1. When is your birthday?
=> It’s on the nineteenth of August. (19/8)
2. What do you often do on your birthday?
 I usually eat out with my family./ I usually have a party at home and invite my friends to
come. / I often go to the movie/ sing Karaoke with my friends.
 (It’s just a normal day for me. I just do what I often do every day, such as, going to
school, cooking and eating, listening to music, ,surfing the Internet, and so on.
3. What holidays are celebrated in your country?
=> In my country, we celebrate several/ a lot of holidays and festivals, such as, Independence
Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Tet Holiday, Hung King Anniversary, Christmas, New Year,
Teacher’s Day, Valentine’s Day, May Day.

3. 4. Do most people celebrate their birthdays with a party in your country? What kind of
gifts are popular in your country?
 Yes, I think so. They can have a party at home with their family or they can celebrate it
in a restaurant and invite family and friends.
 No, it depends. If someone wants to celebrate it, they can do it at home or at a
restaurant. If they don’t want to celebrate, they just hang out with friends or
boyfriends/girlfriends.
5. Do you think some people spend a lot of money on celebrations these days? On which
celebrations?
 I think so. Every year, people have a lot of celebrations like birthdays, First day at school
or work, Love anniversary, Friendship, and so on.
 I don’t think so. I think people just spend money on special celebrations, such as,
birthday, wedding anniversary.
