1) Five common assumptions that prevent digital transformation at higher education institutions are that digital change will not affect them, the pace of change is too fast, digitalization is merely a technical issue, students are ready but teachers are not, and digitalization exceeds their budgets.
2) Digital transformation is a disruptive change process that affects teaching, research, administration, and requires leadership acceptance.
3) While technology drives digitalization, strategy is the key driver, and an interdisciplinary team is essential to developing appropriate cross-cutting strategies to overcome the challenge of digital transformation.

This document outlines recommendations for integrating Open Educational Resources (OER) in Austrian higher education. It begins by defining OER as freely available and editable educational content licensed under open licenses like Creative Commons. It then discusses OER initiatives in Austria since 2000, including a strategy developed in 2010 and a MOOC platform launched in 2014. Key challenges are a lack of financing, suitable contracts, and national strategies. The document concludes by recommending a mandatory OER commitment, information platform, educational programs, OER badges, and financial and strategic support to foster greater OER production and reuse.
The document proposes making learning more granular through using microformats to foster teaching and learning. It suggests using structures like hashtags, elevator pitches, Pecha Kuchas, and speed dating to break content into smaller pieces and encourage sharing. The goal is to support personalized, self-directed learning paths through open badges and storytelling around durations of study.
This document describes a research study using a MOOC to investigate how searching online for medical information affects the doctor-patient relationship. The MOOC asked participants to diagnose six medical case studies and complete surveys. Over 200 people participated, and data collection is complete. Preliminary results found high rates of online medical searching and a strong correlation between MOOC participants' diagnoses and doctors' diagnoses. The study aims to provide insights into the benefits and risks of online medical searching and its impact on healthcare. MOOCs show potential as a research tool but also have limitations like self-selection bias and low completion rates that must be considered.
Audience response systems (ARS) permit students to answer electronically displayed multiple-choice questions using a remote control device. In higher education, more and more lecturers use ARS to engage their students more intensively, especially when it comes to mass lectures. This paper deals with the questions how ARS as an innovative technology can foster the feedback of students during ex-cathedra teaching and how this feedback can contribute to quality assurance in academic teaching. The examination of advantages and challenges of using ARS as well as of their didactical and technical potentials combines theoretical considerations with an online survey among the more than two hundred students enrolled in a mass lecture held in winter term 2015 at the University of Innsbruck. Additionally, the responsible lecturers were asked to share their experience using an ARS for the first time. In closing, the paper provides some answers if and how ARS are valuable instruments to enhance quality assurance in higher education.
iMooX is an Austrian MOOC platform that has offered 16 online courses since 2014 to over 6,700 registered users. On average, courses have 550 participants, most of whom are older than 35 and have a university entrance diploma or study graduation. 85% of participants reported satisfaction with the platform. While initial enrollment is high, completion rates are typically around 20%, challenging the myth that MOOCs have high dropout rates. iMooX aims to provide open educational resources and lifelong learning opportunities to all.
Massive Open Online Courses became a worldwide phenomenon. Especially in Central Europe it is a subject of debates whether universities should invest more money or not. This research study likes to give first answers about typical MOOC participants based on data from different field studies of the Austrian MOOC-platform iMooX.
It can be pointed out that the typical learner is a student or an adult learner, strongly interested in the course topic or just interested in learning with media and finally with self-contained learning competencies. The research work concludes that MOOCs broaden the educational field for universities and are a possibility to educate the public in a long run.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
