Make sure you are clear about your personal pathway Breadth and balance are healthy There is room for specialisation where it suits If you don’t get a very good pass in your GCSE science modules but want to do the three separate sciences then you will have to give up your 4th preference to allow you to study science in 9 periods not six. Make sure you tick the box Get well informed, especially about new courses List preferences in priority order Return forms on the Monday following the parents’ evening Late forms will be dealt with last. 2 back up preferences are essential Courses will only run if numbers make it viable Places on oversubscribed courses will be allocated to those who make them a higher priority If you do not hear to the contrary assume all preferences have been allocated KEY POINTS
