostle sent for Sad who was near to him. Sad came, riding a donkey and when he came near, Allah's Apostle said (to the Ansar) [or Helpers], "Stand up for your leader." Then Sad came and sat beside Allah's Apostle who said to him. "These people are ready to accept your judgment." Sad said, "I give the judgment that their warriors should be killed and their children and women should be taken as prisoners." The Prophet then remarked, "O Sad! You have judged amongst them with (or similar to) the judgment of the King Allah." Muhammad inspired his men to make war in the name of Islam by looting , killing , beheadings, and forcing innocents into slavery. And if the Quran is to be believed, this is the man all Muslims are supposed to emulate? Long after Muhammad 's eventual death, Muslims have continued his jihad ( holy war ) for hundreds of thousands of years. Only being checked by the ability of native non Muslims to protect themselves. • 11. Radical Islamic Terrorism Over the past decade plus snice the attacks of 9/11, the American people have become more aware of radical Islamic terrorism and it has become a constant topic of debate and fear by the people. In 2011 as the ten year anniversary of 9/11 approached, then President Obama laid out the national strategy for counterterrorism and eight overreaching goals. Two of the eight overarching goals was to "deprive terrorist of their enabling means" and to "prevent terrorist development, acquisition, and use of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)". It is estimated that ISIS daily income from oil sales is around $3 million dollars for an estimated annual income of $1.3 and $2 billion, making it the world's best funded terrorist group. (Levitt, 2014) In addition to the sales of oil on the black market to fund their organization, ISIS has the ability to rent house, tax the population, and charging for utilities like water and electricity. It is estimated the ISIS brings in about $900 million a year from residents and businessmen in territories under its control. (Engel, 2015). With the immense funding that ISIS has from illegal activities, oil sales and taxations of people living in areas under their control, specific measures must be taken to slow and eliminate their funding. Due to the income coming from black market oil sales, it is imperative to target the middle men moving the oil, as well as target those who refine, transport and assist the black market oil sales that contribute to the ISIS revenue. There also needs to be collaboration with local governments to assist them in regaining control over areas where ISIS, or other terrorist organization, have strong holds. These strong hold where the local government has no control are the areas that ISIS and other terrorist organizations are able to exploit the natural resources and populations for their gain. • 13. Terrorism And Islamic Terrorism September 11th is a day that nobody will ever forget, it was such a terrible tragedy and we lost many people because of it. This attack was made out of hatred and tremendously impacted the government and citizens of the United States. This attack was rooted in a hatred that has existed for thousands of years between Jews in Israel and its Islamic neighbors. Because of the United States support for Israel and the Gulf Wars where the United States stopped Iraqi aggression, the United States has become a target of Islamic terrorism. It was such a serious and harmful incident and it forever changed American Society and by influencing the country to make new laws and as a result, its citizens have become more aware of their surroundings. Islamic Extremism Islamic extremism has been around for a while now and it's mainly just driven by an interpretation of Islam that believes in Islamic law, it's a religious–political system (Understanding Islamist Extremism, n/d). For starters, Islam is a religion and it began in Arabia, which is now commonly known as Saudi Arabia and is where Muhammad was born and where eventually he died (Place of origin Islam, n/d). Extremism means extreme political or religious views. An example of Violent Islamic extremism is, with the tragic Paris attack on November 15th, 2015 (Norton, 2015). • 15. Rhetorical Analysis Of Donald Trump 's Speech Donald Trump recently gave a speech discussing rising Radical Islamic Terrorism, immigration from the Middle East, and a need for a rise in national security while Manchester, New Hampshire on June 13th 2016. He centers his whole speech around discussing how bad a President his opponent, Hillary Clinton, would be in difficult times. Trump graduated from the Wharton School of Finance in 1968 with a bachelor 's degree in economics, and has become a very successful businessman. He's the Republican nominee for this upcoming presidential election, and is a very controversial candidate and person. He has come under fire for many of his views that he discusses in his June 13th speech. While Trump does make some agreeably points, he renders his speech ineffective because of his heavy reliance on Clinton's opinion to form his own. If Trump were to become President, his stance on important issues would need to be reached with careful consideration, and not