1) The cognitive surplus refers to the free time of the world's educated population, estimated at over 1 trillion hours annually, that can now be harnessed through public access to online media.
2) Whereas TV encouraged passive consumption, the internet allows people to both consume and actively participate by sharing knowledge and collaborating in social groups.
3) This participatory culture is motivated by intrinsic desires for autonomy, competence, membership and generosity rather than just extrinsic rewards, and offers opportunities to solve problems and make discoveries through widespread collaboration.
The document summarizes 1 Timothy 4:7-8, contrasting bodily exercise with godliness. It states that while bodily exercise provides some benefits, godliness is more profitable as it has promises for both this life and the next. The document encourages maintaining a balance between physical and spiritual fitness so that godliness comes before bodily exercise in priorities and conflicts.
The document describes a research project analyzing questioning techniques in further education. It involved observing lessons to classify questions, developing a questioning tool for teachers, and having teachers complete a survey on their own questioning. The observations found that most questions were low-order recall questions, with little wait time. The questioning tool provides a framework to help teachers plan for higher-order, open questions and reflection. Initial feedback from teachers indicated the tool would help improve their questioning practices.
This document appears to be a work book for a level 1 English diploma from the Technological Institute of Tuxtepec. It contains 10 activities focused on greetings and introductions in English, including writing one's name, spelling the alphabet, having conversations introducing oneself, and completing sentences with pronouns, verbs, and other parts of speech related to greetings. It provides links to additional resources on pronunciation of the alphabet and basic greeting forms in English.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.
Jeremiah Mitchell received an overall rating of 5 out of 5 on his internship evaluation. He demonstrated a strong work ethic and positive attitude, completing all assigned tasks willingly. Jeremiah was respectful of superiors and peers, treated everyone professionally, and was pleasant to work with. While soft-spoken at times, he was eager to learn and improve his communication and proofreading skills. The evaluator found Jeremiah to be mature, dependable, and appropriate in all situations. Jeremiah's strengths were his willingness to learn and work on any project, while he could continue improving the error-free nature of his final work products. The evaluator was happy to have Jeremiah return in the future.
This document discusses considerations for planning plumbing work. It identifies key materials and fittings that must be accounted for, including pipes, joints, and other items. Cost, durability, workability, sustainability, and maintenance of materials are important factors to consider when purchasing supplies. Three common types of pipes - GI, cast iron, and PVC - are outlined. The document also provides instructions for creating a rough layout plan or blueprint to estimate pipe lengths and quantities of materials needed for a project. An activity is proposed where groups use their blueprint to calculate totals of pipes and fittings required, then visit a retailer to estimate the total cost.

Semantics in Visual Perception: Methodological Remarks, Issues and Perspecti...nacionalaidentitate
The document discusses methodological issues in researching the interaction between visual perception and semantics. It provides an outline of key topics including: (1) the role of psychophysics in visual perception, (2) how semantics arises from visual grouping, shape assignment, and meaning assignment processes, and (3) the role of invariants, affordances, events, and experience in visual perception and the emergence of meaning. The author argues that visual perception involves hierarchical processing from low-level stimuli to higher-level semantics and that experience holistically influences how meaning arises from visual information.

To arī
ietekmē laika trūkums, kad neatsūta pārlasīt uzrakstīto.
Būtu nepieciešams publikācijas principā radīt kopīgi (zinātniekam ar
žurnālistu), pārbaudot un precizējot rakstīto. Protams, ka laika
limits to ne vienmēr ļauj, bet tas būtu ieguvums.

24. Zinātnes žurnālista viedoklis
Zinātniekiem ir jāveido savs PR. Viņiem
ir jāskaidro, jāskaidro, jāskaidro, lai
sabiedrība zinātu, kāpēc tas ir
nepieciešams
Zinātnes žurnālistikā ir lielāka iespēja

atreferējot politisku notikumu.
