This document provides the directions for an assignment on relationships between home, school, and community. Students are asked to respond to four questions. The first question asks students to describe the conflicting emotions parents may feel when their children form attachments to teachers. The second question asks students to explain what research shows about how additional attachments affect a child's relationship with their primary caregiver. The third question asks students to describe issues related to role confusion a teacher may experience. The final question asks what teachers can do to reinforce the parent-child relationship and communicate that they do not wish to replace the parent. The document concludes with a grading rubric that will be used to evaluate students' responses.

Home, School, and Community
Directions: Be sure to save an electronic copy of your answer
before submitting it to Ashworth College for grading. Unless

cited in APA format. Your response should be four (4)

An emotional response by parents is the fear that teachers will
replace them in their children’s affections.
