Benefits Of Keeping Marine Animals In Zoos
Keeping marine mammals and fish in aquariums in zoos is stressful for the fish; marine mammals
and fish can thrive in captivity, but they can only do so under safe and secure conditions. These
mammals should be kept in marine sanctuaries. Marine sanctuaries are a portion of the ocean where
the government controls the activity and interference of humans. These sanctuaries are designed for
scientific research and recreation. Fish and marine mammals are not meant to be confined to a small
and unhappy environment, where humans enjoy staring at the fish's "home." The Humane Society of
the United States explains their opinion in their article, "Keeping Marine Mammals in Captivity is
Cruel Exploitation" that keeping these wild mammals is wrong and only for "the public's
amusement." The Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums believes that keeping these
marine mammals in zoos benefits the health of the fish and educates the public. The Alliance of
Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums makes sure education is the top priority of every worker;
they rescue, rehabilitate, and release marine mammals and fish that are abandoned and helpless.
Their main goal is to educate the public about their work and to hopefully release the fish back into
its home in the ocean. Unfortunately, some of the marine mammals and fish are too frail and weak to
be released back into the ocean. If this is the case, the Alliance members will provide a safe and
friendly home for the helpless marine mammal.

Northern Snakehead Fish (Channa argus)
Origin | Habitat | Introduction and Spread | Impacts | Identification | Prevention and Control |
Occurrences
Background
The northern snakehead fish (Channa argus) has been identified as an invasive aquatic fish across
the country. Snakehead fish got their name because of their long, cylindrical body plan and large
scales on their head that give them a snake–like appearance. In the United States, there are four
species of snakeheads: Channa argus (northern snakehead), Channa micropeltes (giant snakehead),
Channa marulius (bullseye snakehead), and Channa maculate (blotched snakehead). The northern
snakehead fish has succeeded in establishing breeding populations in the wild. This species is of
concern because it is a top predator and disrupts the natural aquatic feeding ... Show more content

The northern snakehead fish species is native to China and possibly Korea and Russia.
Habitat
Snakeheads are an aquatic fish that live in freshwater streams, rivers, wetlands, or ponds. They
prefer low moving to stagnant waters. Snakeheads can survive the cold winters and low oxygen
environment. Some snakeheads are capable of breathing atmospheric oxygen and may be able to
jump out of the water to be found on terrestrial land near aquatic systems. During the spawning
season, northern snakehead fish prefer shallow waters with macrophyte cover (Lapointe et al. 2010).
Nests are made by first clearing an area and then weaving aquatic vegetation into a column to hold
and protect eggs.

Devolution Of The Ocean
The Ocean makes up 80% of the earth's body and is home to many marine life and is also a source
of food. Of all the threats that are present in today's society the most alarming is the world's ocean
into ecological extinction. Over the last several decades human activity has altered the oceans basic
cycles causing it to go into evolution, but in this case backwards. Many factors contribute to the
devolution of the ocean. Pollution, Overfishing, Climate change and many other factors. The
problem is Society but society can also be the solution.
The oceans problems starts with pollution from the most visible such as devastating oil spills to less
visible such as runoff in rivers carrying; plastic bags, paper, plastic bottles etc. Also big and ... Show

Despite that, the human appetite has caused fisherman to increase fishing by creating innovative
ways to fish. With new the technology we are able to catch 94 million tons a year(Earth Policy
Institute 1996) of fish. The fish don't stand a chance with the evolving technology. Techniques that
are usually common when it comes to fishing is when a ship drags enormous cages along the ocean's
bottom and haul nets the size of football fields through the water. Every country uses this method
The United States, Japan, Germany etc. but the country that outnumbers all of those countries is
china."The basic fact that China is hungry for fish. As the nation's standard of living rises, demand
for seafood has soared. Per capita, the Chinese eat 50 percent more fish than Americans. The
country's 1.4 billion citizens eat more fish than those of the next 10 biggest countries
combined....one third of the world's total––according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture
Organization. " China has one of the biggest fish industries in the world, How does this contribute to
the destruction of the ocean? We are catching fishes by tons, Many fishes don't get to reproduce and
most of the time we leave the animals with less food for them to eat for example, catching an entire
surplus of one fish may starve another fish that relied on it for food. Many unwanted fish get tangled
into the cages or nets as well for example, when a ship is sailing along with its nets and cages open
many untargeted fishes get tangled into the nets. "Ten pounds of unwanted fish are killed for every
pound of shrimp caught in the southern United States"(Carl Safina). Not only are we over fishing a

Royal Chinook Salmon
With the influx of human population immigrating to Pacific Northwest Region of the United States
at the end of the 19th century, extracting the natural goods of the environment quickly became an
issue of sustainability and preservation. In the State of Washington Ninth Annual Report of the State
Fish Commissioner of 1898, author A.C. Little illustrates how the extractive actions along many of
Washington's river systems are resulting in a major depletion of salmon species unique to the
Northwest. Little's Report aimed to bring attention to over consumption of this finite resource that
was not only intrinsically valuable to many people within the region but was also a very successful
economic engine too value to deplete. The booming fishing industry, ... Show more content on

Informative Essay: Black Bass Fishing In The United States
Bass Fishing.
Bass fishing is the angling of more commonly known black bass. There are so many black bass
species well–thought–out as game fish in North America. For instance largemouth bass, spotted
Kentucky bass, smallmouth bass, and Guadalupe Bass. Bass fishing can be a technically challenging
sport and or activity due to many factors like weather condition, water temp etc. Bass fishing has
been around for hundreds of years however the sport has changed a lot since it started as a sport
around the late 19th century. Modern bass fishing has evolved into a big dollar industry. Part of this
has to do with the fact that the sport has driven the development of all means of fishing gear
including rods, reals, Lines, lures, and also other specified bait for bass fishing.

