Leadership is important in the success of an organization. However, in business management the right kind of leadership is transformational leadership. This is because it caters to the needs of the flowers and in the process stabilization of the organization through self-motivation and development that is all round. This paper is written in several sections, the introduction, the research problems, thesis, purpose, research questions, methodology, discussion, recommendation and conclusion. It looks at the recognition of the strength of leadership in making a company successful, it is important thatand also explores the recognition of elements of leadership through character traits, type of leadership, and the traits in that leadership that support the potential for success. By considering these three elements,Therefor in looking that the three elements a conclusion can be reached on the most importantmore impactful aspects of leadership that has have to be considered by an organization in the vision of success in implementation of strategies and tactics. Due Date: 11:59 p.m. EST, Sunday, of Unit 7
Points: 100
Overview:
Over the course of the last few units, you have been working on crafting the argument
for your Argument Essay. You will now write an argument essay that answers one of
these questions.
The essay should answer ONE of these questions:
1. Should climate change be considered a real issue or a hoax?
2. Should the United States have universal health care?
3. Should employers have access to employee’s social media content?
Each of the above questions relate to one of the issues you have already written about
in the Unit 4 Assignment: Pro and Con of an Issue. Now, choose one side of the issue
to develop into an argument essay.
You should answer ONE of the above questions in a well-thought out and developed
argument essay with:
• A clear introduction that sets up the issue, explains your topics, and ends with your
thesis statement.
• Body paragraphs focusing on one topic in support of your argument in each paragraph.
o You need three reliable and academic sources for this assignment in support of
your argument. You should include evidence that is directly quoted, paraphrased,
or summarized to support each topic. The evidence should have appropriate in-
text citations.
o You will typically want to include one piece of evidence in the body of each
paragraph, as you did in the paragraph and pro/con assignment. You are not
required to include a source about the counterargument (other side of your
argument), but you may if you would like.
• Then, end with a conclusion that wraps up your essay’s argument and leaves the reader
with something to consider about your issue.

• Include a references page for the three sources you used in your essay.
You can use the ideas from your Pro/Con paragraphs in your argument essay, but
they should be revised and reworded so that you are not just resubmitting your
Unit 4 assignment.
Argument Essay and Third Person, Objective Writing
We have probably all had to argue for a position we held. What makes someone
receptive to your argument? Normally, the audience is more willing to listen to your
position if you argue for it objectively and avoid unreasonable, argumentative tactics.
Your argument needs to be logical and fair, giving people the ability to disagree with
you.
Your argument also should be written in the third person to show that you can be
objective, meaning you use “He,” “she,” “they,” “people,” “one” and do not use “I,” “me,”
“we,” “us,” “our,” “you,” and “your.”
Instructions:
• Create an argument essay that answers ONE of the above questions.
• You should have a well-articulated argument essay with an introduction, body
paragraphs (with evidence), conclusion, and a references page.

A Two-Headed Monster?
Essay Assignment 2017
The ability of HRM to lead to improved organisational performance is contingent on achieving a fit between business strategy and HRM practice. Discuss the validity of this statement with specific reference to two HRM practices.
As a business operating in markets all around the world, we believe diversity brings benefits for our customers, our business and our people. We want a connected workforce that reflects the communities where we operate and helps us meet the needs of customers from all walks of life. Different ideas and perspectives help us innovate, manage risk, and grow the business in a sustainable way…Diversity and inclusion is part of who we are at HSBC. It is vital to the future of our business (HSBC Bank). Consider this recent organisational statement on diversity and discuss the rationale for attention to equality and diversity issues within human resource management, reflecting on both business case and moral/social justice cases.
Sociologists tend to see conflict as normal part of organisational functioning. Consider the implications of this view for the management of people within organisations, with specific reference to two HRM practices.
Discuss whether you agree with the view which sees that ‘the importance of HRM lies not in the objective reality of its normative models and their implementation, but in the… reality of its rhetoric… redefining the meaning of work and the way individual employees relate to their employers.’ (Legge, 2005: 123)
Most mainstream HRM research starts from the premise of there being a generic, universal worker. Discuss the extent to which you agree with this statement, reflecting on the factors that determine an organisation’s approach to HRM?
‘A core managerial belief appears to be that not only is managing through the payment system the most appropriate means of managing human resources, but that the existence of a payment system is also sufficient for managing human resources’. Discuss this statement, looking at the centrality of payment systems within, and the common problems faced in performance management.

Section C
Please write your essay in the blue book.
Write an informal narrative about "some" composing process of yours. Essentially, you will write a Reflective Self-Evaluation of yourself as a college writer. What exactly does that mean? It requires you to:
a. look back over a recently completed process
b. think reflectively about that process
c. critically evaluate what went well, what didn’t go well, or what you might have done differently
As the aforementioned examples suggest, reflective writing is writing that describes, explains, interprets, and evaluates any past performance, action, belief, feeling, or experience. To reflect is to turn or look back, to reconsider something in the past from the perspective of the present. So, in your final essay, you will reflect and make an evaluation of your experience in this course.
Remember, reflection involves multiple angles of vision. Just as light waves are thrown or bent back from the surface of a mirror, so, too, reflective writing throws our experience, action, or performance back to us, allowing us to see differently. We view the past from the angle of the present, what was from the angle of what could have been or what might be. Multiplying your angle of vision through reflection often yields new insights and more complicated (complex) understanding of the issue on which you are reflecting.

Professors generally look for four kinds of knowledge in reflective self-evaluation essays: self-knowledge, content knowledge, rhetorical knowledge, and critical knowledge (aka judgment). Following are ideas for each of these types of knowledge, which may be used to generate ideas for your essay. Instructor’s comments: This is a good outline Calvin and should make writing the paper a lot easier. However, please note that you were supposed to have your topic cleared by me beforehand. Since you did not check in for your topic to be approved, I took five points off the grade. I will approve your topic since it is still available. Also, the structure of the outline is not quite correct. The outline was also supposed to follow the skeleton format that was provided in the e-mailed example. Please note that the abstract and conclusion should not be written yet. If you think about it, how can you summarize a paper that is not yet written? There also needs to be an annotated bibliography at the end and at least five peer-reviewed sources need to be listed. Please also include the city and state where the books were published. I made a few other minor corrections and comments in the outline. I look forward to reading your paper. Keep up the good work.

