The SMi Group Proudly Presents...
AIRBORNE ISR 2015 POST CONFERENCE WORKSHOP:
Holistic ISR - How to Train
28th October 2015 | 8.30am-12.30pm
Holiday Inn Kensington Forum, London, UK
“It is not the General with the best equipment
that will prevail; it is the General that uses his
equipment the best.”
This statement drives us to look for solutions which do not rely
on buying new equipment. In an age of fiscal constraint and
liability the solution to an issue is so often a refinement of process.
This workshop introduces the concept of holistic ISR training and
demonstrates the effectiveness of a fully integrated ISR system.
The workshop will specifically focus on the following:
• To understand the benefits of holistic ISR training
• To understand how a system can be employed
• To learn how to mitigate many of the pitfalls associated
with implementing an ISR training system
• To be able to assess if a holistic ISR training system is right
for your team

Airborne ISR 2015: airborne-isr.net
Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in Airborne
ISR 2015, taking place in London from the 26th-27th of October.
Within this dynamic area of operations, both NATO and its
member states continue to move forward, strengthening capabilities
through ambitious projects and fostering increased
co-operation. However, for momentum and progress to be
maintained in this information-led domain, communication is
paramount.
There is therefore a need for a high level meeting that brings
together senior military leadership, project decision makers and
technical experts, alongside cutting edge industry solution providers
to collaborate on future endeavours that will ensure information
superiority.
I believe Airborne ISR is the perfect environment for this
collaboration, hence lending my support behind the conference as
chairman.
I would ask you to pay particular attention to our conference
agenda which has been put together with great care to give you the
very best opportunity to benchmark and learn from subject matter
experts relating to the technology, training and operational doctrines
behind Airborne ISR assets.
Only through learning and networking with our peers can we
enhance and improve our ideas and execution of military projects,
I urge you to join us in October 2015 with many other likeminded
individuals to ensure you too can benefit from this unique forum.
Yours Sincerely,
Major General George Harrison: Former Commander,

  • 2. AIRBORNE ISR 2015 POST CONFERENCE WORKSHOP: Holistic ISR - How to Train 28th October 2015 | 8.30am-12.30pm Holiday Inn Kensington Forum, London, UK “It is not the General with the best equipment that will prevail; it is the General that uses his equipment the best.” This statement drives us to look for solutions which do not rely on buying new equipment. In an age of fiscal constraint and liability the solution to an issue is so often a refinement of process. This workshop introduces the concept of holistic ISR training and demonstrates the effectiveness of a fully integrated ISR system. The workshop will specifically focus on the following: • To understand the benefits of holistic ISR training • To understand how a system can be employed • To learn how to mitigate many of the pitfalls associated with implementing an ISR training system • To be able to assess if a holistic ISR training system is right for your team Mr Ewen Stockbridge Sime, Director, IAM:ISR, UK (Former QWI Course Director and Chief ISR Instructor, RAF, UK) Register online at: www.airborne-isr.net • Alternatively fax you Airborne ISR 2015: airborne-isr.net Dear Colleagues, It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in Airborne ISR 2015, taking place in London from the 26th-27th of October. Within this dynamic area of operations, both NATO and its member states continue to move forward, strengthening capabilities through ambitious projects and fostering increased co-operation. However, for momentum and progress to be maintained in this information-led domain, communication is paramount. There is therefore a need for a high level meeting that brings together senior military leadership, project decision makers and technical experts, alongside cutting edge industry solution providers to collaborate on future endeavours that will ensure information superiority. I believe Airborne ISR is the perfect environment for this collaboration, hence lending my support behind the conference as chairman. I would ask you to pay particular attention to our conference agenda which has been put together with great care to give you the very best opportunity to benchmark and learn from subject matter experts relating to the technology, training and operational doctrines behind Airborne ISR assets. Only through learning and networking with our peers can we enhance and improve our ideas and execution of military projects, I urge you to join us in October 2015 with many other likeminded individuals to ensure you too can benefit from this unique forum. Yours Sincerely, Major General George Harrison: Former Commander, Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Centre, United States Air Force Senior Military Speaker Line Up: Air Commodore Paddy Teakle, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff NAEW&C Force Command, NATO Brigadier David Evans, ACOS IS, Information Superiority, Royal Navy, UK Squadron Leader Steve Knight, ISTAR Training Manager, RAF, UK Colonel Laura Ryan, Director of Policy, Plans and Assessments, 25th Air Force, United States (subject to final confirmation) Colonel John McCurdy, Director of Research, United States Air Force Academy (subject to final confirmation) Lieutenant Colonel Jans "Muezli" Ruedisueli, Commander of the 306th Squadron, Royal Netherlands Air Force, Netherlands Squadron Leader Rob Farrant, Sentinel Requirements Manager, Air Command Capability Branch, RAF, UK Mr Rob Munday, Unified Vision 2014 Assessment Director, NATO Dr James Wood, Fellow, Cyber and Information Systems Division, DSTL, UK Mr Rob Murray, Head of ISR, Defence Investment Division, NATO Mr Ewen Stockbridge Sime, Director, IAM:ISR, UK Dr Ashutosh Natraj (MIEEE), Researcher, Computer Science, University of Oxford, UK