Food Insecurity In America
Traditional agriculture methods are taking a toll on the environment! Crop yields worldwide are not
increasing quickly enough to support estimated global needs projected for 2050, the year when
Earth's population is estimated be over 9 billion people (Alexandratos; Bruinsma, 2012). Developed
nations must learn to grow more crops with less farmable land and water. By 2030, global water
consumption will increase by 30% (Fox, 2013). Developing countries with access to farmable lands
must double production, and overall global food production must increase by 50–70%. Global meat
production must increase from 200 million tons to 470 million tons (FAO, 2009). In many areas of
Africa where meat production is scarce, gorillas are being hunted as a source ... Show more content

The term aquaponics dates back to the 1970's, yet its practice dates back to the time of the Mayan
and Aztec civilizations where they grew plants atop rafts on the surface of lakes. Aquaponics is the
result of the integration of Aquaculture (fish farming), Hydroponics, (the soilless culture of plants),
and the addition of beneficial bacteria into a single eco–system. The fish, usually Tilapia or Catfish
are kept in large tanks and fed a protein– rich fish food. The resulting fish waste is pumped into a
tank where established bacteria growth and biofilters break down the fish waste converting it and
ammonia into nitrates and then into nitrites. The nitrite–rich water is channeled through floating
plant grow beds or large tubs containing a porous substrate. It is here where the nitrites are absorbed
through the plant's root systems. The nitrite free water is then returned to the fish tank and the cycle
continues (Ako, 2014; Hillyer, 2007). Compared to traditional farming methods no soil is used when
growing in an aquaponic environment. The absence of soil reduces the risk of soil–borne pathogens
(E. Coli) from being transmitted to humans. Chemical pesticides typically used in growing produce
in soil based farming are non–existent in an aquaponic environment. The use of such chemicals
would be life threatening to the fish in the system.

Climate Change And Global Warming
A lot of attention has been focused on the impacts of climate change and global warming on forests,
farms, freshwater sources and the economy. But what has climate change and global warming done
to the ocean and the creatures that live in the ocean? Earth 's oceans have been contaminated with
pollution and global warming/climate change. "When Earth formed about 4.5 billion years ago there
were no oceans. Since then, as surface water has accumulated, the filling ocean basins have been the
reaction chamber for the development of life on Earth and have played a fundamental role in the
ongoing evolution of the planet 's climate(Brierly et al)." The effects of climate change and global
warming on marine life can be seen through ocean acidification, fish migration, and the impacts on
US fish industry.
Climate change and global warming are two of the most serious environmental challenges to face
Earth. Global warming is the constant heating of Earth 's surface, including oceans and atmosphere.
Climate change is both the heating and cooling of Earth. Scientists have documented the rise in
average temperatures worldwide since the late 1800s. "Earth 's average temperature has risen by 1.4
degrees Fahrenheit over the past century, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.
Temperatures are projected to rise another 2 to 11.5 degrees Fahrenheit over the next 100
years(Bradford)." Increasing global temperatures are expected to disrupt ecosystems, pushing

Not So Fishy Fish Farms
Not So Fishy Fish Farms Fish farms and aquaculture in the US have come under scrutiny in the past
decade because people are unsure of what they are eating. Fish farms fall under the large umbrella
term of aquaculture. Dictionary.com defines aquaculture as "the cultivation of aquatic animals and
plants, especially fish, shellfish, and seaweed, in natural or controlled marine or freshwater
environments." This practice has evolved over centuries and exploded in the 1970's, becoming the
number one producer of fish worldwide over wild caught fish. In truth, aquaculture in the US
provides fish that contains the same or less contaminants than wild caught fish. Aquaculture also
provides many advantages over conventional commercial fishing, such as superior sustainability and
consistency. These advantages cause aquaculture to continue expanding everywhere and provide
many jobs for the American people. With the growth of the aquaculture industry, the US will be able
to produce more seafood and reduce the amount of imported fish. While the aquaculture industry in
the United States suffers from some drawbacks, it also provides many benefits, such as an increased
supply of healthy fish, increased productivity, and economic benefits. These benefits outweigh the
drawbacks of aquaculture and the industry should continue to grow in the future with the support of
the American population. Aquaculture attracts negative attention from ecologically concerned
people, which makes sense

The United Nations Targets For Ocean Sustainability
1. The United Nations targets for ocean sustainability are measurable when looking at 14.1, 14.2,
14.3, 14.4, 14.5 and 14.6. This is due to that fact that the United Nations is able to create a base level
in order to look at the major contributors to these issues this can be then simplified as these
contributors are the human population. For example, when look at target 14.3 which deals with the
eminent of fossil fuels, fossil fuels are cause by production run by humans. Allowing humans to
have control over how many fossil fuels they want to eminent on a daily basis. Another example of a
target that can be measurable is 14.4 as it deals with the issue of over fishing and the use of fish
stocks. This target is measurable as The United Nations is able to measure fish stocks and will be
able to measure them ten years from now to see if the laws put in place are positively affecting our
worlds oceans. They will be able to check the harvest growth pattern that the fish stocks provide in
order to catch illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. There are however targets under The
Unites Nations goal that are not measurable this can be seen when looking at targets 14.7,14. a,14. b
and 14.c. I believe that these goals are unable to be measured due to that fact for example in 14.7
there is no quantification in dollars or percentages as it is looking at economic benefits of
developing states. When looking at the other targets they are to general and have no specific goal

Chile claims one of the worlds largest fishing industries, which yields an annual catch up about
5,000,000 tons of fish and shellfish per year. With an average of US$1.1 billion being exported to
149 countries. The Chilean waters are teeming with life with an estimated 1016 species of fish living
along Chile's expansive 2500 mile coastline. Scientists have called this Marine area at the perfect
marine ecosystem due to the temperature of the water which stays between 54 and 64 degrees
Fahrenheit because of the constant Antarctic current supplying the purest and most oxygenated sea

The Patagonian toothfish is another Chile and successful fish, better known as the Chilean Seabass
as it was named by Lee Lantz, a young fish merchant. Upon being introduced to this fish he was told
that there was no use for the fish in Chile because of its oily texture. Lisa past the rejection of this
fish and sold it to the United States as a Chilean specialty. With a talent for marketing he brought the
fish to its current popularity and fame in restaurants nationwide.
One Chilean favorite is the Conger, this deal like fish is usually stewed any popular chowder that
once inspired the famous poet Pablo Neruda to write an ode to the soup. "... The rose Conger, giant

Through the farming process, natural occurrences such as competition for food resources, predation,
diseases, climate change, and reproduction are manipulated. The farming environment is controlled
and regulated using various techniques dependent on the species, either fish, crustaceans, aquatic
plants, and mollusks. Aquaculture involves the propagation, cultivation, and marketing of these
aquatic stocks (Swann 1992) and can also include ownership, individual or corporate, of production
stocks (Goldburg et al. 2001). Within the aquaculture industry there are several categories of
aquaculture facilities including but not limited to concrete ponds, trays and longlines (Goldburg et
al. 2001), tank systems, Earthen ponds, net pens, cages, raceways, and recirculating systems
(Ramírez–Godínez et al. 2013). The production systems of these facilities range from traditional,
low–intensity sustenance to highly intensive production in man–made earthen pools, freshwater,
brackish, and marine environments (Pelletier and Tyedmers 2008).