Abstract
The abstract is on a page of its own after the title page. It is a brief summary of the content of your paper (typically 100-250). The word abstract at the top of the page is not bold since it is not a heading within the paper.
Full Title of Paper
This is the first page of the body of your paper. The full title of your paper is repeated at the top of the page. Like with the abstract, the title at the top of the page is not bold since it is not considered a heading within the paper. You will see below that headings within the paper are in bold and follow the heading styles required by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.; American Psychological Association, 2009).
This first section of your paper is the introduction of your paper. It is not labeled separately. It introduces the topic of your paper and the points you intend to make. Why is this topic important to psychology? This section also introduces how your paper will be organized, such as stating that you will review the historical background of the topic and then follow it with an overview of related current trends and discussion.
To summarize the introduction needs to be one to two pages in length. The introduction provides a brief overview of what will be covered and the purpose of the research paper.
Literature Review
This is the beginning of your literature review. Keep in mind, the literature review is not just a summary of each individual article. It is also a critical analysis of your topic supported by information you learned when reading the background literature. Your APA formatted citations for the sources of the information you are discussing is your indication of the literature reviewed.
This section will give an overview of the history of your topic and the theories being covered. It will discuss where the theories came from and how they have evolved over time. Depending on your topic, it may include comparisons and contrasts between the historical theories you are covering.
To summarize the literature review is taken in part from what you wrote in Week 3 Assignment 2. It should include at the very minimum the 6 articles that you found for that assignment. The literature review is not a copy of that material. Rather, it is a synthesis of the material you found into a cohesive review of the literature on your chosen topic.
Subheading 1 Example
Depending on your topic, you may find it necessary to use subheadings within sections of your document. For example, if you are comparing and contrasting Western and Eastern theories, you may have a subheading for Western Theories (and would change the example of a subheading above to reflect the topic of the subheading) and one for Eastern Theories.
Subheading 2 Example
Only use subheadings if you have more than one area you want to distinguish ...
Zoe is a second grader with autism spectrum disorders. Zoe’s father .docxransayo
Zoe is a second grader with autism spectrum disorders. Zoe’s father recently passed away in a tragic car accident. Zoe, her mom, and two older brothers have temporarily relocated from out-of-state and are now living in her grandparents’ house in a small, rural community.
Because the family had been living out-of state, Zoe has never interacted with her grandparents. She has challenges responding to social cues, including her name and in understanding gestures. She also engages in repetitive body movements. She is fond of her set of dolls and likes lining them up. When Zoe is agitated, her mother plays Mozart, which seems to have a calming effect. Zoe also enjoys macaroni and cheese.
Her grandparents do not understand Zoe’s attempts at communicating. Zoe does not respond well to crowded and noisy environments. Zoe’s mom is working outside the home for the first time.
Because of the move, Zoe has transferred to a new school, which does not currently have any students with ASD. Although her mom is generally very involved with Zoe’s education, she is away from the home much of the time due to a long commute for her new job is a neighboring city.
Zoe’s grandparents are eager and willing to help in any way they can.
Imagine you are serving as an ASD consultant at Zoe’s new school. Using the COMPASS model, create a COMPASS Action Plan for Zoe by complete the following tasks:
Identify the personal challenges for Zoe;
Identify the environmental challenges for Zoe;
Identify potential supports; and
Identify and prioritize teaching goals.
In addition, include a 250-500-word rationale that explains how your action plan for Zoe demonstrates collaboration in a respectful, culturally responsive way while promoting understanding, resolving conflicts, and building consensus around her interventions.

CATASTROPHE THEORY… OCCURS WHEN? WHAT DOES THE GRAPH LOOK LIKE
· Arousal: is a blend of physiological and psychological activity in a person and it refers to the intensity dimensions of motivation at a particular moment. It ranges from not aroused, to completely aroused, to highly aroused; this is when individuals are mentally and physically activated.
· Performance increases as arousal increases but when arousal gets too high performance dramatically decreases. This is usually caused by the performer becoming anxious and sometimes making wrong decisions. Catastrophes is caused by a combination of cognitive and somatic anxieties. Cognitive is the internal worries of not performing well while somatic is the physical effects of muscle tension/butterflies and fatigue through playing.
· The graph is an inverted U where the x line is the arousal and the y is the performance. Performance peaks on the top of the inverted U and the catastrophe happens in the fall of the inverted U
HIGH TRAIT ANXIETY ATHLETES… HOW DO THEY PERCEIVE COMPETITION?
· Anxiety: is a negative emotional state in which feelings of nervousness, worry and apprehension are associated with activation or arousal of the body
· Trait Anxiety: is a behavioral disposition to perceive as threatening circumstances that objectively may not be dangerous and to then respond with disproportionate state anxiety.
· Somatic Trait Anxiety: the degree to which one typically perceived heightened physical symptoms (muscle tension)
· Cognitive Trait Anxiety: the degree to which one typically worries or has self doubt
· Concentration Disruption: the degree to which one typically has concentration disruption during competition
People usually with high trait anxiety usually have more state anxiety in highly competitive evaluative situations than do people with lower trait anxiety. Example two athletes are playing basketball and both are physically and statistically the same both have to shoot a final free throw to win the game. Athlete A is more laid back which means his trait anxiety is lower and he doesn't view the final shot as a overly threatening. Athlete B has a high trait anxiety and because of that he perceives the final shot as very threatening. This has an effect on his state anxiety much more than.

