2. Taking a look back at the posts that have been posted in
this blog, we couldn’t find any reference to women leaders
in the world and the influence they have had on their peers,
their community and on the entire world.
Today we give them the space they deserve by talking
about these very influential women around the world that
have changed lives or have made businesses grow in
amazing ways. From a journalist to a business woman,
these four women have changed the game with their
actions, job and their influence over women.

3. Indra Nooyi
If all the listings as the “World’s Most Powerful Woman” within the
PepsiCo company don’t impress you, maybe the fact that she
was the most important person when Yum! Brands company
was established a will. This brand now operates restaurants such
as Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver’s, KFC and A&W
Restaurants. Yum! Brands Company is now part of the selected
club of the Fortune 500 companies.
Indra Nooyi started as an employee at PepsiCo in the year 1994
and after 7 years she became the president and CFO in 2001.
Then in the year 2006, she became the company’s CEO and she
has been responsible for revitalizing the company and making it
big again. The numbers speak for themselves with an increase in
revenues of 70% when she was in charge of the company and it
was the first time that PepsiCo actually had more market value
than Coca-Cola.

4. Furthermore, Indra Nooyi is now leading the company towards a
more eco-friendly production of goods. She has also invested
time and money in creating new jobs around the PepsiCo market
in foreign countries.
Christiane Amanpour
Right now she works for CNN and is the Chief International
Consultant for this TV station. She has always covered the
situation in the Middle East and is recognized for reporting from
war zones that are said to be impossible to go to. She started
reporting from Germany at the end of the cold war for CNN and
then got her 15 minutes of fame in the Gulf War where she was
the top journalist for CNN in this war zone. Then she went to
cover the conflict in Bosnia and since then she has been going to
war zones to deliver the news first hand.

5. Amanpour has been so committed to her job that she
interviewed Yasser Arafat and the former Iran President
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who had very violent views towards the
United States. Amanpour herself had fled Iran with her family
which made the interviews even more spectacular.
With all this, she has given women in the journalism profession a
voice and has shown the world how tough women can be when it
comes to tackling world issues.

6. Meg Whitman
This is the live example of women being successful in the
business field. Under her sleeve, she has companies such
as Hasbro, Playskool, Mr. Potato Head, Disney, Procter &
Gamble, and eBay. She is directly responsible for taking
eBay from 30 employees to 15.500 and for increasing
revenue by $4 million. Her expertise and business approach
earned her such respect that she was included in the list for
Treasury Secretary in John McCain’s team.
Whitman has had many fingers in many pies influencing
industries and even politics and the internet. She is an
example to every woman that wants to become a
successful business leader.

7. Suze Orman
Suze is a role model to many Americans that wish to get their
finances together. She has had 6 New York Time’s Bestsellers
and has her own talk show where she helps people with their
finances. With her knowledge and network she has been a very
good fundraiser for television and has been the top seller on
QVC.
Her story is inspiring and of many contradictions. She studied to
be a social worker and left university with high hopes of helping
out in the world. But instead, she ended up working at a
restaurant as a waitress in California, a job that she didn't like
and made her feel stuck in life and as a total failure. One day she
was lucky and one customer lent her $50,000 so she could go on
with her idea of having a restaurant and being an independent
entrepreneur.

8. She decided to invest the money but got robbed and was
left alone and with a big debt. She didn’t quit there and
enrolled in Merrill Lynch’s training program.
After she finished the course she was hired by the firm and
then was offered the job of VP of investments at Prudential.
After her experience in Prudential, she started her own firm
and then went to write books. Ever since she has found her
top success with her books and as a saleswoman in
television and it has been downhill from there.
