A Carrier is a fixed frequency. More frequencies can be created if
this frequency is turned on and off very rapidly. Another word for
this rapid switching is "Modulation". Usually this Modulating
frequency is quite high, so the switching cannot be observed.

This comb analogy very closely explains how a Carrier Sweep
works.
Imagine an inverted hair comb. The teeth of the comb represent
the frequencies being created by a modulated Carrier. Each tooth
is evenly spaced, just as modulating a Carrier frequency makes
evenly spaced frequencies, all the Modulation frequency apart.

Now imagine dipping the tip of each tooth into some black ink and
placing the tips onto a white piece of paper. The paper will have a
series of black dots. Each dot represents where a frequency will be
present. Slide the comb lengthwise by one tooth pitch. The paper
will now have a solid black line. Every "frequency" has been
"written" by the comb by moving it only fractions of an inch.

Until now Rife machines have had a fixed Carrier frequency.
The only sweep option available was a Modulation sweep. In the
comb analogy, the teeth would gradually move further and
further apart. The comb would also grow larger to accommodate
the extra spacing. The dots would cross each other as the
spacing increases. This means that each frequency is hit
several times during a sweep.

Each frequency is produced for 8 seconds or less. Royal Rife
applied his frequencies for 3 minutes. This may explain why the
sweeps used have not produced "spontaneous remissions" as
they should.The Carrier Sweep applies each frequency just
once, but it applies it for at least 3 minutes. Each frequency is
thoroughly pounded.
Disadvantage

The Carrier Sweeps in Spooky can be user-defined. The Carrier
Frequency will receive most of the power, so choose a frequency
that is in the centre of the frequency range you wish to target. The
Frequency Application Time sets how long each frequency will be
applied within the Tolerance band. You can set the parameters to
best suit your needs.

When creating a custom Carrier Sweep keep an eye
on the Sweep Duration. This is the time required to
complete the sweep. Often this time can extend to
many hours if the settings are altered without care.
