Optical illusions trick the brain by using patterns, colors, and light to create images that do not match reality. The brain interprets visual information from the eyes to form perceptions. Optical illusions occur when the brain's interpretation does not match the actual image. Op art uses optical illusions through geometrical or organic patterns. Students will create their own op art by drawing squares then developing a cube with classmates to display multiple illusions.
