Major accountabilities in current MSL function
o Currently working in hybrid function as both medical advisor and MSL.
o Country-co lead in franchise with commercial head
o Country medical and scientific responsibilities for all cardio and metabolic products in late prelaunch
and post launch
o Contribute to market authorisation by providing medical and scientific input to different dossier in
prelaunch activities
o Contributes to mapping / profiling of KOL / decision makers in line with segmentation
o Develops professional relationships, builds advocacy and gains contributions of KOL / decision
makers
o Collects, analyzes and reports insights that may impact development plans / trial designs
o Liaises and provides up-to-date medical support to relevant external groups to facilitate listing of
products in medical guidelines, formularies to impact pricing and health economic discussions
o Provides scientific information and speaker training to healthcare professionals to support the best
use of new therapies
o Contributes to the identification of appropriate clinical investigators with research proposals that are
consistent with Novartis product development strategies, and facilitates the Investigator-Initiated
Research Protocol (IIRP) process
o Supports the investigational sites, as needed, as part of a cross-functional team with International
Clinical Research Organization (ICRO) Collaborates with colleagues to actively support medical and
scientific meetings by collecting and interpreting insights / presentations / results
o Evaluates the impact of competitive information to share internally and externally as post-meeting

o Provides medical support and is franchise lead on internal scientific/medical training (i.e. disease