Do You Choose to Accept?
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to go out and see Mission: Impossible-Fallout. As I sat back in my red-cushioned seat, accompanied by my brothers, I knew I was in for something special. The film takes place two years after two-thousand fifteens hit movie, Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation. While I had no clue what to expect, I knew I was going to be in for an incredible ride as soon as the movie began with the intense dialogue between Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and Solomon Lane (Sean Harris). From beginning to end, Mission: Impossible- Fallout delivers crazy action-thriller scenes, inventive special effects, and creative cinematography.
Mission: Impossible-Fallout is based on a story of an American agent who must retrieve nuclear weapons from an enemy terrorist organization with help of his specialized IMF team. The film was consistent the first hour with it involving the audience in the mission of the secret organization and trying to figure out the next move of the evil organization known as the Apostles. However, towards the middle of the movie it was revealed that one of the CIA agents was playing the role of a double spy and was on the side of the Apostles. The plot delivered intense action-packed scenes between the opposing groups that personally had me at the edge of my seat. Whether it was a chase on motorcycles, cars, speedboats, or helicopters, each scene had Ethan Hunt running for his life to save the world. Even though I was only viewing the movie from a comfortable movie theater, Hunt zigzagging through the traffic of France on a motorcycle had my fists clenched and adrenaline pumping. However, that was not even the best thriller of the movie. Ethan Hunt trailing Agent Walker in a helicopter with heavy rounds of artillery being fired at each other through the snowcapped mountains of Kashmir may very well be one of the best action scenes in cinematic history. Mission: Impossible-Fallout can be appreciated and enjoyed by all audiences because of its action-packed scenes that keep everyone extremely engaged in the plot.
Mission: Impossible-Fallout brilliantly illustrates the amazing special effects that serve to create the theme and style of the film. From creating bloody wounds to spectacular backgrounds, special effects are abundant throughout the movie. For instance, as Hunt is jumping off an airplane, the special effects of this scene include wind, rain, thunder, and clouds that make the film visually appealing and almost realistic. The thunder striking him as he is skydiving had my jaw wide open simply because of how incredible the illusion was displayed. In almost every fight between Hunt’s team and the Apostles, multiple types of special effects were utilized. Fighting sequences with Hunt angrily running towards Lane and delivering devastating punches accompanied by “POWs” and “AAAHs” seemed so realistic that it had me feeling queasy in my stomach. The gunfire during these fight.

Violation of Civil Rights Act in Elections
Introduction
Despite the assurance of minority voter’s rights by the constitution and the fourteenth amendment, cases of rights violation with regards to the voting process are still on the rise in the US. Minority groups are often discriminated or blocked from participating in the voting process both in ways that they can discern and through cunning plans that can involve the voting process. Some of the main reasons why minorities’ constitutional rights are violated include racial discrimination by majority races, and to manipulate the outcome of the elections so as to keep minority groups out of the political leadership structure. The fourteenth amendment and the constitution do not sufficiently safeguard the rights of minority groups during elections beca.

Zheng He's Inscription
This inscription was carved on a stele erected at a temple to the goddess the Celestial Spouse at Changle in Fujian province in 1431. Message written before his last voyage.
The Imperial Ming Dynasty unifying seas and continents, surpassing the three dynasties even goes beyond the Han and Tang dynasties. The countries beyond the horizon and from the ends of the earth have all become subjects and to the most western of the western or the most northern of the northern countries, however far they may be, the distance and the routes may be calculated. Thus the barbarians from beyond the seas, though their countries are truly distant, "have come to audience bearing precious objects and presents.
The Emperor, approving of their loyalty and sincerity, has ordered us (Zheng) He and others at the head of several tens of thousands of officers and flag-troops to ascend (use) more than one hundred large ships to go and confer presents on them in order to make manifest (make it happen) the transforming power of the (imperial) virtue and to treat distant people with kindness. From the third year of Yongle (1405) till now we have seven times received the commission (official permission) of ambassadors to countries of the western ocean. The barbarian countries which we have visited are: by way of Zhancheng (Champa Cambodia), Zhaowa (Java), Sanfoqi (Palembang- Indonesia) and Xianlo (Siam/Thailand) crossing straight over to Xilanshan (Ceylon- Sri Lanka) in South India, Guli (Calicut) [India], and Kezhi (Cochin India), we have gone to the western regions Hulumosi (Hormuz Between Oman and Iran), Adan (Aden), Mugudushu (Mogadishu- Somalia), altogether more than thirty countries large and small. We have traversed more than one hundred thousand li (distance of 500 meters) of immense water spaces and have beheld in the ocean huge waves like mountains rising sky-high, and we have set eyes on barbarian regions far away hidden in a blue transparency of light vapours, while our sails loftily unfurled like clouds day and night continued their course (rapid like that) of a star, traversing those savage waves as if we were treading a public thoroughfare. Truly this was due to the majesty and the good fortune of the Court and moreover we owe it to the protecting virtue of the divine Celestial Spouse.
The power of the goddess having indeed been manifested in previous times has been abundantly revealed in the present generation. When we arrived in the distant countries we captured alive those of the native kings who were not respectful and exterminated those barbarian robbers who were engaged in piracy, so that consequently the sea route was cleansed and pacified (to make someone or something peaceful) and the natives put their trust in it. All this is due to the favours of the goddess.
We have respectfully received an Imperial commemorative composition (essay/piece of writing) exalting the miraculous favours, which is the highest recompense and.

Time and Memory in Two Portal Fantasies: An Analysis of Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland and "Windeye"
Life is a collection of moments, and some memories last forever. Brian Evenson
demonstrated this in “Windeye,”a story of a man who faces mental challenges because of the
life-long memory of his sister. In spite of the fact that his mother insists that the sister did not
exist, the protagonist stuck to this belief until his old age. The basis of the protagonist’s
problems is the intense love and unforgettable memories he shared with his imagined sister.
A great portion of his childhood memories is centered around his sister and their exploration
of the windeye. Windeye, the corruption of the word window, is a portal that causes the
disappearance of the protagonist’s sister. The popular portal fantasy, Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland, illustrates a similar story in the same sub-genre where a girl travels through a
rabbit hole and experiences a fantasy world which chronicles her changes from naive child-
like responses to more adult-like problem solving reactions. In “Windeye,” Brian Evenson
utilizes the portal trope to develop conflict and outcomes while exploring the themes of time
and memory. In both stories, the use of the portal trope creates a distinct world that is
separate from reality; however, the outcomes are different, and ultimately, Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland presents the theme of growth while “Windeye” explores time and memories.
The use of time factors allows the reader to travel back to the origin of the story in “Windeye” and experience the beginning of the central conflict. It is in his past that the
protagonist develops strong childhood memories of a sister, which is the cause of his future
mental challenges. In the present, the narrator is old and rickety as he uses a cane to walk but
is still reminiscent of the past (Evenson). He holds firm to the belief that he might have a
chance of meeting his sister again and thus contemplates the future and the sister’s
appearance. The plot of “Windeye” is composed of distinctive life moments: the past, the
present, and the future, which offer a clear and complete description of the events. The theme
Zhou 2
of time allows the reader to understand why the protagonist profoundly feels that his sister exists. In essence, it is time travel that gives the story a picture of the events that lead to the current situation.
The portal fantasy is a fictional literary device where a character enters into a
fantastical world through a portal or a hole. In Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Carroll
uses a rabbit hole as a physical portal to move through time. Comparably, Evenson utilizes
the windeye, a window that can only be seen from one side, as a physical portal. When the
sister touches the windeye, her brother believes that she enters into another reality through
the portal as Alice does. In contrast, the protagonist also experiences a new reality as he is.

