Ameet Ubhi gained work experience at Newsquest writing for local newspapers, using press releases and original stories. He also worked with PR and press at The Jazz Café in Camden, distributing press tickets and updating social media. For a court case at the Old Bailey, Ameet covered the trial without a press pass or shorthand skills, improvising from the public gallery. He wrote his first original story for the newspaper about Richmond Park, conducting phone interviews and research. When distributing press passes for an event, Ameet chose which journalists to invite based on their music expertise. In reflection, Ameet notes he sometimes acted independently without direction and could have better prepared for the experiences.
