4. A B S T R A C T
• Developing a website accessible to the visually impaired, using
technology like speech recognition to help access and interact with the
website easily.
It will become easy for visually impaired people to surf the website through
voice input, and as an output, the website content will be read aloud.
It allow the user to traverse from one link to another, thus solving the visually
impaired problem of ‘Accessibility to technology’
5. EXISTING SYSTEM
• In most of the websites we are just having the option to listen to the content present in the
website.
• In the existing technology like accessing the website, the visually impaired people
still can’t see what’s in the website and interact with it accordingly.

SYST E M
Most of the websites do not have voice input command which makes visually impaired
persons difficult to interact.
Most blind users cannot afford specialized software like screen reader access,
which helps them read, as the installation is challenging and expensive.
7. O BJ E C T I VE S
Creating a sample website that has both audio input and output as the main
features.
As soon as the visually disabled person accesses the website, an introductory
audio will be played, and all the links available in the website will be read aloud.
After the audio stops, the visually disabled person can tell his required option, the
page will be re-directed to the desired option.
8. Again the audio starts playing from the desired page. This approach will
help visually impaired people to surf the website easily and not download
any complex and challenging software which is becoming a technological
barrier for them.
If the user wants to stop, he/she can say “stop” and the website will be stopped
with an explanation audio that the website is stopped and can be resumed
again by “double-clicking” on any part of the website screen.
9. TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES
• HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
• JavaScript ES6
Django web framework
• NodeJs /ExpressJs
• Python
•Text to speech using GTTs (Google Text to s peech) API
• Python packages like Re, Beautiful-soup.
10. METHODOLOGY
Methodology that enables recognitionof speech and translation of speech:
• Natural language processing (NLP): While NLP isn't necessarily a specific algorithm
used in speech recognition, it is the area of artificial intelligence which focuses on the
interaction between humans and machines through language through speech and text
• Speech recognition involves three processes: extraction of acoustic indices from
the speech signal, estimation of the probability that the observed index string was
caused by a hypothesized utterance segment, and determination of the recognized
utterance via a search among hypothesized alternatives.
