Inside 9/11 Zero hour
This documentary is a mixed documentary as it
has a mixture of interview narrative and
reconstruction. The theme or topic of the
documentary is the true events of a terrorist
attack on America.

The narrative structure that is used in the
documentary is that it is a closed documentary as
all the audiences questions are answered. It is
also a single stranded documentary with just one
narrative.
The camera work that is used throughout the
documentary are; In the interviews, the
interviewees are framed left and right and it
varies all the way through. The interviewees
are shot in either a close up or a medium
close up so that we can focus on the emotion
and body language of the interviewee. Various
cut away’s are also used throughout to make
the documentary more visually interesting.
The mise en scene of the interviews was just a plain
black background, which I think ties in with the dark
and sadness of the topic.
A lot of images where used throughout the
documentary as archive material. This makes the
documentary easier and more interesting to look at.
And will make the audience want to carry on watching.
Graphics that are used throughout out are the name
and relevance of the interviewee that appears on
screen through the interview. This is the commonly
graphic used in my opinion. It appears on two separate
lines and is in a simple white font.
A lot a different types of editing is used all the
way through the documentary. This again
makes the documentary visually interesting.
Archive material such as still images where
edited so that they move on screen. Also parts
of the documentary speed up, slow down and
go in and out of focus.
Lastly, for sound a voice over is used
throughout of a male he speak with an
American accent as the tragedy occurred in
America. Also the sound of a crowd of people
is played when the narrator is talking about
the terrorists getting through the airport.
Along with a lot of sad dark and slow music
which connotes and ties in with the dark and
sad subject of events.
