- Improve movement skills
- Encourage interpersonal relationships through group
sports
- Reduces the risk of obesity

3. Healthy Eating
- Identifies healthy food groups
- Promotes 2 fruit/5 vegetables everyday
- Why healthy eating habits are necessary for
growth & development & why unhealthy foods are
bad for you
- Children learn to make healthy, informed lifestyle
decisions

4. Safety
Teachers children;
- How to be safe on the road, in the park and at
school.
- To recognise dangerous situations and people
- Strategies to protect themselves.

5. Interpersonal Relationships
- Create long lasting relationships based on trust
- Become comfortable with new social experiences
- Develop interpersonal skills such as
communication and teamwork
- Identify who they can reply on and trust