Comparing Gas-Powered Cars and Electric Cars
Electric cars have become increasingly popular in the past century. These cars use
electric motors instead of conventional gasoline engines. Electric cars pollute less and utilize
energy more efficiently than gas-powered vehicles; therefore, modern research is focusing on
improving electric vehicles, such as increasing the storage capacity of the batteries. This essay
seeks to identify the differences and similarities between the two types of cars focusing on their
performance, price, and convenience.
An electric car is a car that is primarily powered by electricity. The conventional gas-
powered cars require diesel or gasoline to power the engines. These cars have gas tanks that store
fuel and the engine converts the gas to the energy that powers the motor. Similarly, electric cars
have batteries, or fuel cells that store and convert electricity to energy used to propel electric
motors (What Are Electric Cars?). Four components present in electric cars distinguish it from
the gas-powered cars (Alternative Fuels Data Center: How Do All-Electric Cars Work?). The
first is the charge port. Since electricity powers an electric car, there has to be a port to connect
to an external power source when charging the battery. The second is an electric traction motor
that propels the vehicle. The third is a traction battery pack. This battery serves the same purpose
as the gas tank; thus, it stocks electric power to propel the motor. The forth is a direct current
converter. This component converts the current to low voltage power that is needed to power the
electric engine.

You need to watch the panapto session for this paper assignment and FOLLOW the instructions I give there. Your topic sentence must follow the patterns set forth by your thesis. So, this first paragraph must have a topic sentence about GAS POWERED cars and PRICE. That is what you have set forth in your thesis. Watch the panapto session. And ask me questions if you do not understand what I mean.

No, you cannot 'announce' what your essay will do. And this is NOT the thesis I approved. What I approved:"Both gas-powered cars and electric cars are now in use, but their price, performance and convenience may vary, which may influence people's decisions about which type to use."
Zhang 2
Differences between gas-powered cars and electric cars
The initial purchase price of an electric car is much higher than that of a gas-powered car.
Consumers intending to own a vehicle have the option of buying or leasing. The initial cost of a
car depends on an individual's disposable income and savings. Knez et al. noted that "When it
comes to financial features, the most important thing seems to be the total price of the vehicle"

Professors generally look for four kinds of knowledge in reflective self-evaluation essays: self-knowledge, content knowledge, rhetorical knowledge, and critical knowledge (aka judgment). Following are ideas for each of these types of knowledge, which may be used to generate ideas for your essay. Choose only a few of the questions to respond to, questions that allow you to explain and demonstrate your most important learning for the course.
You may write about your composing process for academic papers or creative genres or a combination of both. Reflect as thoroughly as possible upon your writing process and explain it. Your narrative should include whatever you DO when you write, as well as whatever you DO when you compose. Composing should be understood in the broad sense, i.e. composing goes on in your mind when you are cleaning your refrigerator, mowing your grass, etc. It also occurs when you are researching, taking notes, or procrastinating. In essence you are NEVER NOT composing something. So the key to your reflections is to include everything you do that makes a difference in your writing, from having to use a certain pen, to listening to music or sitting in the library. Both your formal and informal processes impact the way you produce a written work, if you use a formal method of note taking or outlining, if you compose on the computer or with pen and paper explore any and all of these activities that are helpful to you in your process. Explore all possible aspects that apply. This is a useful exercise for now and for you to revisit and revise in the future .

Identify the personal challenges for Zoe;
Identify the environmental challenges for Zoe;

Consumers intending to own a vehicle have the option of buying or leasing. The initial cost of a

Reputation by Taylor Swift
After Taylor Swift fell into disrepute, she was truly reborn. As a creative singer
who reveals a lot of real life emotions and details in her works, she constantly refines
and shares her emotional connection with her audience. In her new album, people find
resonance in her work, connect it with their own lives. "Reputation" is not only the
original efforts of Taylor Swift, but also means that she turned gorgeously and
dominated. This album is like a swearing word from her to the world. Revenge fantasy,
sweet love, painful growth... all the good and bad things that happened in these stages
of life, her music seems to have gone through with us all over again.
But last August, the now 28-year-old singer declared that "the old Taylor is
dead" in her eerie single "Look What You Made Me Do," the beginning of a new era for
Swift (Weatherby). The disclosure of the society, the accusations of rumor makers,
these straight-forward lyrics shred the ugly face of those unscrupulous people. Taylor
Swift did not endure the rumors in the society, but created this rock album after the
silence. If 1989 is still what Taylor hopes to gain the understanding of the public, this
album is really a matter of opening up the past concerns, saying goodbye to the past
as well as being a true Taylor Swift. No longer caring about the so-called "reputation ",
preferring to be burned to death by those ridiculous "images." This air of newfound
jadedness is one of the many ways in which Swift broadcasts her long-overdue loss of
Zhang 2
innocence on “Reputation,” an album that captures the singer during the most
turbulent but commercially successful period of her career. (Primeau)
The cover is black and white, the picture is Taylor's head, and the side is the
newspaper's article and title words. The cover of the album may be a metaphor, it
reveals that Taylor can no longer stand the report of the gossip media, and the chain on
the neck represents depression and breathlessness. The theme and style of the album
are all refined from their own lives. The emotions and themes interpreted in her songs
make the audience feel more deeply that her album is her life. Without even using any
real words, fans can surmise what this means — a reference to the endless headlines
and stories the singer has spurred in recent years. (Primeau) Reputation, come to diss
the past and all opponents.
The lyrics and MV are full of real stalks in Taylor Swift's life , with Taylor's
resentment for circles and industry since his debut. In the era of streaming singles, she
is the rare young star who still worships at the altar of the album, an old-fashioned
instinct that serves her surprisingly well. (Battan) "Look What You Made Me Do" is a

