A bottling plant is a specialized of filling empty containers with the desired product and
performing other needed services to prepare that product to be shipped to customers.
Setting up and running a bottling plant requires an investment in specialized equipment as

5. Introduction
It was in 1936 that Al Jomaih Company saw the light when two brothers, Abdul Aziz and
Mohammed Abdullah Al Jomaih founded a small trading establishment in the town of
Shaqra. Four years later, keen to further expand the company’s activities, the brothers
moved the hub of their business to Riyadh
Throughout its journey of successes, 1957 marked a special year for Al Jomaih Company
with a premier partnership in the beverage industry that saw it become the franchise
bottler of Pepsi-Cola in Riyadh and the first processor of locally made carbonated
beverages.

In Aljomaih There are five production lines
KHS line is the Cans line it usually gets
90000-103000 cans/hour
NRB is the Glass bottle line It produces
around 25000 bottles/hour.
PET1/2 Is the oldest lines and it produce
Plastic bottle line They have two lines to cover
the different type of product. It produces
around 10500 bottles/hour in a single line.
Aquafina Is the Drinking water Line it usually
gets 38000-40000 Bottles/hour.

The leading skill is one the important skill to have as and engineer it will push your position
to the next level.
Improving the work for the compony because every great compony has a great leader as the
head of department and that goes for engineer as will a lot of engineer has a team beside
them so if they guide in the right way the whole team will improve.
They test my abilities in small scale as they assigned me to Aquafina line to see what making
the efficiency go below the stander.
I did that assignment put no direct order to any of the staff just reporting to the head of the
operation department as he was my Summer training mentor.

GE211: How to work as a team how to avoid problems also how to write a good report.
ME371: Everything related to heat and refrigerant cycle it helps me a lot.
ME360: in maintenance and the workshop I saw a lot of machines that has separated parted and the
course sometime teach me about what part of that machine is.
EE339: this course gave me an idea about generators and motors and it’s the most common machine
used in the plant.
M340/ ME 441: gave me more idea why they design some machine in a way that will help them reduce
the cost and be more efficient.

31. Conclusion
In Conclusion the summer training was one of the most informative things I did in my life it taught me
how a Bottling plant work. In specific I learned about how can you make a good operation department
and the plant/machine layout like: - Depalletizer, blow molding, filler, caper, seamer, labeler, packer, and
palletizer.
Also, I learned About maintenance for how to look up for a new part for the machine, the trouble
shooting you need to do if there is no clear indictor about what the problem is, and how the machine
differs between old and new model.
The important of quality and how to achieve the quality that you aim for and how does it relate to good
product testing.
Then, I learned about utility the heart of every plant in earth because it has a lot of branches in it like: -
water treatment, boiler, Chiller, and Co2.
After that, I learned about Reporting and how does that help with keep an eye on the rate of production
and how does that relate to seeing what keep stopping the production.
I also learned one the most skilled as an engineer which is leading, I took that in a small scale but it was
helpful.
