connotations and definitions to terms we find ordinary. An instance of this is Heidegger's "Dasein".
He takes two very common German words: "Da", meaning "there" and "sein", meaning "to be", but
"Dasein" has the heavy connotation of not only physically existing there, but being present in a

Denoting particular connotations onto existing words enables philosophers to give voice to

confusion to the reader. As Lois Shawver points out in his article Postmodernizing the Unconscious,
if one, as the reader, gives into the assumption that the language is used in the usual way, then the
philosopher's words will appear to be outlandish and enigmatic (Shawver, 1998).
This begs the question: how does the reader then know if the writer is using an ordinary term or

Last night I made the drive to Union Local high school to watch my first game, that featured Wier,
West Virginia and the Union Local Jets. The stadium was very nice, with the only complaint being
three bucks to park.
The two teams came in with a combined record of 9–1. Both came in with offenses that had been
dominating, with Weir averaging in the neighborhood of 45 points per game, ans Union Local
averaging 41 points per game. I think everyone in the stadium was thinking that there was going to
be a ton of points put up in this one, but that would not be the case. I am not sure if the little rain that

was a defensive struggle all night long, for both of the high potent offenses.

cookies and someone said the winners got to eat them. On the other tables, "rare candy", an item in
the video game, was placed for people to eat during the activity. I sat down at one of the six

– Write my name on the board and today's date – so the students get themselves familiarize with the
date in English but also for them to write their own name and date on their paper as well
– Use hand signals (clap my hand) to get the students to settle down and get their attention
– Greet the class by saying "Hello everyone!" and tell them to say "Hello" back to me
Class Arrangement:
– Have students sit down at their own assigned seats so I can familiarize myself with the student
names. (They can move around as we are doing activities or group work.)
– Once I'm familiarize with their names they are allowed to change seats if they wish
– But if I found that students that are sitting together not learning but talking too much I will switch
their seats so they are sitting further away from each other
Presentation of Objectives:
–Review last time's material o Play the game "I spy" or say "I see" if they don't understand what "I
spy" means o Have students split into twos, within the pairs each student takes turn saying "I spy
with my little eyes something [red/blue/etc.]" or they can say "I see something [red/blue/etc.]" that's
in the class and the other student try to guess the item that the other student is thinking about in
English if they can. And if the student cannot say it in English they can just walk up to the item and
point it out instead o I will go around to check to make sure they are doing it correctly

Before I commence the blog's annual Top 10 Moments of 2017, I've decided to do something
different this year. In addition to unilaterally assembling the countdown list, I will introduce the
site's first–ever countdown of the five best new game shows of the year. We've seen a lot of fun and
fresh new shows (Funderdome, Emogenius, iWitness) and we've also seen some clunkers that
should be left behind when the new year arrives (Snap Decision, Candy Crush, Big Star Little Star).
This list includes game shows that officially premiered in 2017 (not counting "sneak peek" episodes

This edition of Fear Factor debuted during the spring this year with rapper/actor Ludacris taking the
helm this time around and a slightly redesigned format catered toward millennial audiences. In
addition to casting younger contestants, the other major change that was made in this version was
tailoring each round in a specific manner. The first round, Beat The Beast, focuses on conquering
fears of insects, reptiles and other creepy crawlies. The second round, Face Your Fear, purposefully
forces the remaining contestants to face a fear they all have in common. The third round, The Final
Fear, is simply an extreme physical stunt which usually includes accomplishing a task while being
submerged underwater for an extended period of time, on top of a towering skyscraper or
maneuvering across a tractor–trailer ferociously driving on a test track. Not only was Fear Factor
renewed during its first season, the season premiere of the show set an MTV record for the highest–
rated premiere in two years among young adults (18–34) with its total viewership clocking in at
936,000.