just based on doing the opposite of his opponents. Trump's speech was written with the goal of discrediting Clinton.Trump discusses how he believes that the rise in terror attacks on US soil is the direct result of the influx of immigrants from the Middle East. He also believes that the rise in terrorism calls for a rise in national security and less people entering the country. • 19. Terrorism : The 9 / 11 The 9/11 attacks became a black mark in history that has affected the lives of many and will continue to do so for many generations to come. Terrorism took on a whole new meaning with the actions of Osama bin Laden. The attacks made the United States more aware of its vulnerabilities and reinforced the need for change in the security of the country to help protect our freedom. The attacks on 9/11 by Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda group who was responsible for the acts, was a major turning point in America. It heightened the awareness of these terrorist groups, led to additional terrorist acts throughout the world, and changed the economic situation of our country as we went to fight wars to stop this terrorism. Terrorism is a significant and recurring situation that has changed the lives of people around the world, overwhelming them with fear and uncertainty of their future. It has become part of our daily lives today as we are still fighting wars to resolve many of the issues that began with the 9/11 attacks on the United States. Terrorism does not have a definitive definition but must meet certain conditions for it to be considered terrorism. There has to be a reason for an act that is deemed political, and it must affect the lives of innocent people, putting a sense of fear into them (Combs, Slann, "Terrorism"). Not only may the reason behind an act be political, but it could also be seen as religious as well (Sterba). Since the 9/11 attacks, terrorism ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Post 9/11 Stereotypes Islamic Stereotypes: Post–9/11 American Movies Since 9/11 Islamophobia has grown in America and it is reinforced by movies coming out of Hollywood, the stereotypes that are shown in movies are there before 9/11 but since then they have only gotten worse and intensified. The Muslims in post–9/11 films are based on their ethnicity or economic status more than on their religious beliefs. Muslims from all over the world have stayed mixed with Arabs and associated with the same character types like the sheikhs, maidens, Egyptians, and Palestinians. The Politics Of The United States On January 27th 2017, exactly one week after being inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States; Donald Trump signed an executive order immediately suspending America's refugee program, and barring entry from any people from the following seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. This decision was immediately met with global outrage, with many people and politicians alike lambasting President Trump, labeling his order as 'discriminatory' and 'un–American'. I take objection to this outright dismissal of President Trump's executive order; the name, of which states that the travel ban and suspension of the refugee program is to prevent terrorist entry into the United States. Since the beginning of the Syrian refugee crisis, there has been an evident correlation between the admittance of Muslim refugees and the increase of Islamic terror attacks all throughout Europe. For more than a decade the US has been fighting throughout; the Middle East trying to eradicate Islamic terrorist organizations, so why on earth would we then permit the citizens of the nation's we have been waging war with to become Americans? During World War Two did the US allow Japanese immigrants or Nazi immigrants? Of course not, and what sense would it make to do so? The situation is no different now than it was 70 years ago, and yet; now, the US is expected to allow these refugees with open arms. Never mind the increased crime and terror in nations that allowed refugees across Europe, and the fact that 5 of the wealthiest Muslim nations (Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia) will not allow refugees in, arguing that doing so would open ... People who are literally obedient to the Islamic faith are called Islamic Extremists. The first step was to set up an organized program of conscription. Together with Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood leader Abdellah Azzam, he organized a recruiting office––Maktab al–Khidamat (MAK–Services Office). MAK advertised all over the Arab world for young Muslims to come fight in Afghanistan and set up branch recruiting offices all over the world, including in the U.S. and Europe. This post–modern event, so unprecedented not because of the amount of destruction, but because of the unlikely U.S. target, needs a post–modern lens through which it can be viewed. With this in mind I will discuss various aspects of the current crisis in light of scholarly methods of investigation in the field of religion and myth. Certain themes have emerged within the warring points of view as this drama unfolds. There is the blurring of the distinction between Islam as a religion and