Million young persons celebrate the Valentine Day in India. It is a matter of pride for me that my countrymen appreciate the value of LOVE. Let me share my thoughts with them Of course my thoughts can't be my original as I am a product of my great teachers who thought me "love".
2. My good wishes ofValentine Day to all my
friend . Let me share a little more about this
celebration. This day is celebrated in the
name of a great patron saint of love,
beekeepers and epilepsy.
3. On February 14around the year 278A.D.,Valentine, a holy priest in Rome in the
days of Emperor Claudius II, was executed.
Under the rule of Claudius the Cruel, Rome was involved in many unpopular and
bloody campaigns. The emperor had to maintain a strong army, but was having
a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues.Claudius believed that
Roman men were unwilling to join the army because of their strong attachment
to their wives and families.
To get rid of the problem, Claudius banned all marriages and engagements in
Rome.Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and
continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret.
WhenValentine’s actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to
death.Valentine was arrested and dragged before the Prefect of Rome, who
condemned him to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off.
The sentence was carried out on February 14, on or about the year 270.
Legend also has it that while in jail, St.Valentine left a farewell note for the
jailer’s daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it “FromYour
Valentine.”
For his great service,Valentine was named a saint after his death.
4. Saints are certainly expected to keep busy in
the afterlife.Their holy duties include
interceding in earthly affairs and entertaining
petitions from living souls. In this respect, St.
Valentine has wide-ranging spiritual
responsibilities. People call on him to watch
over the lives of lovers, of course, but also for
interventions regarding beekeeping and
epilepsy, as well as the plague, fainting and
traveling.
5. Before you love anybody LoveYourself first.
Do some good deed that will earn you love of
others.
6. Love ’s notTime’s fool, though rosy lips and
cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and
weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
-William Shakespeare
7. If you love anybody and not sure to get him or
her physically don’t worry – at least you’ll
always be in love with him/ her, don’t change;
stick to it like the lover in the Grecian Urn".
Love is not alt all physical.
8. Keats thinks about how happy the trees in
the Grecian Urn must be to keep all their
leaves forever. It’s always springtime in the
world of the Urn, and every song sounds fresh
and new. He considers “ Love” "Happiness"
“Beauty “ are exchangeable words . Like the
lovers on the Urn, true lover will always be
lusting after each other. Seriously. He thinks
the best part of being in love is trying to get
your lover to hook up with you.
9. Keats says, a lover should imagine the song
he would like to sing , and he thinks this
imaginary song inside his head will be better
than anything he has heard with his ears.
That is why "Beauty is truth, truth beauty—
