The story is about a cat named Zazar who is afraid of the dark and can't sleep at night. He asks Mr. Sun for help, who gives Zazar a sunbeam to use as a night light. The sunbeam breaks into sparkles that form stars. When the light from the stars is still not enough, Mr. Sun gives Zazar another sunbeam that he puts in a balloon. The balloon flies up and becomes Miss Moon, providing more light for Zazar at night so he is no longer afraid.

2. Zazar can’ t sleep at night.
He doesn’t like the dark.

3. Zazar looks at the
sky.The sun is rising.

4. Zazar
speaks to
Mr Sun.
“Can you
hear me,
Mr Sun
Can you
see me?”

5. “ l can hear you and l can see you!
What do you want?” says Mr Sun

6. “No. l’ m sorry, l
can’t!”
“But I can give
you one of my
sunbeams….”
Says Mr Sun.

7. “Here you are, Zazar!” says Mr Sun.
“Thank you, Mr Sun” says Zazar.

8. Zazar jumps
up to take
the sunbeam.

9. The sunbeam
breaks into
small
sparkles.
The sparkles
go up into the
sky….and
form stars.

10. The light is not enough.
Zazar is afraid!

11. Mr Sun gives another
sunbeam to Zazar.
Zazar puts the sunbeam
into a balloon.

12. The balloon flies up into the sky

13. and says:
“Hello
I’m Miss Moon”.

14. “Hello, Miss Moon! I’m Zazar”
says the cat.
I’s a wonderful night!

15. The moon and the stars are shining.
Zazar can go out now. He is very happy.
That’s why cats go out at night.

16. They walk on roofs and miaow
to the moon