the acts of terrorism that have occurred on the political stage. It is being blurred in both directions. The terrorists are fusing the two realms while the Americans and their allies are trying to make a rigid distinction between actions motivated by hate and what they call envy of U.S. freedom versus Islam as a religion which they would like to view as uncontaminated by cultural and political context. This theme lies within the domain of the scholarly debates on "reductionism." Within this argument Mircea Eliade stands as the dominant figure who makes the distinction between what he calls the sacred and the profane. He argues against reductionism. He also states, with relevance to the current situation, that "the so–called primitive peoples... are seeking to become active subjects of history instead of its passive objects, as they ... After the Iraq war and during the American occupation was a time when many of today's terrorists were coming of age. What is the root cause of terrorism and what can be done about it? While no–one knows for sure, there has been a lot of speculation as to these issues especially after 9/11. There are several key factors that seam to be prominent. The key reasons for the most recent of the attacks, especially 9/11, are due to deep seated hatred for American policies and actions around the world. Strong anti– American undercurrents breed tolerance for extremist terror networks, like those of Osama bin Laden in many Islamic countries. Although most Americans would not agree, many foreign countries view America as very arrogant, and say we had it coming on 9/11. However, much of terrorism is aimed at the western world, not only the United States. Much of these anti–western sentiments can be traced to the Palestinian–Israeli conflict. Following this, sections three, four and five shall examine sources that challenge the notion that Ibn Taymiyya's teachings are the root of modern Muslim terrorism, due to contradictions with al–Qaeda's ideology. Throughout, the essay holds that the origin of modern Muslim terrorism does not stem from Ibn Taymiyya's teachings. The basis for this position is that the organisation responsible for the 9/11 attacks, al–Qaeda, has used his writings on the Mongol invasions to justify jihad against the threat of Westernisation despite al– Qaeda and Ibn Taymiyya representing "two forms of religious consciousness" (Heck, 2004: 117). The idea of a secular government is a common thought, but the reality is that each country is based on religious beliefs– morals. The United States of America and Europe, though they claim to be secular, clearly derive their laws and ideals from that of Christianity. Islamic countries are controlled primarily by Sharia Law, which is obviously derived from Islam. After a surge in Islamic immigration into Germany, a great number of natives are migrating out. Since Chancellor Angela Merkel allowed an upwards of one million Muslim migrants into Germany, migrant crime has soared. This has led to a great deal of unrest among native Germans. According to Kern, "Mass migration is also accelerating the Islamization of Germany, [and] many Germans appear to be losing hope about the future direction of their country." This loss of hope is quite reasonable as the birth rates among Germans are going down dramatically, and the Islamic migration is increasing the same. If this pattern continues, the face of Germany could forever change. Since the opened border mass migration policy, Islamic terror has swept over the land. Religious Terrorism : Islamic Terrorism Joseph Riley Killen Mrs. Jeanne Foust English 12 Honors December 2, 2016 Religious Terrorism Terrorism is defined as the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes. In other words terrorism is not a good thing. There are numerous types of terrorisms. Some are terrorists for political reasons, some are terrorists for religious reasons, and some are terrorists simply because they are out of their mind. Religious terrorism is one of the fastest growing types of terrorisms today. According to a survey done by the Atlantic, seventy–five percent of Americans think that religious terrorism is a growing, major threat to modern society (Merritt). Wright offers a rather complex answer to the burning question of why such a horrific terrorist attack occurred. He seems to draw certain elements from Samuel Huntington's influential ‘Clash of Civilizations' thesis. Huntington contends that the cultural distinctions between people lie at the root of most conflict in the post–cold war world. The group of radical Egyptian Islamist thinkers took hold of a serious nationalist conception of jihad and its role in establishing a truly Islamic government (Knapp, 2003). The organization's numerous attacks against the United States, and all of humanity (except the Muslims) have changed the world's perception of terrorism. There are numerous religious affiliates of al–Qaeda, some of which include, Sunni Islamism, Takfirism, and Qutbism. There are very few supporters of al–Qaeda's beliefs and actions. Osama bin Laden issued a fatwa, a ruling point of Islamic law given by a recognized authority, which eventually amounted to a public declaration of war