Executions Should Be Televised
Earlier this month, Georgia conducted its third execution this year. This would have passed relatively unnoticed if not for a controversy surrounding its videotaping. Lawyers for the condemned inmate, Andrew Grant DeYoung, had persuaded a judge to allow the recording of his last moments as part of an effort to obtain evidence on whether lethal injection caused unnecessary suffering.
Though he argued for videotaping, one of Mr. DeYoung’s defense lawyers, Brian Kammer, spoke out against releasing the footage to the public. “It’s a horrible thing that Andrew DeYoung had to go through,” Mr. Kammer said, “and it’s not for the public to see that.”
We respectfully disagree. Executions in the United States ought to be made public.
Right now, executions are generally open only to the press and a few select witnesses. For the rest of us, the vague contours are provided in the morning paper. Yet a functioning democracy demands maximum accountability and transparency. As long as executions remain behind closed doors, those are impossible. The people should have the right to see what is being done in their name and with their tax dollars.
This is particularly relevant given the current debate on whether specific methods of lethal injection constitute cruel and unusual punishment and therefore violate the Constitution.
There is a dramatic difference between reading or hearing of such an event and observing it through image and sound. (This is obvious to those who saw the footage of Saddam Hussein’s hanging in 2006 or the death of Neda Agha-Soltan during the protests in Iran in 2009.) We are not calling for opening executions completely to the public — conducting them before a live crowd — but rather for broadcasting them live or recording them for future release, on the web or TV.
When another Georgia inmate, Roy Blankenship, was executed in June, the prisoner jerked his head, grimaced, gasped, and lurched, according to a medical expert’s affidavit. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Mr. DeYoung, executed in the same manner, “showed no violent signs in death.” Voters should not have to rely on media accounts to understand what takes place when a man is put to death.
Cameras record legislative sessions and presidential debates, and courtrooms are allowing greater television access. When he was an Illinois state senator, President Obama successfully pressed for the videotaping of homicide interrogations and confessions. The most serious penalty of all surely demands equal if not greater scrutiny.
Opponents of our proposal offer many objections. State lawyers argued that making Mr. DeYoung’s execution public raised safety concerns..

The document is a reflective essay written by Jiawen Zeng about improving their writing skills during their English 3001 writing proficiency course over 10 weeks. The essay discusses the most serious problems Zeng previously faced with their writing, including issues with grammar, verb tenses, and content quality. It describes Zeng's initial strategy of only focusing on highlighted mistakes, but then realizing this was not enough and starting to read more books in English and write more diverse essays. The essay reflects on Zeng meeting the university's writing requirements being just the beginning, and the need to continue improving editing skills and focusing on content, evidence, and meeting further targets.

This document summarizes a lecture on the social organization of Hindustani music. It discusses key terms like gharana (musical lineage), khandan (musical family), and the distinction between soloists and accompanists. Socially, soloists came from higher castes than accompanists. Musically, the performance structure involved a soloist leading with accompanists following. Over time, accompanists gained more prominence and independence, filling important musical roles and occasionally challenging the traditional hierarchy. Lineage and pedigree (gharana/khandan) became important for musicians' social and musical identities.

Sentence Structure:
I noticed some issues regarding comma splices in your essay. A
comma splice is a special type of run-on sentence where the
comma separates two independent clauses. You can revise a
comma splice one of three ways:
Here is a comma splice:
· The rain fell, I reached for my umbrella.
Here are the revisions:
· Period: The rain fell. I reached for my umbrella.
· Semicolon: The rain fell; I reached for my umbrella.
· Add a coordinating conjunction: The rain fell, so I reached for
my umbrella.
The revision technique you use is up to you!
Here is an example from your essay:
· Consider the Starbucks case, when he ran the company in
1987-2000, it was successful in growth.
How can you revise this comma splice?
Grammar & Mechanics:
Your sentences often lack commas to properly separate
2. nonessential elements from the rest of the sentence. A
nonessential element is a word or phrase that isn’t needed to
make the sentence complete. An interrupting element appears in
the middle of the sentence and needs to be enclosed by commas.
Here is an example:
· In fact at school I do well academically.
There are two nonessential elements. One is introductory and
the other is interrupting. Can you spot them?
Here is the revision:
· In fact, at school, I do well academically.
The commas successfully separate the elements.
Here is a sentence from your essay:
· However, in business management the right kind of leadership
is transformational leadership.
Where is the nonessential element? Where should the comma
go?
Documentation:
Per your assignment description, you are using APA to format
your paper and style your citations. According to APA
guidelines, citations should include the author’s last name and
the year of publication. The page number should be included if
the citation is quote. For paraphrased citations, the page number
is optional.
Here is a sample citation:
· According to Frankel (2010), the heroine’s journey differs
from the hero’s journey.
Do you see how the signal phrase puts the year of publication in
parentheticals?
Here is a citation from your text:
· According to Schultz, a leader from Starbucks Corporation, it
is often one of the things that make people entitled and often
the cause of or failure.
How can you revise this citation? What’s missing?
3. For more, refer to the chapter on APA Style in the Student
Handbook.
Summary of Next Steps:
· Revise all comma splices.
· Use commas to separate nonessential elements.
· Revise your in-text citations.
Thank you for submitting your essay for a review. I enjoyed
helping you with this step in the revision process. Have a good

