Baninia came to Australia as a refugee from Iraq with her family about 3 years ago. She struggled at first with not understanding English and found learning the language to be the biggest challenge when she arrived. Over time, with help accessing services like schools and Centrelink, her English improved which allowed her to make friends and enjoy her new life in Australia.
