reason of his assassination on August 21, 1983 at the Manila International Airport
or known today as the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Ninoy’s death was the reason why Cory stood up and fought for Marcos’ fall of
dictatorship. Cory was the leader of People Power Revolution or known as the
Edsa Revolution which was a 4-days demonstration along Edsa.

She pushed the Filipino

She guided that country through

political factions and
insurgents.
8. Although she had a lot of contributions to the
Philippines, she is most-known as the “mother of
democracy” for she fought hard to bring
democracy to the country after Marcos’
dictatorship. She focused on bringing a much
more balanced state to the Philippines.
