• Document Information
• Display

Document Information
• Document title, author,
subject, and keywords are
provided in the
“Document Properties.”
Display
• 12 point font
• Sans Serif font
• High Contrast
• Avoid underlining, italicized text,
and watermarks.
• Use lists with bullet points or
numbers.
Headings
• Less than 6 levels of headings are used.
• Headings match the reading order of the
document
Tables
• Tables read from left to right
• All cells have text (no blank spaces)
• Columns and rows are marked.
Alternative Text
• Alternative text is equivalent to the picture,
chart, graph, etc…
• Only numbers and letters are used in the
table-not symbols. Symbols are described
with alternative text.
Links
• Avoid “Click here.”
Instead add the phrase
“Web Link” to all
clickable links.
