the City of Alexandria. The
Summit will be held from
11-15 September 2002.

               Our Goal:
To launch a Global Campaign of Action in
        Alexandria, Egypt, so that an
     additional 500 million young adults,
     especially youth facing poverty, will
       have productive and sustainable
         livelihoods by the year 2012.

 •  There are one billion young
    people between 15- 24 years.
 •  850 million of them live in
    developing countries.
 •  153 million young men and
    women are illiterate.
 •  At least 10 million young
    people aged between 10 and 24
    years are infected with AIDS.
