The Woman in Black is a 2012 British supernatural horror film based on the novel of the same name by Susan Hill. It follows Arthur Kipps, a lawyer who visits the isolated Eel Marsh House and encounters a mysterious spectral woman. During his visit, Arthur hears strange noises and sees the apparition of a woman dressed in black. When he tries to warn the local constable, two children arrive with their dying sister Victoria, who had ingested lye. Despite Arthur's attempts to help, Victoria dies in his arms, and the townspeople blame Arthur for her death since he saw the Woman in Black. The film uses music and low-key lighting to create tension and set a dark, mysterious atmosphere.