The Controversy Of Seawater Banning
Our plan has the United States Department of Interior banning all commercial fishing in Marine
Protected Areas, and establishing and enforcing regulations for the recreational use of these areas.
The practice of bottom trawling will be banned in U.S. ocean fisheries. This plan will decrease the
worry of losing all our fish in the sea. We are harvesting more fish that can be replenished, so
banning the practice of bottom trawling and other fishing practices in Marine Protected Areas put
fish like tuna in danger. The decrease in tuna cause the marine food chain to change thus causing an
abundance of smaller fish such as sardines and anchovies. "Declines of top predators may cascade

Also, Callum Roberts says that Marine protected Areas can "allow recovery of species such as

seabed and perform countless other vital roles such as filtering the water." the plan of expanding
marine protected areas will greatly develop the ocean and its

Research Paper On Overfishing
Heller 1
Without many people even realizing it, overfishing is one of the biggest causes of decreased marine
life. This fish–depleting tactic has severely impacted many aspects of not only marine life but also
human life. However, overfishing is not the only problem that threatens the oceans. Some have
taken the other side by claiming that pollution is the major problem of decreased marine populations
around the world. This has sparked debate on which cause has affected sea creatures the most. Even
though overfishing is one of the biggest causes of depleted fish populations, pollution also plays a
big factor because it affects the fish's food cycle, and reduced marine populations is a big issue
because fish is a primary source of protein for 17% of the world. According to the National
Geographic Society in the article Overfishing – Pristine Seas, "The earliest overfishing occurred in
the early 1800s when humans, seeking blubber for lamp oil, decimated the whale population".
Overfishing grew worse over time from that incident, which has drastically interfered with the

What is the Asian Carp? What makes these creatures foreign or never–often heard about? The Asian
Carp are found in the Illinois River that connects to the Mississippi River. The Carp is known to be
an invasive species to our rivers. Invasive specie is a specie or organism that is not native to ones

The common carp, Cyprinus carpio, has been in the United States for over 100 years. It is
considered a nuisance fish, but it doesn't seem to do much harm to the Great Lakes our most
importantly, the Mississippi River. There are four separate invasive species that are referred to as
"Asian Carp". Their names are: the bighead carp, the black carp, the grass carp, and the silver carp.
A few of these carp managed to get into the Mississippi River, and eventually established breeding

Many of the fish that are raised are for consumer consumption only. Presumably, the fish being
consumed is not as healthy as many consumers might think. The Farmed Fish carry the high level of
Mercury and cannot be consumed often. However, there's also Farms that raise fish for the purposes
of stocking lakes and ponds. In recent study's and surveys, Fresh Farm is creating enormous
complication on the environmental and ecological aspect. As many Farmers would agree on the pros
of will a Fresh Farm beat the Cons of having them. Conservationist would disagree with the farmers,
having a Fish Farms is destroying the environment slowly. Farmers are not aware of the problem
until it's too late to do anything about the problem. There's an enormous environmental controversy
about Aquaculture that many farmers and scientist are ignoring. Most of them just see the revenue
that is being made. The dark truth about Fish Farms

Damn Dams In The United States
Damn Dams The United States has led the world in dam building for the past 100 years. The dams
are used for a variety of purposes, including hydropower, irrigation, flood control, and water
storage. Even though dams can be a benefit to society, they can also cause a lot for harm to the
rivers. Dams degraded river ecosystems, depleted fisheries, and diminished the recreational use of
nearly all of the nation's rivers. Many of the dams are unsafe, old or no longer serve their intended
purposes.
Reduce River Levels Dams by nature are used to divert water from going down river freely. This
causes the areas below the dams to become dewatered and takes away the water needed for a heathy

Pacific Ocean Waste Management
In the Pacific Ocean, there is an island made completely out of garbage. It is so big that it is called
the Great Pacific Ocean Patch. Scientists even found that nine percent of the island is made up of
dead fish. The patch weighs about seven million tons, which means that there are 630,000 tons of
fish on that one island of garbage. Scientists also say that the patch could possibly double within the
next ten years. The patch is estimated to be the size of Texas to twice the size of the continental
United States (Moore). This issue needs to be resolved quickly and efficiently. One way to resolve it
is to improve the level of waste management used across the world. Waste management is a solution
to all kinds of pollution. The level of waste management in the United States and around the world
is unacceptably low. Many people think that waste management is just a garbage and recycling
company. Although, "Waste management is the handling of discarded materials, also known as
waste or garbage" ("Waste Management"). Waste management is not just a company, it is a global
crisis. Waste management is a process leading to less pollution in the oceans and many other places.
It can be the igniter for people in the world to go green and preserve the environment and the
animals in it. The Barents and Greenland Seas are north of the United States and Europe. These seas
are hotspots for plastic pileups. "Plastic has been gathering in the Barents and Greenland Seas"

Treatment Programs in the United States
Jefferson M. Fish, Professor Emeritus, former Chair of the Psychology Department as well as a
former Director of Clinical Psychology at St. John's University wrote in the Oregon Law Review,
"another set of mistaken assumptions underlies current policy regarding...mandatory drug treatment,
offered by the courts as an alternative to imprisonment, is an effective and enlightened policy" (Fish,
2013). Fish (2013) attempted to convey to the readers, the absolute necessity of overhauling current
United States policies regarding drug treatment. Several topics were touched upon, including the
foundational policies of the War on Drugs as well as competing treatment paradigms. Regarding

contrast, in compulsory drug treatment, the therapist is working for the court, and seeking to leave

Fish's (2013) assertion that compulsory treatment is ineffective resulting from a lack of voluntary
trust is contrary to the conventional policy rationale and discredits diversion treatment. Lastly with
regard to civil commitment, Fish (2013) argues that, "for non–problem users, therapy turns into a
charade". I believe that Gostin (1991) is correct in that society must weigh the compulsion of
treatment against the efficacy, however Fish shows us that our current models are ineffective as
"non–problem" users find treatment unnecessary and that problem users are unable to receive
effective treatment in a compulsory manner.

