Mission Hills, in May 2011, was rated as a national 5A-level tourist
attraction. It is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. It is the
leader of China’s leisure industry. It is the first group to advocate the

In 1992, Mission Hills Group selected nearly 20 square kilometers of
barren hills and mountains at the junction of Shenzhen and
Dongguan. It developed a Mission Hills Golf Club with five

with a size of 216 holes. The World Record Organization is recognized
as the world’s largest golf club. In 2009, Mission Hills Group

4. History and culture
On December 18, 1992, the Mission Hills Golf Club was established.
In February 1994, Mission Hills Golf Club, Shenzhen Municipal
People’s Government and International Golf Association officially
signed an agreement on the 41st World Cup finals at the Mission Hills
Golf Club in Shenzhen at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
On April 1, 1994, the All-China Sports Foundation, with Dr. Zhu
Shuhao as the first sponsor, was formally established.
In December 1994, the first 18-hole course of Mission Hills designed
by 20th century ball king Jack Nicklaus was officially opened.
In July 1997, the Mission Hills Country Club opened. The club has the
largest tennis center in Asia. The 51 tennis courts consist of three
different types of courts, hard, soft and grass, and have eight pit-type
tennis courts that were first introduced to China.
On July 27, 1997, the first China Mission Hills Sports Industry
Economics Symposium was held. At the seminar, Dr. Zhu Shuhao
submitted a paper entitled “The sports industry will become China’s
new economic growth point”.
On May 26, 2004, the club won the Guinness World Record for the
World’s largest club. Representatives of the Guinness World Records
Organization visited the club and on behalf of the Guinness
Organization announced that the Mission Hills Club will become the
world’s largest club and awarded the Guinness World Record
Certificate. At the same time, the “Joint Wuzhou Tour China
Challenges the World No. 1” Golf Marathon was officially launched.
On October 19, 2004, Mission Hills won the first prize of the
“International Garden Community” Gold Award and the highest honor
of the Natural Community. In the “International Garden City”
competition held in Canada, Mission Hills International Golf Club won

In September 2007, with the official opening of Zhang Lianwei and
Beidai Stadium, Mission Hills once again won the Guinness Book of
Records in the world with 12 courses of 216 holes.
In August 2008, Xinchang Construction Group, a listed company of
Junhao Group, successfully acquired 66.4% of the controlling
shareholding of Xinchang Management. Xinchang Management
officially became a member of Junhao Group. So far, Junhao Group
completed the acquisition of the second Hong Kong listed company in
the same year.
On May 13, 2011, Mission Hills was officially assessed as a national
5A-level tourist scenic spot by the National Tourism Scenic Area
Quality Rating Committee.
