This session 5 was the talk about how to work in the field of Mental Health (at the TAFE Mental Health Symposium - General Attendance Day, May 30 and June 6). We impressed upon the listeners the importance of self-regulation, self-mastery and self-care. Increasing our own emotional mastery is key so that we can deal with the day to day tasks of vulnerable people going through mental health issues. Maria Pau facilitated the day's session. She is the founder of multiple award winning charity, Coaching with Substance. She is also an multiple international best selling author and currently in the last semester of her doctoral (PhD level) studies at USQ studying the impact of collaborative peer recovery coaching in people with severe and complex co-morbid multiple addiction issues. Speakers that shared their experience for the day's events were Ms. Leandi Booysen, Dr Gideon Diamond and Ms. Nicole Gibson.