against the United States and its allies. There is a tremendous amount of confusion about the connections between the Taliban and al–Qaeda. Although the two have ties, they are completely separate and distinct groups who have different goals. Starting in the late 1980s, an international terrorist network, al Qaeda, changed the ... • 64. Islamic Global State : Terrorism Brantley Webb Professor Vickery English 102 5/8/2015 Islamic Global State The actual definition for the word terrorist is the following: a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism. But then to go a step further terrorism is defined as, the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes (Terrorst"). Terrorist have been around for thousands of years and they will always be around. For example Iraq and Afghanistan are fraught with terrorism , that is based on the most extreme view of the Islamic religion. These extremists want to make all leaders of the world to be Islamic and they want to end all the involvement and influence from other countries on Islam (Ryan). These Islam extremist will not stop until they get what they want. They do not let anything stand in their way. There intentions are thought to be good only in their eyes. They are a cruel and ruthless group of people who have no tolerance of people who do not support their extreme beliefs. My knowledge of terrorists growing up was simply that they were the enemy; however I never understood why they did what they did. As I became older, I learned more and more about what was going on in the middle–east. I watched the news and heard about the terrorists killing Americans in cruel ways and thought how gruesome! I always thought that they were cruel just because that was their nature. I never really thought deep about why they did what they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Osama bin Laden is a well–known terrorist and is the leader and founder of al–Qaeda. • 71. Islamic Terrorism And Religious Terrorism Religious terrorism is regularly portrayed as demonstrations of unreasonable, silly and indiscriminate violence, along these lines offering few, if any what really spur religious terrorism measures. This presumption about religious terrorism comes from different nations, groups and individual's. Unbalanced regard for prophetically catastrophic terrorism, and an absence of qualification between religious terrorism and its mainstream partner. This article, in this manner, expects to do four things: characterize and separate religiously inspired terrorism, confidence, and activism along the lines of faith and violence. Furthermore, prescribe a scope of religion, confidence, and terrorism systems in view of these perceptions. Keywords: Religion, faith, terrorism, violence Is faith motivated activism a constructive force for change? Yes, I most certainly trust so, faith itself is sufficient to persuade a productive power for change for the great. Be that as it may, having faith alone is insufficient, faith must be joined by work keeping in mind the end goal to be finished, faith without the work is dead. One must begin the venture and after that believe in faith to bring it through. The scriptural meaning of faith from the book of Hebrews11:1, Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Religious terrorism is a sort of political viciousness inspired by a flat out conviction that an extraordinary force has endorsed and charged terrorist violence ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 73. Suicide Terrorism And Islamic Fundamentalism Dying To Win, Robert A. Pape challenges the views about why suicide terrorists do what they do and to whom. Pape is trying to convey that "suicide terrorism is rising around the world" (Pape pg. 6). Since many terrorist attacks have been perpetrated by Muslim terrorist motivated by religious beliefs, it makes people think that Islamic fundamentalism is the central cause. The connection between suicide terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism is incorrect, and encourage foreign countries to harm many Muslims people that are harmless. The author has assembled a database that accounts "every suicide bombing and attack around the globe from 1980 through 2003" (Pape pg. 7). There were 315 of terrorist suicide attacks at all. Pape believes that the data proves that there is little connection between suicide terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism. The main agitator of suicide attacks is "the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, a Marxist–Leninist group whose members are from Hindu families but who are adamantly opposed to religion" (Pape pg. 9). The Tamil Tigers committed 76 of the 315 suicide attacks. The author clearly and convincingly gets his message across by supporting his ideas using a database of the suicide attacks. The database helps the reader knows what all terrorist attacks have in common. All suicide attacks have in common that "terrorist want to force modern democracies to withdraw military forces from territory that the terrorists consider to be their homeland" (Pape pg. 9). ... The Intelligence Reform And Terrorism Prevention This paper analyzes Al–Qaeda as a very difficult somewhat