6. I. Abstract
Leadership is important in the success of an organization.
However, in business management the right kind of leadership
is transformational leadership. This is because it caters to the
needs of the flowers and in the process stabilization of the
organization through self-motivation and development that is all
round. [What do you mean by the word “flowers” in this
context? Did you mean to write another word? Check your word
choice carefully prior to submission.] This paper is written in
several sections, the introduction, the research problems, thesis,
purpose, research questions, methodology, discussion,
recommendation and conclusion. It looks at the recognition of
the strength of leadership in making a company successful, it is
important thatand also explores the recognition of elements of
leadership through character traits, type of leadership, and the
traits in that leadership that support the potential for success.
By considering these three elements,Therefor in looking that the
three elements a conclusion can be reached on the most
importantmore impactful aspects of leadership that has have to
be considered by an organization in the vision of success in
implementation of strategies and tactics. Comment by Orbinati,
Albert: Your capstone project should be written from an
unbiased and neutral perspective. Rather than saying “this is the
way things should be,” researchers say “this is my observation
and here’s what is recommended.”
One way is definitive and absolute, and the other is flexible and
open. The best researchers are always flexible and open. Does
that make sense?
So, assuming there is a lot of verbiage in your paper that says
something to the effect of “this is the way things should be” or
“X needs to do Y”, please change this verbiage so it is less
absolute and more open. Comment by Orbinati, Albert: This
sentence should be your purpose statement. “The purpose of this
research is to…..”
7. II. Essential Competencies Comment by Orbinati, Albert:
You have to explain, in detail, how your project met the
essential competencies you chose.
The following outcomes are the 10 Essential Learning
Competencies for the MGMT-470 Capstone Project:
1. Functional Area Expertise & General Business Integration
2. Advanced Literacy & Numeric Proficiency
3. Oral Communication Proficiency
4. Technological Competence
5. Teamwork, Human Relations & Organizational Effectiveness
6. Information Literacy
7. Problem Solving & Decision-Making Proficiency
8. Global Awareness & Multi-Cultural Empathy
9. Capacity for Lifelong Learning
10. Complementary Personal Attitudes, Values & Traits
III. Statement of the Problem Comment by Orbinati, Albert:
Overall, I need to see far more research substantiation in your
writing. The general rule of thumb is: any time, as a researcher,
you make a claim about something, it needs to be supported by
research of some kind. There needs to be both your voice and
expert voices in your paper.
Also, these sources need to be diverse and plentiful.
Try using the MEAL plan when you write. It’s a “trick of the
trade” to use when putting a paragraph together. Here’s how it
works:
M stands for main point, and is the first sentence of the
paragraph. It’s the topic that you want to talk about in the
paragraph. As a simple example, let’s go with: The sky is blue.
E stands for evidence, and is the sentence that immediately
follows your first sentence. Its purpose is to support and
8. substantiate the main point you made in the first sentence.
Using our example, let’s go with: Smith (2018) stated that the
“sky is blue because of the refraction of light off of particles in
the atmosphere” (p.34).
A stands for argument or analysis. It’s the part that follows the
evidence and is your chance to analyze what the reference said.
It’s the “your voice” part of the paragraph. Using our example,
let’s go with: While the refraction is light is partly why we see
blue when we look at the sky, there are other reasons why the
sky appears to be blue.
L stands for link. It should be the final sentence in your
paragraph and provides a flow to the next paragraph, to prevent
disjointedness in your writing. Using our example, let’s go
with: As it turns out, how we perceive color has as much to do
with the sky being blue as anything else
Putting it altogether, we have:
The sky is blue. Smith (2018) stated that the “sky is blue
because of the refraction of light off of particles in the
atmosphere” (p.34). While the refraction is light is partly why
we see blue when we look at the sky, there are other reasons
why the sky appears to be blue. As it turns out, how we perceive
color has as much to do with the sky being blue as anything
else.
The perception of color….
Introduction
Effective leadership is often emphasized in the outcome of the
team, and the performance after a project has been done.
Therefore the success of an organization in many ways is an
9. influence of the type of leadership that is presented to and the
reflection of the leadership to the behavior of the team
members. [Use commas to separate nonessential elements.
Where should the comma go?] Given this, leadership success is
not directly measured by the profitability that has been achieved
by the company but by the stability often members within the
team in continuous performance and achievement of success
with time. As a result, there is objectivity that is given in
leadership as being the influence of a person able to give the
team a purpose to be effective in their work environment.
Many times, leadership at the workplace is taken as given
without consideration o the input in the general development
and thus its drive towards performance efficiency and success.
[Proofread your work carefully for missing letters and/or
misspelled words. These mistakes and typos may seem small
and inconsequential; however, they can distract a reader from
the essay and obscure the meaning of a sentence. Try reading
your work out loud for comprehensive editing. This technique
allows you to catch more errors because you are reading your
essay slowly. For more, refer to the chapter on Editing &
Proofreading in the Student Handbook.] According to Schultz, a
leader from Starbucks Corporation, it is often one of the things
that make people entitled and often the cause of or failure.
Therefore good leadership requires that the leader is aware of
their situation and when resented with a problem they cannot be
able to solve, they will quickly ask for help and support. In this
way, there is more collaboration in working and thus a result of
one path and one goal that ensures success. By pointing this out,
the leaders point to the aspect of character development and
identification of decision making elements. Taking into account
the leaders’ character, there is an aspect of the meshing of
characters of the leader and that of the team member that is
required to produce a well-oiled machine that ensures
optimization available capacity as well as the development of
inputs that ensure success. In consideration of this, therefore,
10. there are elements in leadership that are required in order to
have definitive character traits necessary to be inspirational,
motivation and decision in the process f productivity influence
and profitability measure. [Where are the typos in this
sentence? How can it be revised?]
At the same time, leadership is only valid if there is
consideration of the all-round development process. This is
because, in every group, there are different cultures and
situation in which a person have been brought up. [There is an
issue with subject-verb agreement. The verb form changes
depending on whether or not the subject is plural or singular.
Incorrect: They has food. Correct: They have food. How can
you revise your sentence based on these examples?] Therefore
as products of different environments, there is a tendency to
have a diversity of character traits as well as a school of
thought. [Where is the nonessential element? Where should the
comma go?] In combination with this, there are different levels
of understanding between individuals hence different levels of
tolerance and responsiveness to learning, teaching, and
stimulation. As a result, there is a likelihood of chaos within a
group that may lead to poor communication or acceptance of
each other’s opinion. Therefore leadership is one of the more
centrally focused authorities that help to shape a team into
something organized and more interlinked. Therefore there is an