Aquaculture in the United States
Undoubtedly, the nation is falling into an inordinate fish crisis. Many systems are in practice to
contribute to feedings the world's population, and roughly one–third of this responsibility falls in the
hands aquatic fish farming. Aquaculture holds the potential to be a highly sustainable way to solve
this problem, yet, there is much hesitance in making his decision facing the future of our nation
(White). In the Struggle to Govern of The Commons, the protection of fisheries, and problems
associated with pollution crossing national borders is specifically discussed (Dietz). With these
corresponding ideas, I found my way into researching fishing restrictions and how they impact the
American fishing industry. The United States holds a six–percent share in global trade, and also
persists as the sixth largest supplier of fish and seafood products in the world market. ("U.S. Fish
and Seafood Exports Reach Record Levels.") This industry is growing at a significant rate;
therefore, it is vital to monitor what is occurring in this business and how it affects other aspects of
American life and culture.
Further inside fishing commerce, Thomas Dietz, Elinor Ostrom, and Paul Stern came together from
their distinctive proficiencies of sociology and the environment, economics, and the academics of
science in order to offer an 80% decline rate in the world 's largest predatory fishes, due to threats

WILD FISH CONSERVANCY, Plaintiff, v. UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL

C08–0156–JCC
April 28, 2010
Facts of the Case:
Wild Fish Conservancy v. United States Environmental Protection Agency is it a citizen suit brought
against the Agency in which the Plaintiff believes, regulations passed by the EPA and the National
Marine Fisheries Service that make salmon farms in Puget Sound not liable to general sediment–
management standards breaches on the Endangered Species Act and the Clean Water Act. Because
the Plaintiff argues that both the Clean Water Act and the Endangered Species Act were violated,
there are a couple of Act provisions relevant to the case. Under the Clean Water Act, the EPA is
required to review state water quality standards. In regards to the violation of the Clean Water Act,
The plaintiff points out that the standards imposed by the 1995 amendments to the regulations on
marine sediment proposed by WA Department of Ecology and passed by the EPA (1991) adversely
affected wild salmon populations (which as a result violates the Endangered Species Act.) The
Plaintiff argues that both the EPA and the Fisheries Service failed to take into account "the best
scientific and commercial data" in their informal interagency consultation of the regulations––
specifically mentioning the EPA and Fisheries Service's decision to ignore facts that verify the
negative effects that sea lice have on wild salmon. The EPA and Fisheries Service claim that they

The Importance Of Hunting Good For The Environment
Hunting is good for the environment because it helps keep habitats healthy through conservation.
Due to conservation people are able to rebuild herds of wild game animals up to numbers they have
never been before. When in the early 1900's some of the herds were virtually extinct. Before
conservation began in the 1900's the number of wild game animals were decreasing rapidly. By
hunting animals, hunters regulate the herd populations so that the herds do not destroy their own
habitats. A helpful management tool, helps keep balanced wildlife populations with what the land
can support, limits disease outbreaks and crop damage (Robinson, 2017).
Theodore Roosevelt was an avid hunter who created the National Forest Service. By doing this he
made it possible for all Americans to hunt and enjoy hunting experiences. Hunting is good for the
environment because it allows families to connect to nature and eat fresh lean meat. 371 million
dollars a year is raised from people buying firearms, ammunition, archery equipment, and that goes
to conservation which helps keep animal habitats stable. Hunter's keep species in check, they keep
herd numbers healthy from disease and predators. Animals left unchecked are more prone to
diseases, starvation, and over populations. Over populations can destroy animal habitat such as:
food, water, and shelter (Service, 2017).

The Overfishing Of Our Oceans
Overfishing
The ocean makes up nearly three–quarters of the planet 's surface and contains about eighty percent
of the life on earth. Millions of people all over the world depend on seafood heavily as a primary
source of food. Americans alone consumed as much as 15.8 pounds of seafood per person in 2009
(NOAA). This is a lot of fish. In fact, it is so much that many populations of fish are going extinct.
At this particular rate according to National Geographic, scientist predict that the earth is expected
to lose all of its current fisheries by the year 2048 (Roach). The overfishing of our oceans leads to
unmanageable practices that will eventually cause many species of fish to become extinct.
According to National Geographic, overfishing dates back to the 1800s when humans killed off
massive amounts of whale population to retrieve blubber for lamp oil (Roach). Similarly, Atlantic
cod, herring, and California 's sardines, were also fished to the brink of extinction by the mid–1900s.
Theses cases were extremely harmful to the ecosystems food chain. To counter these losses, the
United States passed the Magnuson–Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (NOAA).
This law made it illegal for foreign countries to fish within 200 nautical miles of the United States
shoreline. This would make it easier to manage illegal fishing. Congress also established eight
regional councils with representation from the coastal states and fishery stakeholders. Their jobs

Answer the following: a. What would shoppers see when they shopped in Wal–Mart and the other
"big box" stores that sell so many imported items? If the government enacted a special tax on
imported clothing making the selling price equal to the selling price of clothing made in the United
States, shoppers would see imported items with much higher prices in discount stores. If the prices
of clothing made in sweatshops and in the United States were comparative, shoppers would consider
the trade–offs and opt to buy clothing made in the United States for higher quality, loyalty to United
States workers, and the health of our economy (Mankiw, 2011, p. 4). Wal–Mart and "big–box" stores
that sell so many imported clothing items would see a decrease in sales. Shoppers would choose to
buy clothing at stores that sell clothing made in the United States. These stores would see an
increase in sales. b. Would this tax policy have a better effect, worse effect, or no different effect on
American workers than the legislation banning the imports discussed in question 1? What kind of
effect would the tax have on the Asian workers? Trade between two countries can make each
country better off (Mankiw, 2011, p. 10). Third–world countries with sweatshops have a
comparative advantage in producing clothing at a lower opportunity cost (Mankiw,

