                     Deploying your resources

                     You should now consider the individual events in your festival programme in terms of
                     how the resources you have identified are deployed across the various events you are
                     running.

                      Draw up a festival timetable showing when and where each event will be staged.

                                                               C4 - Nail salon, face painting and balloon maker

                                                               C3 – Film room

                                                               Hall stage – Rock band

                                                               C2 – Art exhibition

                                                               Hall - Stalls

                                                               C5 –Bollywood dancing

                                                               C1 – Refreshments room

                                                               Playground – 2 Bouncy castles

                                                               C6 – Faith room

                                                               Gym – Jump!!! Photography

                      Make a list of resources needed for each event and crosscheck this list with your event
                       timetable to ensure all resources are available at the times they are needed.

                     -      C1 – Refreshments – Will be organised by the EastEnd Women’s Institution

                     -      C2 – Art room – Putting up art work and pots on the day and the day before the
                            festival.

                     -      C3 – Film room – Need to buy a pop corn machine.

                     -      C4 – Nail salon, balloon maker and face painter – Need to hire professionals

                     -      C5 – Bollywood dancing – Asking volunteers to teach the dancing

                     -      C6 – Faith talk - Volenteers

                     -      Gym – Jump!!! Photography – Setting up the camera on the day of the festival

                     -      Playground – Archery –Need to set up the equipment

                     -      Playground – 2 Bouncy castles – Need to blow up the bouncy castles on the day and
                            make sure all the wiring is at the back.

                     -      Hall – stalls – Need to hire professionals and teachers

                     -      Hall stage – Rock Band – Volunteers in the school

                     -      Leaflets need to be hanged around the venue and need to hand them out on the day to
                            remind people about the festival.

                      Divide into pairs or small groups and produce a detailed plan for the setting up and
                       running of a single event from your festival programme.