aspect of emphasis of the positive and reduction of the negative
that is necessary to facilitate a more positive conscious attitude
within members of a team. In order to recognize this aspect, it
is essential to understand that success is measured in the first
step by making sure that these members can put aside their
differences to work towards a common goal.
Consequently, the leader should be able to make this goal more
transparent for the team and in the process bring them together
to focus on the path and in a way develop the process of
deliberation and tactic application for select input and creativity
11. in the workplace. This in itself requires more understanding of
individual strengths and weakness and hence accommodation of
the uniqueness of an individual in the process of
implementation for maximization of the resultant outcome right
from the beginning of a project. All these are a task that a
leader should be able to accommodate together with their
responsibilities and roles within an organization. However,
these are necessary for the facilitation of development, growth,
and success in any project. Consider the Starbucks case, when
he ran the company in 1987-2000, it was successful in growth.
However, on stepping down in there was recognized struggle in
its growth as quality and experience begun to deteriorate from
the expectation that was there before (Eades, n.d). Research
Problem and Thesis Statement
Given this observation, what would constitute the success of a
company apart from its profitability is effective leadership. The
question is the determination of how are all these
responsibilities that they paly are to be incorporated in their job
description. The measure of effectiveness in their input is taken
into consideration when looking at their overall performance
within a set period and thus a factor in recognition of growth,
strategies that were spearheaded and the personal relationship
within the company. In many ways, this is a reflection of the
communication from leaders to followers and consequently the
response of that communication as part of the success of action
taking in implementing activities.
By this measure, there is a need for the consideration of how
leaders in successful companies have specific traits that match
up to their ability to be more transformational than in
unsuccessful companies. Therefore recognition of the traits in
an individual is essential in playing a role in the development of
leadership within an organization which is expected to be a
factor ensuring its success. By this account, the success of a
company is directly associated with the traits of leadership that
12. are applied in guiding its members to success.Purpose Statement
The purpose of this study is to highlight the type of leadership
that fosters more inspirational growth and development, in order
to, bring to attention the main charter traits associated with
successful leadership.
Research Questions
When looking at leadership from the perspective of application
to capacity development, influence, and growth determination,
many questions come to mind. However, for this discussion, two
questions will be investigated.
1. Is there a direct link between the success of a company and
the leadership capacity?
2. How do character traits affect the way leadership is
conducted?Methodological Approach
This study will use a secondary research approach using both
internal and external data to substantiate the research problem
and address the research questions. The resulting
methodological approach will be:
· The identification of subject domains and sources to acquire
information;
· The gathering of existing data;
· Comparing data from different sources; and
· Analyzing the data using deductive reasoningStructure and
Organization
The paper will be organized into four main sections, the
literature review, the discussion of findings, the
recommendations, and the conclusions.
· The literature review will give a summary of the sources that
have been used and the input of their investigation in support of
the thesis of the project.
· The discussion of the findings will look at the literature
review and directly associate the investigation to the question
raised in the project hence discussion on the input in answering
13. the thesis
· The recommendation will focus on the identified issues in the
research and bring to attention the action taken to mitigate the
issue identified and solution to problems. At the same time, this
section will address the implementation aspect of the solutions
for achievability of optimum performance.
· The conclusion will present a summary of the highlight in the
findings, gaps within the discussion and how they were filled,
and the importance of the issue addressed in the paper in line
with the importance of leadership in ensuring success in an
organization
IV. Literature Review (4) Comment by Orbinati, Albert:
Remember that the goal of a literature review is to review the
literature associated with your topic. This section should be
heavy with references and your analysis of these references as
they pertain to your thesis statement.
In scanning through this section, I only see two references. You
should have a new reference for each main point that you make!
Different types of leadership can be used in a company. Many
of them offer the aspect of the influence of the members either
through power, stimulation of suggestion. However, the most
tremendous and effective leadership in business management is
transformational leadership. This is because, this is the type of
leadership that is silent and offers a more integrate an aspect of
leadership through the conveyance of vision, goal, and passion
behind the working principles. As a result, it is the type of
leadership that is inspirational in fostering change and n this
way a leadership that is built on trust that the team members
have to keep (Cherry, 2018). There is a high expectation placed
on the members which in turn raised their level of awareness d
the motivation to be active through positive change.
Transformational Leadership
In consideration of this, the success of this type of leadership is
banked on its ability to facilitate the growth of every member
within a group and thus account for the individual as well as
14. group development. Therefore the leader is considered to be of
high quality in behavior and perceived working principles and
ethics which then is emulated by the members at the same time.
There is recognition of the fact that a leader in this position
supports the advancement of the follower through moral and
motivation of growth with time. There is, therefore, the
consideration of strengths and weaknesses in each member of
the team that makes it easier to capitalize on the inputs by each
member. It is through the vision, the personality, and the
strategic input by the leaders to change the follower’s
perception, expectation and often their motivation towards
fulfilling their purpose and hence performance at the workplace.
As a result, the four main aspects are taken into consideration,
the special consideration — the stimulation of intellectuality,
the motivation inspiration, and the idealized influence. In
particular consideration, the followers are offered
encouragement individually in order to foster a relationship of
each member to the leader and each other. In this way, there is
the development of communication and open channels of that
communication that it becomes easier to open up, share ideas,
and participate in the discussion, openly critic, and recognition
of the contribution. In this way, the members of the team can
uniquely participate thus a diversification of the ideas and thus
the development of a broader range of option in the problem-
solving mechanism.
In stimulation of intellectuality, there is an almost given
requisition that is embedded in this type of leadership where the
freedom of expression and finding alternative lead t creativity.
In this way, members can explore more options and alternative
ways of solving issues and hence an opportunity of learning
more from mistakes made and hence improvement with time. It
paves the way to the motivation inspiration where the leader let
the members experience their on their own and thus define
perception based on actions and what they can easily observe.
15. As a result, there is a projection of the same passion and
motivation within the members to fulfill the high expectation
