After doing some research of my own, I found out that a much better way to burn fat was by lifting weights. I was never into weights but it made sense. When you do too much cardio, your body may begin taking what it needs in terms of energy from your muscle. Having more muscle is beneficial because one pound of muscle burns more calories than a pound of fat. Muscle burns calories even at rest.
2. The thing we are mainly concerned about when
attempting to burn belly fat is the energy
balance. Very simply at the end of the day the
energy you have taken in from eating and
drinking needs to total less than the energy you
have used up. If you do this the short fall of
energy will be taken from fat supplies. This can
then cause you to burn belly flab as energy.
3. Let's cut to the chase shall we. Belly fat does not look pretty, it is
excess fat that you are carrying around with you and serves very
little purpose save to be the source of jokes for other people to
throw at you. It is neither healthy nor useful and what is more it is
your fault that you have got it. OK that might all sound a bit harsh
but It is surely not far from the truth. However the good news
about belly blubber is that you caused yourself to get it which
means that you can cause yourself to lose it too! Here that is
what we are going to focus on 'how to burn belly fat'.
4. My favorite thing about working out this way is that I can get everything
done in about 30 - 45 minutes. That is why you exercise less and burn
more fat. Seriously, with a busy schedule, I don't have hours to spend
at the gym. By the way, I also canceled my gym membership last year
because I can do the workouts at home. Now my home gym consists of
a set of dumbbells, a stability ball, and elastic bands. It's not a bad deal
to save money on gym fees. Plus being able to work out on your time
without having to travel someplace else to do it. You can workout
outdoors in the park, back yard, or in a small space in your home.
5. Strength training burns fat and when combined with interval training, you can burn fat much more
efficiently. Interval training prevents the muscle loss risked with doing too much cardio. I prefer
doing full-body workouts when I exercise. They save time and work out all of the major muscle
groups. Here is a sample workout that I usually do: 10 - 12 push-ups 12 - 15 squats 15 jumping
jacks 12 dumbbell lunges 24 mountain climber Repeat as necessary (3 to 4 rounds)
