The Sunday Bikedays program in Canada's capital region has been operating for 46 years, providing routes for cycling and other activities along parkways and in parks. It has grown from an initial 30km route to now include over 50km of routes. In recent years, the program has seen over 290,000 participants and 890,000 visits over a season. A 10-year strategic plan is being developed to expand the program further through new and themed routes, lively welcome areas, services, and collaboration with community partners.

Dynamic workshop
Context: The Capital Urbanism Lab workshop provided an
opportunity to help establish the SBD strategic plan
objectives
Objectives: Municipal, economic and community
stakeholders discussed three different themes
Process and tools: Participants were divided into groups,
each workshops lasted for 30 minutes. Paper, pencils and
maps. Plenary at the end.