that is set hence the high drive to articulate similar objectives
as that of the leader. Subsequently, there is the incorporation of
the idealized influence in this leadership where the followers’
role model becomes the leaders. In this way, there is a respect
that is gained through admiration of the leader's ideas. In this
way, there is a sense of achievability that is mirrored from the
direction in which the leader follows hence a loyalty that
enhances performance effectiveness and recognized efficiency
as elemental through teamwork. Character Traits
In looking at it from this perspective, transformational
leadership requires that an induvial can inspire future vision,
deliver and motivate, manage its delivery and at the same time
build a relationship that is based on a real understanding with
the followers. This means that there is compelling of the people
through the definition of values, capabilities, and resources
hence both management and capacity allocation. Resultantly,
according to Cherry (2018), this leadership needs for the
development of the following character traits.
1
· Self-management
· Instinctual
· Courageous and decisive
· Proactive
· Leading
· Share collective
· Adaptable
· Inspirational
· Receptive
· Risk taker
These attributes are necessary for enabling creativity,
exploration, the self-drive, definition of clarity, openness, and
influential. In this way, it is the necessary traits that will allow
16. for the leader to be flexible in the implementation of project
objectives while at the same time have power in finalization of
decision making while taking into account the overall goal
development. In this way this type of leadership influence the
ability to be quick and straight to the point having been given
the opportunity for deliberation in different ways that are likely
to given different types of input with a similar yet exciting way
of presentation (Cherry, 2018). This is diversification that
allows growth and development in different avenues hence
adaptation to change quickly.Effect of Transformational
Leadership
Based on a discussion by Garcia-Morales, Llorens-Montes, and
Verdu-Jover (2008), acquisition of knowledge is through
absorptive capacity in an organizational environment. Therefore
it becomes more comfortable when the leader exudes traits that
are positive and can be assimilated and add value to its
members. Therefore through transformational aspect, there is a
determination of the build f capacity through identification oh
which is superior performance and in that way recognition of
the capabilities that the superiority provides in term of
effectiveness of performance.
In understanding this, there is further assessment of the fact that
continuous learning occurs, and new skills are attained, and
actions are deliberately geared towards positivity hence a more
effective demonstration of the quality improvement. At the
same time, there is recognition of the optimization of
performance through slow improvement catered in the
attainment of higher value while looking at a common goal.
There is an opportunity developed for sharing, exploitation,
creation, and utilization of the resources of the team by
constructive criticism of each other and earning from each other
making it easier to have interlinkages. In this way, it becomes
easier to define the tangibility of project fulfillment and thus
storage of information that can be used for the future
development of improvement of activity (Garcia-Morales,
17. Llorens-Montes, & Verdu-Jover, 2008). There is, therefore, a
more collaborative measure in the application of
transformational leadership and its effect and the team
members.
V. Discussion of Findings RQ1: Is there a direct link between
the success of a company and the leadership capacity?
According to the transformation theory, Cherry (2018) explains
that there is a development process in which the leadership
inspires change. In this change, there is the emulation of the
behavior of the leaders by the follower making it easier to
understand the projection seen through the leader’s eyes.
Therefore the leader is within the capacity to influence change
by inspiration of positivity and motivation to be better therefore
in recognition of the vision of the organization; it is highly
likely that the leader can project the same focus to the
followers. In recognition of this, a direct linkage can be seen as
the behavior of the leader in ensuring effective performance.
There are alders hardworking, the same trickle down to the
follower and in that way a chain of events that enhance the
input in a capacity as well as time, therefore, optimization of
resources that creates the potential for a high likelihood of
success.
The same has been reiterated by Garcia-Morales, Llorens-
Montes, & Verdu-Jover (2008), who point out that organization
la learning provides the opportunity for drawing upon
knowledge while molding the team into a more self-conscious
group which is likely to grow and be self-aware of their
strengths and weaknesses. At this point, there is room left for
seeking help with one another hence cohesion that allows for
complementary and supplementary of skills. Therefore there is
an aspect of stimulation of performance maximization and
therefore all-round development that is geared towards growth
hence success. This describes leadership as a factor of
nurturing. RQ2: How do character traits affect the way
18. leadership is conducted?
In looking at the character traits, they give insight into the
capability of an individual to have the focus and the drive to fit
within a specific mold. Character traits described the person
ability to reflect specific attributes necessary to be influential
as well as tolerant of specific value necessary for
transformational leadership. Therefore it is possible that
character traits affect the way leadership can be effected on the
people. In transformational leadership, self-management allows
for the direction of others to be learned from action rather than
spoken out loud (Cherry, 2018). In this way, influence is more
potent in its impact as compared to authoritative.
On the other hand, it requires patience for alder to be
accommodating in people who require more development to
reach par with the rest of the team. It also requires patience to
be able to learn about the strengths and weaknesses of the team
members and to work on improvement of themselves. These are
character traits that have developed in the early years of growth
and according to psychology, something that cannot be easily
changed. Therefore certain character traits should be present in
an individual in order to have a particular ability to implement
specific leadership style. Therefore transformational leadership
application and the success of a company is related to the
character of that person. In a way, this form of thinking
describes leadership and a factor of nature because the balance
of id, ego and superego are elemental and often develop earlier
on in life ().
VI. Recommendations
In recognition of leadership as a factor of nurturing and nature,
it is essential that task alignment within an organization should
be based on the character of the leader. As a result, the
recommendation is necessary for proper capacity development
and recruitment to be enhanced. This can be done through the
identification of labor proficient testing that is prone to choose
19. leadership that is more likely to suit the desirable traits of a
position. In this way, the job description can be states and more
definitive with time. At the same time. Routine monitoring of
the performance in an organization is critical in the
identification of gaps. It helps in understanding which areas
need reinforcement and in that way either training or retraining
staff and in other instances creation a position to suit the
identified gap.
VII. Conclusion
Leadership is therefore crucial in the development of an
organization towards more positive growth. By this account, it
is clear the right kind of leadership is one that fosters a more
stable environment in this way. There is the identification of the
strengths within the company that can be utilized in maximizing
input. Therefore there is already a more outlook of positivity in
attitude and the resource allocation that s shown through this
aspect. Therefore since transformational leadership is centrally
focused on the improvement of quality, there is an all-round
growth and development in the consideration that it is
profitable.
