You are the chairman of the department of surgery at an urban community hospital and the head of a large general surgery practice. The oldest member of the group is about to retire, and you need to recruit a new partner. You are hoping to recruit a person relatively new out of training to provide succession planning for the group, because you know that in the next five to seven years you will be retiring.
You’re in your office when one of the junior surgeons, Dr. Simon, asks to speak to you. He presents you with several credentialing packets for out-of-state licensure. He is on the staff of your hospital; however, he primarily works at another hospital in the area. You ask Dr. Simon if he would be interested in staying and joining your practice. He states his family is in the area, but he’s not sure whether he wishes to be a junior associate in another practice or not. You spend time discussing how this particular practice runs and what his duties would be and inform him that in a very short time he could become a fully integrated member of the group with equal say in medical matters and compensation equal to the amount of work that he produces. He asks several unusual questions such as “How many times a day will you call me?” “Will you be checking up on me?” and “Will I be able to make my own clinical decisions?”
It becomes apparent from this discussion that Dr. Simon probably has been treated poorly in his existing practice. He has not been allowed to make his own schedule and his decision making was second-guessed. The senior member of the practice created extensive work for him, while Dr. Simon was compensated for a small percentage of the work that he actually performed and the senior partner was making a large profit.
At this point, you explain how this new opportunity would be different and that Dr. Simon would be a partner in two years, joining with the other three members of the group. The writer had work on the medical field for a couple years and even that is just a couple she/he already see the change. This conversation gives the writer and the mentor the idea of going around and asking nurses what was the most drastic change that they have seen in their carriers. Co-Occurring Disorder (COD) is actually the concern here with 3 areas operating related to alcohol, opioids, and depression. Benzodiazepenes could be added as a 4th, but can be determined after detox. Further investigation is needed after suicidality and overdosing more than once regarding self reported, but unconfirmed, BiPolar mental illness, as well. It would not be appropriate to ignore any one of the areas above especially in one with suicidal ideations and her past history of comas. Future opioids should come through her psychiatrist only unless communication is established between you, psychiatrist and pain doctor. New Practice Approaches
The writer and the mentor choose this topic on the first week since the writer was explaining to the mentor what the project was on, how the mentor can help and most important how the writer was planning to execute it. The health care system is changing every day for that reason all individuals that work on it need to keep their mind open for constant change. The writer had work on the medical field for a couple years and even that is just a couple she/he already see the change. This conversation gives the writer and the mentor the idea of going around and asking nurses what was the most drastic change that they have seen in their carriers. The writer notice that most nurses had said that doctors are starting to respect the work they do for the patients but unfortunately the patients and their family members had lost the respect for them. When the writer heard that she/he realized that the topic she chooses is perfect and they need to create a new approached for this problem.
Week Two
Interprofessional Collaboration
The writer had the opportunity to observe a code gray which is when a patient gets violent towards the staff members. The patient was an alcoholic and had stop drinking two days ago. He was confused and acting irrational, he was saying things like “you people have me here against my weal “” you guys want to kill me “etc. This patient tries to punch one of the nurses and she yelled for help and the code gray was call. All male nurses and security personnel attend to the code and try to calm the patient down. he was given some medication and was put on restrains. The hospital security guards stay with the nurse until the patient calm down. I was surprise on seen how they all collaborated with this horrible situation and got the patient to calm down and prevent for that nurse not to get hurt. In this topic Interprofessional collaboration is the mayor key, everyone must help and try to learn how to manage these situations. Also, we must work together so management see that there is a problem that needs to be fix. If that nurse would it have the proper training, she could it got hurt and force to go out of the job as.

Co-Occurring Disorder (COD) is actually the concern here with 3 areas operating related to alcohol, opioids, and depression. Benzodiazepenes could be added as a 4th, but can be determined after detox. Further investigation is needed after suicidality and overdosing more than once regarding self reported, but unconfirmed, BiPolar mental illness, as well. It would not be appropriate to ignore any one of the areas above especially in one with suicidal ideations and her past history of comas. Future opioids should come through her psychiatrist only unless communication is established between you, psychiatrist and pain doctor. You will need third party waivers signed by client from start of therapy to communicate with any previous psychiatrist and pain doctors, who can be determined. These plans always offer ongoing evaluation and continual review open to additions and changes as the case moves forward to prioritize necessities and meet previously undisclosed or unknown concerns. Alanna Falk is a Medical office manager for an endocrinologist.
She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is a trained medical assistant for over twenty years.
She has direct contact with the three providers in her office as well as the patients on a daily basis.
She performs the administrative aspect of the office and fills in where needed.
Overall she enjoys her office but at times feel that it is overwhelming with the amount of patients and being her doctor is one of two in the area for this specialty.
One problem that she is having is getting the patients to get onboard with the use of technology to simplify and reduce the amount of time spent filling paperwork out to include the cost in staff printing, ink and filing space. This often delays the patients getting in the back office to see the physicians on time even after they are checked in on time and it throws the whole schedule off for the day.
She would like to go paperless as possible and being that their scheduling team gets their information for the most part over the phone she would like to utilize tablets or a computer program that will help them become more efficient in the practice and maintain patient privacy.

How are different social groups portrayed in the mass media in contemporary society? How far have we come in terms of reducing or eliminating stereotypical images and portrayals of minority groups? To answer these questions, we need to place them in the context of the economic, technological, and social changes that have shaped postindustrial U.S. society and affected relationships between diverse groups in our society. For example, watching TV sitcoms and dramas today we see not only much greater diversity in cast members but also minority group members playing leading roles, something that was much less common just a few decades ago.
As you analyze how the various media forms portray cultural diversity, another thing to consider is the role of people with power in the media industry—those who make the decisions about what stories and images appear on a TV news program or magazine or newspaper article and how those programs or stories will be framed.

Health care financing has become quite complex. This concept is known as cost sharing (Niles, 2021). It is very important to understand the payer mix of your organization, so you understand where and how revenue is coming in.
Information technology is another huge area of focus right now for health care administrators. The health care industry has lagged behind other industries in the area of information technology. The U.S. health care system has seen a large increase in the number of electronic medical records implemented across health care organizations (Niles, 2021). In addition, other technologies such as telehealth, electronic data warehouses (EDWs), and computerized physician order entry (CPOE) are quickly expanding and improving the delivery of health care.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Sara had been coughing for approximately six weeks, lost weight without trying, had no appetite, was having difficulty sleeping, and had an intermittent fever. She became concerned and went to see a healthcare professional who diagnosed her with active tuberculosis (TB). Sara missed a lot of time from work while completing treatment for TB.
