Yunus Vally has worked as a creative/art director in television, film, print, art, photography, political archivist, heritage, social communication
and research since 1985. he has over twenty years experience in Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, amongst others.
In 2014/15, he researched and directed “Art, Democracy & the City” a 10 minute documentary, for the City of Johannesburg.
Looking at 21 years of the Arts Alive Festival and democracy. Shot & edited segments for the Goodman Gallery, William kentridges
“Refusal Time” Willem Boshoff, Kendel Geers and The Brother Moves On. Our City title sequence for Cape Town TV, Social Media Week Joburg
2014. Currently designing an exhibition for The Mineworkworkers Investment Company’s “20 years Celebration” and the United Front social
movement branding. Symmetri Consulting branding work. Standard Bank documentary 3 minute Africa trailer. He has developed and de-
signed award winning television, heritage, publications & cultural projects for various oragnisations and television brands, i.e INPUT, Gaz’lam,
Sophiatown, Take 5, Zola 7, Scamto Groundbreakers, The Molo Show, LoveLife, Takalani Sesame, The Wedding Show, Get Real., etc.

Behavioral change campaign: Development of a new Transnet
Culture. An internal values charter development process and
promotional campaign, over an 18 month period, was aimed
at articulating behaviours that would translate into a new and
positive corporate culture that all employees could commit to
and encourage.
KZN Premier’s Building
Content Development, Design, Production and Installation
Developed a conceptual approach to the restyling and refur-
bishment of the building. Work included the fabrication and in-
stallation of exhibitions, external and interior design as well as the
programming for the Premier’s Office in KwaZulu-Natal.
ZOLA 7
acclaimed prime time series for SABC 1 now in it’s fourth season.
Hosted by , Zola, Zola 7 remains SABC 1’s flagship prime time fac-
tual property
CHOICE
Prime time edutainment series for the South African youth deal-
ing with the choices young people face. Developed as a televi-
sion vehicle for the Department of Health, the series has enjoyed
two seasons on SABC 1. Selected for INPUT 2007, Switzerland.
TAKALANI SESAME
– is a critical intervention in the Early Childhood Development
and is now one of the best recognized education brands in
South Africa. The series was originally commissioned by Sesame
Workshop in New York in 1998 and remains a flagship of SABC
Education. The series has won a number of international awards
including a Japan prize and a Peabody.
TAKE 5 – daily, hour-long youth life-skills programme commis-
sioned by SABC Education, reaching two million young South
Africans every week.
MOLO SHOW – SABC Education life-skills series for younger (9-13)
viewers.
GET REAL – award-winning prime-time youth series for SABC Edu-
cation, now in its fifth session and delivering ratings higher than

Scope brand and corporate identity, Above the
Line advertising, Public Relations and Tourism prod-
uct marketing.
BRICS CABLE project, i3 Africa, Imphandze - Sub-
tel Services. This is a South African Entrepreneurial
initiative lead by Andrew Mthembu, Chairman of
both i3 Africa and Imphandze. Building the WACS
project to establish a Development Bank for BRICS
countries to lay optical cable from south to south.

Yunus was the designer and curator of 150 - MEM-
ORY STRUGGLE DEMOCRACY, an audiovisual video
design on Indentured labour in South Africa, Gan-
dhi, passive resistance, the History of Sugar, Alcolo-
hism and the highest rate of suicide in this period of
the British Empire. The exhibition was commissioned
by the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation and The Con-
sulate General of India in Johannesburg

South African University Vice-Chancellor’s Associa-
tion (SAUVCA)
Interactive CD rom developed to assist young
adults with sexual behaviour decision making
Albert Luthuli and Nelson Mandela Museum
commissioned by the Albert Luthuli museum in
Groutville, Natal and the Nelson Mandela muse-
um, Umtata, Eastern Cape to develop two perma-
nent exhibitions commemorating the 40 year an-
niversary of Albert Luthuli and to celebrate the 90th
birthday of Nelson Mandela.
The exhibitions showcased the great legacies of
these two statesmen such as their contribution to
the peaceful resolution of the liberation struggle in
South Africa, their views on nation building, inclu-
siveness and democracy. The exhibition were ex-
hibited at 7 locations around South Africa.

An internal values charter development process and promotional campaign, over an 18 month period, was aimed at articulating behaviours that would translate into a new and positive corporate culture that all employees could commit to and encourage. KZN Premier’s Building Content Development, Design, Production and Installation Developed a conceptual approach to the restyling and refur- bishment of the building. Work included the fabrication and in- stallation of exhibitions, external and interior design as well as the programming for the Premier’s Office in KwaZulu-Natal. ZOLA 7 acclaimed prime time series for SABC 1 now in it’s fourth season. Hosted by , Zola, Zola 7 remains SABC 1’s flagship prime time fac- tual property CHOICE Prime time edutainment series for the South African youth deal- ing with the choices young people face. Developed as a televi- sion vehicle for the Department of Health, the series has enjoyed two seasons on SABC 1. Selected for INPUT 2007, Switzerland. TAKALANI SESAME – is a critical intervention in the Early Childhood Development and is now one of the best recognized education brands in South Africa. The series was originally commissioned by Sesame Workshop in New York in 1998 and remains a flagship of SABC Education. The series has won a number of international awards including a Japan prize and a Peabody. TAKE 5 – daily, hour-long youth life-skills programme commis- sioned by SABC Education, reaching two million young South Africans every week. MOLO SHOW – SABC Education life-skills series for younger (9-13) viewers. The exhibition was commissioned by the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation and The Con- sulate General of India in Johannesburg “Your Moves” South African University Vice-Chancellor’s Associa- tion (SAUVCA) Interactive CD rom developed to assist young adults with sexual behaviour decision making Albert Luthuli and Nelson Mandela Museum commissioned by the Albert Luthuli museum in Groutville, Natal and the Nelson Mandela muse- um, Umtata, Eastern Cape to develop two perma- nent exhibitions commemorating the 40 year an- niversary of Albert Luthuli and to celebrate the 90th birthday of Nelson Mandela. The exhibitions showcased the great legacies of these two statesmen such as their contribution to the peaceful resolution of the liberation struggle in South Africa, their views on nation building, inclu- siveness and democracy.