Eating Raw Fish
The idea of eating raw fish sickens the majority of people in the United States, but in Japan, sushi is
considered a delicacy that takes several years to perfect. Some professional chefs have had ten years
of schooling to learn how to properly prepare sushi. They start with the basics, like how to properly
produce sticky rice – the rice used in sushi – and how to slice the fish so there is the perfect amount.
The reason why the amount of schooling is so long is due to the fact that the aspiring chefs learn
every little detail about making and presenting sushi. The presentation of the sushi is just as
important to them as how it tastes. All food is presented perfectly; some restaurant owners use
plastic food, that they have placed in a display window, to entice people to come into their
restaurant. The history of sushi is full of mystery, it's true origin is completely unknown. Sushi has
become very popular in the United States over the years. It started in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles and
grew into a nationwide treat, with sushi bars popping up all over the United States. There are health
benefits to eating sushi when it is professionally made; however, when made at home, individuals
are faced with several health concerns. All concerns stem from consuming raw fish, making it
imperative to do research on the side effects of the fish before preparing it. The myth that all sushi is

The Sports of Fishing Essay
The Sports of Fishing
Fishing, or angling, is the sport of trying to catch fish with a rod, reel, line and baited hooks. The
sport goes back thousands of years, and it appears that fishing techniques were already quite
advanced at a very early date. In the Stone Age, hooks made of both bone and stone were used to
catch fish, but spearing, a more primitive method, was probably just as common. An engraving from
an ancient Egyptian tomb shows that all four methods of fishing–that is, with spears, nets, rods, and
lines–were in use as early as 2000BC. The Ancient Greek Poet Homer, Writing in about 800BC, also
refers to the bronze hooks and horse–hair lines used by anglers. A very old fishing hook found in

A reel may hold up to or more than 100 feet a monofilament line, and it enables one to let out more
line while dealing with a very large fish. Reels will come in three different sorts: casting, open–face
or spinning, and a closed–face. The open–face and or closed–face are the most suitable for the
beginners. When choosing a reel one should remember that if you are left–handed you should buy a
right–handed wind reel and vice versa (Jarman, 42). Today the artificial lure is the bait that is used
worldwide; ranging from as small as 1/8 inch long and 1/90 of an ounce in weight, or as large as 14
inches and weighing up to 4 ounces. In the world of lures, there are thousands placed into three
different groups–spinners, spoons, and plugs. Spinners are torpedo–shaped lures that come in a
multitude of colors, that spin as they are pulled through the water. Spoons are just that, handleless
metal spoons that wobble as they dart through the water imitating the movement of small fish. Plugs
are imitation plastic fish that vary in size and shape. When choosing a plug one needs to keep in
mind that the one with the most color and glamour may not be the one that attaches and catches the
fish (Jarman, 48). Fishing with plugs is the most fun from my experiences, because watching the
lure "swim" in the water is just so cool. Now another type of bait is the live bait; it uses the common
hook along with worms, minnows, and or maggots. These may be stored in the refrigerator for

Law Of The Seas Memo
Law of the Seas Memo
Marine Langreney
History
The freedom of the seas doctrine was created in the 17th century as a means to control rights over
ocean space. The doctrine assigned national rights to areas controlled by limited belts, with the
remaining being assigned as a public space, free to all nations. By the mid–20th century, technology
became more advanced and the ocean's resources became vulnerable to the innovations. Rising
conflicts occurred over ocean reserves, from decreasing fish stocks to pollution left by long–distance
boats and oil tankers. Tension was rising from Navies of powerful nations, and were now competing
for control over these resources. There was a clear demand for power and presence over marine
resources. Oceans were becoming a new area of conflict, and the freedom of the seas doctrine was
too outdated to keep up with these new troubles.
It wasn't until 1945, when President Harry Truman extended sovereignty over the entire continental
shelf extended from the United States, that other countries took note and followed. This was the first
instance where the freedom of seas was being challenged, and his success lead to many countries
claiming similar territories. Argentina was the first country to follow, and claimed its own
continental shelf along with the one that lay above. Chile, Peru and Ecuador followed, but had
claimed a zone of 200 miles. This came out of fear for their decreasing fish stocks, as they wanted to

Although the Chinese were the first to document sushi, the Japanese is given credit for creating it.
According to Tori Avey, in the article, "Discover the History of Sushi," sushi originated near Lake
Biwa in Japan over 1,000 years ago (para 4). Like many ancient items, no one knows the true origin
of sushi. In the article, Avey mentions a wives tale that contains what many people believe to be the
origin of sushi, it goes like this. An elderly woman hid her pot rice in an osprey nest as a result of
her being afraid of thieves coming in the night and take it; she found that after a certain amount of
time the rice would begin to ferment. Additionally, she noticed that scraps of fish from her osprey
nest had fallen into the rice. After tasting this odd combination she discovered a very tasty meal and
thus sushi was born (para.1). Avey continues on by noting that the elderly woman also discovered
the fermented rice preserved the fish, which allowed her to extend it's shelf life (para.1). Avey goes
on to say that the combination of rice and fish is known as nare–zushi, or "aged sushi" (para. 3). The
first form of aged sushi that was documented was Funa–zushi, funa being the Japanese word for
"Golden Carp." This freshwater fish was caught in Lake Biwa and sent through the fermenting
process, which, according to Avey, "took at least half a year to complete" (para 4). Since this process
was so long only the wealthy in Japan could

