The document discusses the doctrine of sola scriptura and how believers and the church should approach understanding and applying the Bible. It emphasizes that the Holy Spirit illuminates believers to understand scripture but believers must test teachings against scripture. Gifts of prophecy, wisdom and teaching from the Spirit should be evaluated based on scriptural agreement.

The 6 step enrich version includes praying and empathizing. The acronym is U.O.I.E.A.Y. which stands for urging, observing, interpreting, empathizing, application, and yearning. Urging means urging God to make His words effective in our life starting from our studying His words seriously. Yearning means based on all the first 5 steps turn each verse into a prayer. May God fulfills upon you the words that you earnestly seek to experience. Amen.
In this book, I will share my personal experiences and journey with you en route to taking an objective, dispassionate look at religion and spirituality. I’ll explore the contradictions inherent in the world’s major religions, and then assess the alternatives, from philosophy to myth, from astral travel to sacred geometry.

0.5 End Times and The Return of Christ: Table of ContentsLenny Hoy
This presentation serves as a table of contents to study of Bible prophecies regarding the Return of Christ, the reestablishment of Israel in the Holy Land, the disposition of the Saved and the Lost and the righteous judgments of God.
Zechariah 12-14 and the Siege of JerusalemLenny Hoy
Zechariah sets the biblical camera on Jerusalem in the closing days of the 70th Week. Lost in the mayhem and heroism is a critical sequence: when national Israel finally calls on Jesus as their messiah, He comes down from heaven and saves them. Does the Lord's promised return await Jewish acceptance of Jesus?
The Diaspora breaks in 1948 and Jews seemingly spring from the boneyards of Eastern Europe to a national sovereignty denied them for 2000 years. What next? I think Ezekiel 38 and 39 tell that tale. The earth has a new center and it's not us, folks!
Chapters 14-18 of Revelations sets the stage for the Return of Jesus Christ in Chapters 19 and 20. The whole array of seven chapters sees one chapter narratively connected with the next. They proceed in story-order, from Chapter 14's Overview to the conclusion of the age in Chapter 20. Oddly enough, the most prominent and extensive spotlight falls on an entity called the Harlot of Babylon: why? WUWT?
XXIII The Return of Jesus Christ in RevelationLenny Hoy
Revelation's depiction of the return of the Savior occupies parts of chapters 19 and 20. My interest in that depiction centers on understanding why it's so brief and, frankly, so devoid of color and detail. My conclusion: John's Revelation serves as a training manual, not a highlight reel of victory parades, as wonderful as they will be. First, we have to endure and overcome . . .
After examining the promised-and-coming apostasy from the faith of believers in the End Times, you may be wondering. "Are these apostate-type people losing their salvation" and, even more pointedly, "Can I lose my salvation?" Let's examine this before we move into Revelation and really get stressed out by challenges!
Paul warns Timothy–and by extension, us, to expect that a persecution of the End Times will winnow the Church of uncommitted Christians, men and women of apparent 'faith' who are unwilling to endure suffering for Jesus. WUWT?
Paul tells his Thessalonian 'children' about a time when God shall remove the one who restrains 'the man of lawlessness". This evil entity will then flourish for a season with apparently limitless power. Bad news? No. Necessary-to-Hear-News if the Church of the End Times is to be of full service to Him. (The 'man of lawlessness' is restrained NOW? Whoa! What's the measure of dysfunction, persecution and sin going to be like at his release from bondage?)
When, oh Lord, does Your mighty hammer of Justice drop on all this world's dysfunction, persecution and sin? Paul recognizes the suffering of the 1st Century Thessalonian church and promises its members, on God's behalf, just such Divinely-ordained relief. But it's a relief that stands 2000 years distant from the suffering this church endures as Paul writes. WUWT? Get God's perspective on our suffering here!
Here's the other of Paul's two quintessential Rapture/Resurrection passages. Add your knowledge of this passage to familiarity with I Corinthians 15. Now the student of biblical prophecy can gather clues as to the 'when' and 'how' of these events and take this combination portrait into other prophecy passages with good results. With both passages firmly grasped, students of biblical prophecy can properly integrate our hope of eternal life into the routine of our daily lives.
XIV The Rapture and Resurrection in I CorinthiansLenny Hoy
Paul offers his readers frequent treatments of and references to the Return of Christ. In this presentation, I examine one of his two quintessential rapture/resurrection passages and seek to place its elements in the context of our everyday Christian life.
XIII Companion Verses to the Olivet DiscourseLenny Hoy
I offer a palette of passages meant to deepen your appreciation for Jesus' Olivet Discourse's significance. And not only 'deepen' appreciation, but also clarify and underscore some seriously grave warnings and grim descriptions of the End-Time's that Christ offers His readers for consideration. This collection of related verses is well worth your inspection and reflection.
XII Olivet Discourse and the Return of ChristLenny Hoy
You have been somewhat equipped in the previous two presentations with some guidance on how to make appropriate, daily use of End-Times prophecies. Now we step into a major prophecy passage. Jesus' Olivet Discourse provides a bridge between Old Testament prophetic narratives and those of Paul and John. What does Jesus, Himself, have to say about His own return? And, just as importantly, to whom does He address the various warnings in this pivotal discourse? Is He talking to me?
Using Acts 1 and its account of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, I search for some boundary markers and guideposts for my daily use of NT prophecy. I want my study of Christ's return to be a part of my daily walk, not a flight from it. Our Lord's last words provide just such markers and posts!
How do prophecies about the return of Jesus Christ fit into the daily lives of Christians? Indeed, does interest in such notions simply distract us from our central mission: preaching the gospel and making disciples? I would like to explore essential elements about prophecy that will suggest that looking for Christ's return belongs in the very center of our daily lives.
XXVII Sequence for Seals, Trumpets and BowlsLenny Hoy
How does God intend the reader of Revelation to arrange the Seals, Trumpets and Bowls? I offer an alternative to the usual system which equates the order-of-mention with the order-of-occurrence. I share my reasons for my departure from traditional views.
Here meet the final of six entities accounted for in the final two chapters of John's Revelation. The Creation itself receives both a judgment-and a renewal- from its Creator. Terrible judgment purges and cleanses a crippled and polluted world, readying it for renewal under the rule of the Saints and the Chosen People of Jehovah. Consider the Creation as an almost-animate participant in the drama of End-Times.
You have stumbled onto a table of contents for a study of biblical prophecy through 30 or so separate slide presentations. God may have a place for my distinct and one-of-a-kind response to biblical end-times prophecy. Students of prophecy will find both novelty and challenge here. Newcomers to biblical prophecy will find I keep them rooted in God's Word and give fair notice of when and where I deal with inference and personal conjecture.
Short descriptors of each presentation accompany the listings. My prayers for their usefulness to you in your walk with the Lord precede them.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

In conversation after church, Mrs. Wythewisper
dismisses her son’s moving in with his girlfriend’s
family (and bedroom!) with the observation that God
has given her absolute peace of mind about it. She

son about his intentions and about her initial
reluctance to give her blessing (and financial

and has received the blessing God promised to
peacemakers in Matthew 5:9. What will you say?