intelligent, most circulated and uncontrollable organization, an organization which has made it a duty to confront our Nation's national security and intelligence for about 15 years. Even with the death of their leader Osama bin Laden's in May of 2011; the organization remains actively at large by replacing it leadership head with Ayman al–Zawahiri. I also analyzes 5 aspects of Al–Qaeda as an organization, namely the, History, Goals, Internet Campinas, Al Qaeda Affiliating Group and Finances. Since then al– Qaeda has merged with a number of other Islamist militant organizations, including Egypt's Islamic Jihad and the Islamic group in Yemen. Al–Qaeda was responsible for the attack on the United States on September 11, 2001, since the attack of September 11; we have undertook two wars, one in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan and also established some very important intelligence organizations, namely the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and have done many other things to fight the war against al–Qaeda and any other form of terrorist, but we have yet eliminated the threat of terrorism which might never do. • 77. Islamic Terrorism Research Paper According to the Wall Street Journal today, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) has stated that there are up to 1,000 active Islamic State–related investigations in all 50 states in the U.S. The issues and restraints law enforcement are faced with to prevent further Islamic terrorist attacks, such as the recent one in Orlando, calls for a policy change by the American federal government to fully support investigations into possible Islamic terror threats in the United States. The FBI is currently undermanned and under–resourced to focus on and resolve its many investigations into Islamic State cases inside the U.S. The fact that there is this many Islamic State investigations inside the U.S. is terrifying. The main reason there are so many investigations is because policy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are many good Muslims in the U.S. and around the world. But unfortunately the root of Islamic terrorism is Islam. The root comes from a fundamental ideology within Islam that all infidels (non–Muslims) must convert or die by the sword. Radical Islam and Islamic terrorism did not begin with the attacks on September 11, 2001, or the U.S. led invasion of Iraq in 2003. The fundamental ideology of radical Islam has existed since the creation of Islam in 622 A.D. Until that part of Islam dies, Islamic terrorism will never cease to exist. The first step in a new policy is that the U.S. must acknowledge it is at war with radical Islam. Radical Islam declared war on the U.S., and much of the west, when they flew the first plane into the World Trade Center towers; followed by flying the plane into the Pentagon. By declaring war on radical Islam, the U.S. has defined specifically who the enemy is and can build a strategy to defeat that enemy. Radical Islam sounds like a generalized term, but it is not. It is comprised of Islamic terrorists groups around the world, which currently includes the Islamic State, or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is the time that Jesus referred to as the "beginning of sorrows," (Matthew 24:8 KJV). It is a future history that was spelled out before any of us were ever born. However, it is the frequency of all of the earthquakes, the natural disasters, and the occurrence of worldwide unrest that we must pay attention to, in order to better understand the travail of a changing world, and what that means to us right now, and in very real time. Jesus said, "All these things must come to pass, but it is not the end," Matt 24:6 KJV. The Earth is presently in an effacement stage, and it is ready to enter into a period of ... The New Living translation of Zephaniah 1:14 reads, "That terrible day of the Lord is near, swiftly it comes, a day of bitter tears, a day when even strong men will cry out." Did you hear that? Strong men will cry out! You know, the ones who thought they could take it all, and exalt themselves above God. The Day of the Lord will be a period of transition from man 's rule to God 's rule, and just as the birthing labor of a woman presenting with a child at full term, the Earth is starting to show signs of great fatigue. The Earth is getting tired and weary from the process of laboring to birth a new kingdom. The Bible is very clear that the Kingdom of God will be brought forth, however painful that may be. The Earth will one day move from its distress to great joy, just like that of holding a newborn infant in your arms, "... she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy...," John 16:21 NASB. The Earth will forget its pain and sorrow, and all things will be restored and made new as seen in Revelation 21:1. In Ecclesiastes 8:7, King Solomon points out that man is greatly troubled by ignorance of the future. There is no reason for any of us to be ignorant of the future. We have the Bible! It is our immediate source to information regarding the future. It is also the source by which those who believe in the Holy Word of God, watch and carry heavy hearts for those who choose to ignore it.
