TEMCOPPAD is one of the leading manufacturers of
Glass Reinforced Concrete products in the region.
Our continuing strive for quality and market leader-
ship with high degree of emphasis on research, de-
velopment and procurement of quality materials
from Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A. has helped main-
tain our strong position. In1987, we commenced
Glass Reinforced Cement (GRC) with a humble staff
of 120 people where today we employ over 500
skilled labors.
Our main assets are, our labours along with highly
qualified engineers ensuring a value engineered
finished product.

Glassfibre Reinforced Cement (GRC)
Glassfibre Reinforced Cement ( GRC ) is a compos-
ite material consisting of a mortar of hydraulic ce-
ment and fine aggregate reinforced with alkali re-
sistant glassfibre. The GRC may contain additional
filler materials, pozzolanic materials and admixtures.
The fibre contents are typically 3% to 5% by weight
defending on product application and production
method employed. The properties of GRC depend
on a wide range of variables. These include the
method of manufacturing, mix formulation, fibre
product type, length and orientation, add mixtures
used etc. A GRC material may therefore be tailored
to meet the particular requirements of a specific ap-
plication. GRC Materials have a aggregate-cement
ratio of up to 1:1, incorporating glass fibre and
made by spray and premix processes. These materi-
als have been widely used for many years and their
properties and characteristic have been studied ex-
tensively.
GRC is a family of composite materials that combine
the high compressive strength properties of cement
mortars with significantly increased impact, flexural
and tensile strengths imparted by the fibre rein-

GRC products are safe, have a good chemical resistance and will not rot
or corrode. GRC is made of organic materials and will not burn, has neg-
ligible smoke emission and offers good fire resistance. GRC is normally
of relatively thin cross sections, giving a low component weight which
allows savings in handling, storage, transfortation, and installation com-
pared with traditional concrete products.

GRC can have a smooth or stone, acid washed finish.
GRC is usually used for decoration, however, it can
be used for thermal insulation or waterproofing.