Benefits Of Keeping Marine Animals In Zoos

  • 1. Benefits Of Keeping Marine Animals In Zoos Keeping marine mammals and fish in aquariums in zoos is stressful for the fish; marine mammals and fish can thrive in captivity, but they can only do so under safe and secure conditions. These mammals should be kept in marine sanctuaries. Marine sanctuaries are a portion of the ocean where the government controls the activity and interference of humans. These sanctuaries are designed for scientific research and recreation. Fish and marine mammals are not meant to be confined to a small and unhappy environment, where humans enjoy staring at the fish's "home." The Humane Society of the United States explains their opinion in their article, "Keeping Marine Mammals in Captivity is Cruel Exploitation" that keeping these wild mammals is wrong and only for "the public's amusement." The Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums believes that keeping these marine mammals in zoos benefits the health of the fish and educates the public. The Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums makes sure education is the top priority of every worker; they rescue, rehabilitate, and release marine mammals and fish that are abandoned and helpless. Their main goal is to educate the public about their work and to hopefully release the fish back into its home in the ocean. Unfortunately, some of the marine mammals and fish are too frail and weak to be released back into the ocean. If this is the case, the Alliance members will provide a safe and friendly home for the helpless marine mammal. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Snakehead fish got their name because of their long, cylindrical body plan and large scales on their head that give them a snake–like appearance. In the United States, there are four species of snakeheads: Channa argus (northern snakehead), Channa micropeltes (giant snakehead), Channa marulius (bullseye snakehead), and Channa maculate (blotched snakehead). They prefer low moving to stagnant waters. Snakeheads can survive the cold winters and low oxygen environment. Some snakeheads are capable of breathing atmospheric oxygen and may be able to jump out of the water to be found on terrestrial land near aquatic systems. During the spawning season, northern snakehead fish prefer shallow waters with macrophyte cover (Lapointe et al. 2010). • 6. Devolution Of The Ocean The Ocean makes up 80% of the earth's body and is home to many marine life and is also a source of food. Of all the threats that are present in today's society the most alarming is the world's ocean into ecological extinction. Over the last several decades human activity has altered the oceans basic cycles causing it to go into evolution, but in this case backwards. Many factors contribute to the devolution of the ocean. Pollution, Overfishing, Climate change and many other factors. The problem is Society but society can also be the solution. The oceans problems starts with pollution from the most visible such as devastating oil spills to less visible such as runoff in rivers carrying; plastic bags, paper, plastic bottles etc. Also big and ... With new the technology we are able to catch 94 million tons a year(Earth Policy Institute 1996) of fish. The fish don't stand a chance with the evolving technology. Techniques that are usually common when it comes to fishing is when a ship drags enormous cages along the ocean's bottom and haul nets the size of football fields through the water. Every country uses this method The United States, Japan, Germany etc. but the country that outnumbers all of those countries is china."The basic fact that China is hungry for fish. As the nation's standard of living rises, demand for seafood has soared. Per capita, the Chinese eat 50 percent more fish than Americans. The country's 1.4 billion citizens eat more fish than those of the next 10 biggest countries combined....one third of the world's total––according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. " China has one of the biggest fish industries in the world, How does this contribute to the destruction of the ocean? We are catching fishes by tons, Many fishes don't get to reproduce and most of the time we leave the animals with less food for them to eat for example, catching an entire surplus of one fish may starve another fish that relied on it for food. Many unwanted fish get tangled into the cages or nets as well for example, when a ship is sailing along with its nets and cages open many untargeted fishes get tangled into the nets. "Ten pounds of unwanted fish are killed for every pound of shrimp caught in the southern United States"(Carl Safina). Not only are we over fishing a targeted fish they are also catching untargeted fish. Royal Chinook Salmon With the influx of human population immigrating to Pacific Northwest Region of the United States at the end of the 19th century, extracting the natural goods of the environment quickly became an issue of sustainability and preservation. In the State of Washington Ninth Annual Report of the State Fish Commissioner of 1898, author A.C. Little illustrates how the extractive actions along many of Washington's river systems are resulting in a major depletion of salmon species unique to the Northwest. Little's Report aimed to bring attention to over consumption of this finite resource that was not only intrinsically valuable to many people within the region but was also a very successful economic engine too value to deplete. There are so many black bass species well–thought–out as game fish in North America. For instance largemouth bass, spotted Kentucky bass, smallmouth bass, and Guadalupe Bass. Bass fishing can be a technically challenging sport and or activity due to many factors like weather condition, water temp etc. Bass fishing has been around for hundreds of years however the sport has changed a lot since it started as a sport around the late 19th century. Modern bass fishing has evolved into a big dollar industry. Part of this has to do with the fact that the sport has driven the development of all means of fishing gear including rods, reals, Lines, lures, and also other specified bait for bass fishing. Crop yields worldwide are not increasing quickly enough to support estimated global needs projected for 2050, the year when Earth's population is estimated be over 9 billion people (Alexandratos; Bruinsma, 2012). Developed nations must learn to grow more crops with less farmable land and water. By 2030, global water consumption will increase by 30% (Fox, 2013). Developing countries with access to farmable lands must double production, and overall global food production must increase by 50–70%. Global meat production must increase from 200 million tons to 470 million tons (FAO, 2009). In many areas of Africa where meat production is scarce, gorillas are being hunted as a source ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The term aquaponics dates back to the 1970's, yet its practice dates back to the time of the Mayan and Aztec civilizations where they grew plants atop rafts on the surface of lakes. Aquaponics is the result of the integration of Aquaculture (fish farming), Hydroponics, (the soilless culture of plants), and the addition of beneficial bacteria into a single eco–system. The fish, usually Tilapia or Catfish are kept in large tanks and fed a protein– rich fish food. The resulting fish waste is pumped into a tank where established bacteria growth and biofilters break down the fish waste converting it and ammonia into nitrates and then into nitrites. The nitrite–rich water is channeled through floating plant grow beds or large tubs containing a porous substrate. It is here where the nitrites are absorbed through the plant's root systems. The nitrite free water is then returned to the fish tank and the cycle continues (Ako, 2014; Hillyer, 2007). Compared to traditional farming methods no soil is used when growing in an aquaponic environment. The absence of soil reduces the risk of soil–borne pathogens (E. Coli) from being transmitted to humans. Chemical pesticides typically used in growing produce in soil based farming are non–existent in an aquaponic environment. The use of such chemicals would be life threatening to the fish in the system. