create awareness among larger sections of people in

Young People
 Young People are students, community members and other active
change agents ageing between 18 – 24 years .
- College Students from a variety of education Institutes like ISB,
NIFT, NALSAR Law University, JNTU FINE ARTS, HCU,
Government Degree and PG Colleges, etc.,
- Enthusiastic young people from the slums and marginalized
communities will be encouraged to participate
- Others who are involved in the issues of relevance and are working
with community based organizations
 An well informed call for applications will be organized at the above
said places to encourage interested young people to take part in the
project. The process will also give space for community based
organizations to nominate suitable candidates.

Projects
 Projects are the end products / realized ideas
developed by teams of young people that will give a
message / action on Sustainable consumption.
 The projects will be presented using creative arts like
dance, music, puppet shows, paintings, digital media,
photography, short stories , short movies, inclusive of
creative action ideas among various fields like law, mass
communications, social work, hotel management,
business management, fashion technology, mechanical
and other technical sciences.

Facilitation
 Facilitation : The core-team of HARD will identify and
involve rightful mentors and ngos in the project who will
take active role in guiding the selected 25 teams of young
people
 Mentors – Successful professionals and role models from a
variety of fields of expertise are already identified to be taken
part in the project. Consultations with each of them are going
on.
 NGOs – Community Organizations, which would play a
crucial role are being identified.

Hyderabad (why ? )
 Hyderabad is better off than other cities because of two factors
one is scientific community of Hyderabad which is playing a role
of watch dog and also constructive role in terms of criticism of
the prevailing models of Industrialization and Urbanization and
secondly the people of Hyderabad became alert about the
environmental issues and putting continuous efforts to create
awareness .
 However the main problem is the that there is no translation
between awareness levels and the actions needed to be taken for
implementation of the programs.
