Zawisza Czarny was a Polish knight and nobleman born in 1370 who was renowned for his bravery, strength, and invincibility in tournaments. He was loyal to the Polish king and protected him, taking part in important battles like the Battle of Grunwald against the Teutonic Order. Zawisza was known for his virtue and helping the weak, becoming a folk hero renowned for his reliability and loyalty to the point that there is a Polish saying about relying on someone as much as Zawisza. He died in 1428 while serving in Serbia.
