Women are underrepresented in Pennsylvania politics, making up only 15% of the state legislature despite comprising 51.7% of the population. As a result, policies are decided by 212 men and only 38 women, meaning women's interests are not adequately represented. Supporting more women candidates through training, fundraising, and volunteer efforts can help create a more balanced and diverse government that better serves all constituents. The Pennsylvania Women's Campaign Fund works to develop and support female candidates in order to give women an equal voice in shaping the state's future.
