Here, meet the first of six entities accounted for in John's final two chapters of Revelation. Satan appears in the guise of the Dragon in Revelation 12. His behavior depicted here in John's Revelation parallels his behavior in the OT's Job. But, as Job overcame Satan in the Age of Patriarchs, the brethren overcome Satan at the other end of redemptive history! Both Job and the brethren in the Tribulation justify God's faith in their endurance on the front lines of most dire spiritual warfare. I offer this as a study in light and darkness.

Salvation as a moment's event and salvation as a lifetime of walking with Jesus. Meant as a companion to the Christian and Missionary Alliance's Statement of Faith and our Sunday School's study of it.
This presentation looks into what I shall call the striking physicality of John's description of heaven, our spiritual and eternal abode. No puffy clouds and wispy-thin vistas here. Solid cities, massive gates and very solid-sounding streets dot the heaven-scape!
The Diaspora breaks in 1948 and Jews seemingly spring from the boneyards of Eastern Europe to a national sovereignty denied them for 2000 years. What next? I think Ezekiel 38 and 39 tell that tale. The earth has a new center and it's not us, folks!
The nature and essence of the Second Person of the Trinity. Meant as a companion to the Christian and Missionary Alliance's Statement of Faith and our Sunday School's study of it,.
The covenant that God made with Abraham and developed through Moses was ratified under Joshua. In the process, God mapped out the entire history of the Jews for Moses as a prophecy. That prophecy forms the basis of the timeline along which we locate ourselves and our times as we await the return of Jesus Christ.
V. Dispensation: Presentation and ElationLenny Hoy
In Part V, I connect the previously-studied two towers of Genesis and Revelation with a timeline made up of the commonly recognized dispensations, so called. (In the movie, The Road, Viggo Mortenson son walked an essentially dark and dead-end road. Our Holy Highway starts and ends in God's grace and in the light of His boundless mercy. Take a look at the map here!)
XXVI Revelation and the 70th Week of DanielLenny Hoy
Daniel's OT Vision of the 70 Weeks provides readers of John's Revelation with a valuable timeline along which to deploy John's NT vision's elements. The events that John chronicles do, in fact, occur within the OT's 70th Week; when we call the period 'The Tribulation' we thereby impress our Church-oriented slant on things.
Zechariah 12-14 and the Siege of JerusalemLenny Hoy
Zechariah sets the biblical camera on Jerusalem in the closing days of the 70th Week. Lost in the mayhem and heroism is a critical sequence: when national Israel finally calls on Jesus as their messiah, He comes down from heaven and saves them. Does the Lord's promised return await Jewish acceptance of Jesus?
Here find a presentation and analysis of Daniel's Prophecy of the 70 Weeks. Jehovah warned Israel this judgmental diaspora, or dispersion, was coming, and, sadly, He knew the inevitability of it. Daniel draws our attention to details of duration, purpose, and content.
I attempt to describe the Christian view of the Trinity, review its biblical basis and explore the role which the Trinity serves as a role for Christian living. Meant as a companion to the Christian and Missionary Alliance's Statement of Faith and our Sunday School's study of it.
I see the Bible as having a unique internal structure: like that of a suspension bridge. Genesis and Revelation form the towers upon which the bridge's roadway hangs suspended on cords of prophecy. We'll do 'big picture' stuff like this before delving into individual prophecy passages. That way, individual passages have a useful and instructive structural connection to each other and to the Bible as a whole . . . . which is what it is, really, a 'whole'!
Here meet the fourth of six entities accounted for in the final two chapters of John's Revelation. Truth to tell, Revelation merely hints at Israel's end-times story, for it is, after all, a book written to/for the churches. The full story of the Jews in the 70th Week traces an arc of suffering that begins with seeming peace and safety and ends with God's people seemingly on the brink of extinction. Nevertheless, as Paul says here and there: "But God . . . ! How God steps in to rescue and preserve His chosen people and how He turns their hearts to His Son as their Messiah should thrill every Christian. Gives me goosebumps!
I leap back one space on John's Isle of Patmos game board! We've stepped back out of eternity and into the more-ore-less familiar realm of time and space. Revelation Chapters 19-21 stands us on the boundary twixt these two states. They offer us a chance to explore two separate states, the so-called Millennium and the Eternal State. I see reasons for making a distinction between the two and explore my thinking in this presentation.
0.5 End Times and The Return of Christ: Table of ContentsLenny Hoy
This presentation serves as a table of contents to study of Bible prophecies regarding the Return of Christ, the reestablishment of Israel in the Holy Land, the disposition of the Saved and the Lost and the righteous judgments of God.
XIV The Rapture and Resurrection in I CorinthiansLenny Hoy
Paul offers his readers frequent treatments of and references to the Return of Christ. In this presentation, I examine one of his two quintessential rapture/resurrection passages and seek to place its elements in the context of our everyday Christian life.
Chapters 14-18 of Revelations sets the stage for the Return of Jesus Christ in Chapters 19 and 20. The whole array of seven chapters sees one chapter narratively connected with the next. They proceed in story-order, from Chapter 14's Overview to the conclusion of the age in Chapter 20. Oddly enough, the most prominent and extensive spotlight falls on an entity called the Harlot of Babylon: why? WUWT?

