The document describes the experience of an immigrant arriving in Australia from another country 4 years ago. 1. How long have you been Australia? I been in Australia for 4 years.

2. Did you or your family come to Australia as refugees? Only my father came as refugees but we came as immigrant.

3. How did you come to Australia from your home country? I came to Australia by the air plane.

4. How did you feel when you first arrived in Australia? Describe what it was like. The first day I came to Australia I felt very bad because I didn’t know any one second thing I didn’t know how to speak their language and I didn’t know what to do or where to go.

5. What did you find difficult when you arrived? I found everything difficult such as language place food friends etc…

6. What information were you given when you arrived? I gave information about the Education and to have better life in Australia .

7. What things were hard to find out? The language and some of the Australian people didn’t like us because we are muslim and muslim people wear hijab or scarfe .

8. What other things did you need or want to know? I need help with my English and I wanted to know The history about aboriginal and Aussies.

9. How did you find the answers to these? I found all these answer from my brother.

10. How could the experience have been better for you? Its been more better for me because back in day I couldn’t speak English didn’t have friends but now I have a lot of friends family and I understanding others and get lone with Australian people.

11. What advice would you give to other new migrants and refugees? I would tell them to learn English first and should respect the law of Australian Government and should work hard or study!

12. How can we help them settle? We could Help them with their language to communicate with others and show them the place that they never been before.