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Climate Change And Global Warming A lot of attention has been focused on the impacts of climate change and global warming on forests, farms, freshwater sources and the economy. But what has climate change and global warming done to the ocean and the creatures that live in the ocean? Earth 's oceans have been contaminated with pollution and global warming/climate change. "When Earth formed about 4.5 billion years ago there were no oceans. Since then, as surface water has accumulated, the filling ocean basins have been the reaction chamber for the development of life on Earth and have played a fundamental role in the ongoing evolution of the planet 's climate(Brierly et al)." The effects of climate change and global warming on marine life can be seen through ocean acidification, fish migration, and the impacts on US fish industry. Climate change and global warming are two of the most serious environmental challenges to face Earth. Global warming is the constant heating of Earth 's surface, including oceans and atmosphere. Climate change is both the heating and cooling of Earth. Scientists have documented the rise in average temperatures worldwide since the late 1800s. "Earth 's average temperature has risen by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit over the past century, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Temperatures are projected to rise another 2 to 11.5 degrees Fahrenheit over the next 100 years(Bradford)." Increasing global temperatures are expected to disrupt ecosystems, pushing animals to ... • 16. Not So Fishy Fish Farms Not So Fishy Fish Farms Fish farms and aquaculture in the US have come under scrutiny in the past decade because people are unsure of what they are eating. Fish farms fall under the large umbrella term of aquaculture. Dictionary.com defines aquaculture as "the cultivation of aquatic animals and plants, especially fish, shellfish, and seaweed, in natural or controlled marine or freshwater environments." This practice has evolved over centuries and exploded in the 1970's, becoming the number one producer of fish worldwide over wild caught fish. In truth, aquaculture in the US provides fish that contains the same or less contaminants than wild caught fish. Aquaculture also provides many advantages over conventional commercial fishing, such as superior sustainability and consistency. These advantages cause aquaculture to continue expanding everywhere and provide many jobs for the American people. With the growth of the aquaculture industry, the US will be able to produce more seafood and reduce the amount of imported fish. While the aquaculture industry in the United States suffers from some drawbacks, it also provides many benefits, such as an increased supply of healthy fish, increased productivity, and economic benefits. These benefits outweigh the drawbacks of aquaculture and the industry should continue to grow in the future with the support of the American population. Aquaculture attracts negative attention from ecologically concerned people, which makes sense ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 18. The United Nations Targets For Ocean Sustainability 1. The United Nations targets for ocean sustainability are measurable when looking at 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, 14.5 and 14.6. This is due to that fact that the United Nations is able to create a base level in order to look at the major contributors to these issues this can be then simplified as these contributors are the human population. For example, when look at target 14.3 which deals with the eminent of fossil fuels, fossil fuels are cause by production run by humans. Allowing humans to have control over how many fossil fuels they want to eminent on a daily basis. Another example of a target that can be measurable is 14.4 as it deals with the issue of over fishing and the use of fish stocks. This target is measurable as The United Nations is able to measure fish stocks and will be able to measure them ten years from now to see if the laws put in place are positively affecting our worlds oceans. They will be able to check the harvest growth pattern that the fish stocks provide in order to catch illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. There are however targets under The Unites Nations goal that are not measurable this can be seen when looking at targets 14.7,14. a,14. b and 14.c. I believe that these goals are unable to be measured due to that fact for example in 14.7 there is no quantification in dollars or percentages as it is looking at economic benefits of developing states. When looking at the other targets they are to general and have no specific goal (i.e. date) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Through the farming process, natural occurrences such as competition for food resources, predation, diseases, climate change, and reproduction are manipulated. The farming environment is controlled and regulated using various techniques dependent on the species, either fish, crustaceans, aquatic plants, and mollusks. Aquaculture involves the propagation, cultivation, and marketing of these aquatic stocks (Swann 1992) and can also include ownership, individual or corporate, of production stocks (Goldburg et al. 2001). Within the aquaculture industry there are several categories of aquaculture facilities including but not limited to concrete ponds, trays and longlines (Goldburg et al. 2001), tank systems, Earthen ponds, net pens, cages, raceways, and recirculating systems (Ramírez–Godínez et al. 2013). The production systems of these facilities range from traditional, low–intensity sustenance to highly intensive production in man–made earthen pools, freshwater, brackish, and marine environments (Pelletier and Tyedmers 2008). The Controversy Of Seawater Banning Our plan has the United States Department of Interior banning all commercial fishing in Marine Protected Areas, and establishing and enforcing regulations for the recreational use of these areas. The practice of bottom trawling will be banned in U.S. ocean fisheries. This plan will decrease the worry of losing all our fish in the sea. We are harvesting more fish that can be replenished, so banning the practice of bottom trawling and other fishing practices in Marine Protected Areas put fish like tuna in danger. The decrease in tuna cause the marine food chain to change thus causing an abundance of smaller fish such as sardines and anchovies. The program will be run directly from the government as said from the plan. Our plan will be saving our nation approximately $250 million of discarded fish. The amount of fish we have wasted is breaking down. This plan will help to restore our marine ecosystems so we are able to have another millennia of fish to eat. Our plan also will promote the development of the Earth's oceans. According to Ocean Conservancy, "Underwater parks, called marine protected areas...allow fish to grow larger, stay healthier, and reach greater abundance and diversity. Fish thrive in these areas...move to other parts of the ocean and replenish weaker populations...We people depend on healthy fish for survival...Underwater parks hold up even in the face of disaster." our plan of increasing these marine protected areas are crucial if we want to continue to live off of fish meat. Also, Callum Roberts says that Marine protected Areas can "allow recovery of species such as corals, sponges, sea squirts, and mollusks that create complex bottom structures that blind the seabed and perform countless other vital roles such as filtering the water." the plan of expanding marine protected areas will greatly develop the ocean and its ... This fish–depleting tactic has severely impacted many aspects of not only marine life but also human life. However, overfishing is not the only problem that threatens the oceans. Some have taken the other side by claiming that pollution is the major problem of decreased marine populations around the world. This has sparked debate on which cause has affected sea creatures the most. Even though overfishing is one of the biggest causes of depleted fish populations, pollution also plays a big factor because it affects the fish's food cycle, and reduced marine populations is a big issue because fish is a primary source of protein for 17% of the world. According to the National Geographic Society in the article Overfishing – Pristine Seas, "The earliest overfishing occurred in the early 1800s when humans, seeking blubber for lamp oil, decimated the whale population". Overfishing grew worse over time from that incident, which has drastically interfered with the ocean's food cycle. It is through these three basic principles of 'conserve, protect and enhance' the USFWS is able to bring programs that both directly affect the health and well–being of migratory birds, fish and endangered species. In most cases it is through habitat protection that enables the USFWS to carry out these three principles. Haudenosaunee Analysis The path of the Haudenosaunee people is interrelated with the path of the people of the United States because the Haudenosaunee rely on the United States court system to keep as much of their sovereignty as they can and because they share the environment with the United States. To begin, the Haudenosaunee and the United States are interrelated because the Haudenosaunee use the United States judicial system to protect themselves against laws that violate their sovereignty. Throughout Who are These People Anyway?, Chief Irving Powless Jr. mentions instances where the Haudenosaunee had to go to the United States judicial system to block a law which they felt violated their sovereignty. For example, the Haudenosaunee went to court over the issue of the imposition of sales taxes in their territory. The Haudenosaunee won the initial case, and when the New York State appealed the ... Today, Chief Powless says there is not nearly that many fish in the stream because of pollution from the actions of the United States. Also, Chief Powless talks about how when he was younger he could drink straight out of a stream, but now because of pollution he is unable to do so. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the U.S. imported $20.2 billion in "edible fishery products in 2014" ("Imports"). With such large quantities of seafood flowing in and out of the country, mistakes can be made. For decades scientists have called attention to the problem of mislabeled fish. Although mislabeling fish may seem harmless, it can have devastating health effects on the consumer, and efforts to prevent mislabeling have increased. In order to combat this problem, the government should enforce DNA testing on all fish, regardless of whether the fish are imported or produced domestically. Scientists also say that the patch could possibly double within the next ten years. The patch is estimated to be the size of Texas to twice the size of the continental United States (Moore). Many systems are in practice to contribute to feedings the world's population, and roughly one–third of this responsibility falls in the hands aquatic fish farming. Aquaculture holds the potential to be a highly sustainable way to solve this problem, yet, there is much hesitance in making his decision facing the future of our nation (White). In the Struggle to Govern of The Commons, the protection of fisheries, and problems associated with pollution crossing national borders is specifically discussed (Dietz). With these corresponding ideas, I found my way into researching fishing restrictions and how they impact the American fishing industry. Under the Clean Water Act, the EPA is required to review state water quality standards. In regards to the violation of the Clean Water Act, The plaintiff points out that the standards imposed by the 1995 amendments to the regulations on marine sediment proposed by WA Department of Ecology and passed by the EPA (1991) adversely affected wild salmon populations (which as a result violates the Endangered Species Act.) The Plaintiff argues that both the EPA and the Fisheries Service failed to take into account "the best scientific and commercial data" in their informal interagency consultation of the regulations–– specifically mentioning the EPA and Fisheries Service's decision to ignore facts that verify the negative effects that sea lice have on wild salmon. Due to conservation people are able to rebuild herds of wild game animals up to numbers they have never been before. When in the early 1900's some of the herds were virtually extinct. Before conservation began in the 1900's the number of wild game animals were decreasing rapidly. By hunting animals, hunters regulate the herd populations so that the herds do not destroy their own habitats. A helpful management tool, helps keep balanced wildlife populations with what the land can support, limits disease outbreaks and crop damage (Robinson, 2017). Theodore Roosevelt was an avid hunter who created the National Forest Service. By doing this he made it possible for all Americans to hunt and enjoy hunting experiences. Hunting is good for the environment because it allows families to connect to nature and eat fresh lean meat. 371 million dollars a year is raised from people buying firearms, ammunition, archery equipment, and that goes to conservation which helps keep animal habitats stable. Hunter's keep species in check, they keep herd numbers healthy from disease and predators. Animals left unchecked are more prone to diseases, starvation, and over populations. Over populations can destroy animal habitat such as: food, water, and shelter (Service, 2017). In the early 1900s there were roughly 41,000 elk in the entire united states. Millions of people all over the world depend on seafood heavily as a primary source of food. Americans alone consumed as much as 15.8 pounds of seafood per person in 2009 (NOAA). This is a lot of fish. In fact, it is so much that many populations of fish are going extinct. At this particular rate according to National Geographic, scientist predict that the earth is expected to lose all of its current fisheries by the year 2048 (Roach). The overfishing of our oceans leads to unmanageable practices that will eventually cause many species of fish to become extinct. According to National Geographic, overfishing dates back to the 1800s when humans killed off massive amounts of whale population to retrieve blubber for lamp oil (Roach). Similarly, Atlantic cod, herring, and California 's sardines, were also fished to the brink of extinction by the mid–1900s. Theses cases were extremely harmful to the ecosystems food chain. To counter these losses, the United States passed the Magnuson–Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (NOAA). The sport goes back thousands of years, and it appears that fishing techniques were already quite advanced at a very early date. In the Stone Age, hooks made of both bone and stone were used to catch fish, but spearing, a more primitive method, was probably just as common. An engraving from an ancient Egyptian tomb shows that all four methods of fishing–that is, with spears, nets, rods, and lines–were in use as early as 2000BC. • 74. Law Of The Seas Memo Law of the Seas Memo Marine Langreney History The freedom of the seas doctrine was created in the 17th century as a means to control rights over ocean space. The doctrine assigned national rights to areas controlled by limited belts, with the remaining being assigned as a public space, free to all nations. By the mid–20th century, technology became more advanced and the ocean's resources became vulnerable to the innovations. Rising conflicts occurred over ocean reserves, from decreasing fish stocks to pollution left by long–distance boats and oil tankers. Tension was rising from Navies of powerful nations, and were now competing for control over these resources. There was a clear demand for power and presence over marine resources. Oceans were becoming a new area of conflict, and the freedom of the seas doctrine was too outdated to keep up with these new troubles. It wasn't until 1945, when President Harry Truman extended sovereignty over the entire continental shelf extended from the United States, that other countries took note and followed. According to Tori Avey, in the article, "Discover the History of Sushi," sushi originated near Lake Biwa in Japan over 1,000 years ago (para 4). Like many ancient items, no one knows the true origin of sushi. In the article, Avey mentions a wives tale that contains what many people believe to be the origin of sushi, it goes like this. An elderly woman hid her pot rice in an osprey nest as a result of her being afraid of thieves coming in the night and take it; she found that after a certain amount of time the rice would begin to ferment. Additionally, she noticed that scraps of fish from her osprey nest had fallen into the rice. After tasting this odd combination she discovered a very tasty meal and thus sushi was born (para.1). Avey continues on by noting that the elderly woman also discovered the fermented rice preserved the fish, which allowed her to extend it's shelf life (para.1). Avey goes on to say that the combination of rice and fish is known as nare–zushi, or "aged sushi" (para. 3). The first form of aged sushi that was documented was Funa–zushi, funa being the Japanese word for "Golden Carp." This freshwater fish was caught in Lake Biwa and sent through the fermenting process, which, according to Avey, "took at least half a year to complete" (para 4). Since this process was so long only the wealthy in Japan could ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