XXIII The Return of Jesus Christ in RevelationLenny Hoy
Revelation's depiction of the return of the Savior occupies parts of chapters 19 and 20. My interest in that depiction centers on understanding why it's so brief and, frankly, so devoid of color and detail. My conclusion: John's Revelation serves as a training manual, not a highlight reel of victory parades, as wonderful as they will be. First, we have to endure and overcome . . .
After examining the promised-and-coming apostasy from the faith of believers in the End Times, you may be wondering. "Are these apostate-type people losing their salvation" and, even more pointedly, "Can I lose my salvation?" Let's examine this before we move into Revelation and really get stressed out by challenges!
Paul warns Timothy–and by extension, us, to expect that a persecution of the End Times will winnow the Church of uncommitted Christians, men and women of apparent 'faith' who are unwilling to endure suffering for Jesus. WUWT?
Paul tells his Thessalonian 'children' about a time when God shall remove the one who restrains 'the man of lawlessness". This evil entity will then flourish for a season with apparently limitless power. Bad news? No. Necessary-to-Hear-News if the Church of the End Times is to be of full service to Him. (The 'man of lawlessness' is restrained NOW? Whoa! What's the measure of dysfunction, persecution and sin going to be like at his release from bondage?)
When, oh Lord, does Your mighty hammer of Justice drop on all this world's dysfunction, persecution and sin? Paul recognizes the suffering of the 1st Century Thessalonian church and promises its members, on God's behalf, just such Divinely-ordained relief. But it's a relief that stands 2000 years distant from the suffering this church endures as Paul writes. WUWT? Get God's perspective on our suffering here!
Here's the other of Paul's two quintessential Rapture/Resurrection passages. Add your knowledge of this passage to familiarity with I Corinthians 15. Now the student of biblical prophecy can gather clues as to the 'when' and 'how' of these events and take this combination portrait into other prophecy passages with good results. With both passages firmly grasped, students of biblical prophecy can properly integrate our hope of eternal life into the routine of our daily lives.
XIII Companion Verses to the Olivet DiscourseLenny Hoy
I offer a palette of passages meant to deepen your appreciation for Jesus' Olivet Discourse's significance. And not only 'deepen' appreciation, but also clarify and underscore some seriously grave warnings and grim descriptions of the End-Time's that Christ offers His readers for consideration. This collection of related verses is well worth your inspection and reflection.
XII Olivet Discourse and the Return of ChristLenny Hoy
You have been somewhat equipped in the previous two presentations with some guidance on how to make appropriate, daily use of End-Times prophecies. Now we step into a major prophecy passage. Jesus' Olivet Discourse provides a bridge between Old Testament prophetic narratives and those of Paul and John. What does Jesus, Himself, have to say about His own return? And, just as importantly, to whom does He address the various warnings in this pivotal discourse? Is He talking to me?
Using Acts 1 and its account of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, I search for some boundary markers and guideposts for my daily use of NT prophecy. I want my study of Christ's return to be a part of my daily walk, not a flight from it. Our Lord's last words provide just such markers and posts!
How do prophecies about the return of Jesus Christ fit into the daily lives of Christians? Indeed, does interest in such notions simply distract us from our central mission: preaching the gospel and making disciples? I would like to explore essential elements about prophecy that will suggest that looking for Christ's return belongs in the very center of our daily lives.
XXVII Sequence for Seals, Trumpets and BowlsLenny Hoy
How does God intend the reader of Revelation to arrange the Seals, Trumpets and Bowls? I offer an alternative to the usual system which equates the order-of-mention with the order-of-occurrence. I share my reasons for my departure from traditional views.
Here meet the final of six entities accounted for in the final two chapters of John's Revelation. The Creation itself receives both a judgment-and a renewal- from its Creator. Terrible judgment purges and cleanses a crippled and polluted world, readying it for renewal under the rule of the Saints and the Chosen People of Jehovah. Consider the Creation as an almost-animate participant in the drama of End-Times.
You have stumbled onto a table of contents for a study of biblical prophecy through 30 or so separate slide presentations. God may have a place for my distinct and one-of-a-kind response to biblical end-times prophecy. Students of prophecy will find both novelty and challenge here. Newcomers to biblical prophecy will find I keep them rooted in God's Word and give fair notice of when and where I deal with inference and personal conjecture.
Short descriptors of each presentation accompany the listings. My prayers for their usefulness to you in your walk with the Lord precede them.
For the Christian, walking in the Spirit has nothing to do with keeping THE Law or, indeed, keeping and behavioral code to please God or validate His choice of you. We are new creatures in Christ!

