Tianmu Lake Tourist Resort is located 8 kilometers south of Fuyang
City. The two large national reservoirs of Shahe and Daxi are located
in the Tianmu Mountain, hence the name “Tianmu Lake”. The overall
planned area of the tourist resort is 10.67 square kilometers
(excluding 7.25 square kilometers of water surface).
There are many historical and cultural sites around Tianmu Lake: Wu
Youshan, named after the “Fa” of the Chu people in the Spring and
Autumn Period, the Cai Han Reading Desk of the Eastern Han
Dynasty, Taibai Building, Bao Enchan Temple, the former site of the
Longxing Temple in the Tang Dynasty , “The world’s first stone arch

Historical evolution
In 1949, it belonged to Zhongfang Township.
In 1956, it belonged to Zhongfang Township and Chatie Township.
In 1961, the seven production brigades of the two communes of

Shahe), and the Shahe People’s Commune was rebuilt in the same
