2. Introduction
High blood pressure is expected to cause 7.5 million (12.8% of all causes
of death) deaths per year. More than 50 percent of the patients do not
have a clear concept about the treatment of high blood pressure.(1)
There is a need to control hypertension and prevent its complications
through effective community interventions. (2)
Physicians were encouraged to follow national hypertension treatment
guidelines and were provided with a range of patient education
materials to evaluate the effect of the intervention on cardiovascular
risk factors. Applied approaches of health education to the general
population as a component of public health and clinical practice can
help prevent blood pressure from increasing. (3)