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

The Mechanics of Satan’s Work
Satan has frequent access to God in Heaven (Not
citizenship, access!) in both Job’s time and ours.
Job 1:6 “And the sons of God came to present themselves before the
Lord, and Satan also came among them.”
Rev 12:9 Satan thrown OUT of heaven . . . must have been IN heaven,
accusing the brethren before the throne of God (12:10)
Satan defames Job and us before God.

and he will surely curse You to your face.”
Rev 12:10 “He (Satan) who accuses them (the brothers) before our
God day and night.”
8. SATAN, JOB AND THE 70TH WEEK:
Satan’s Purposes and Means
Satan challenges God’s ability to fulfill His promises. If
God fails at any point, God fails in all!
Job: Satan thinks that God cannot establish a lasting relationship with
fallen man! Even the best of them (Job) will fail under enough pressure.
Revelation: Satan thinks that NT salvation changes nothing in the
Christian’s selfish heart. ‘New creature’, indeed! Bah, humbug!’
Satan thinks that we believers represent the weak link in
the God-human believer relationship.
Job: I’ll oppress Job so he’ll curse God and die
Church Age: I’ll oppress believers so severely that at least ONE ‘true’
believer will reject Jesus and He shall have died for nothing! I win!
9. SATAN, JOB AND THE 70TH WEEK:
Satan’s Motives
Satan’s Pride Drives Him–here’s how he thinks:
I’m more worthy of worship than God-I do not limit my power with a
silly necessity to behave righteously. God’s weakness = my opportunity!
God dotes on mere men! He trusts them! God’s foolish obsession = my
opportunity
He Has an Intense Hatred
OF GOD: God cramps my style, hedges me in and limits me unfairly.
God’s jealous and afraid of me.
OF HUMANS: God forgives humans their folly but damns me for mine!
God plays favorites!
OF WOMEN: It’s all Eve’s fault! (See: Origins of Sin and Evil!)
