Temperature Monitoring System with 4 Sensorsvackerdxb
The TV2 stores over 80,000 temperatures for each sensors, which means that it will store over 1.5 year of temperature history if you are sampling temperature once every 10 minutes. If you are logging temperature and humidity it will store nine months of history for each of the four sensors. Although the TV2 can store and display temperature from absolute zero to thousands of degrees, the actual temperatures collected depends on the type of sensors being used.

A novel Ethernet based processing system for remote source harmonic detectionTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
This work is carried out to objectively establish a new method to detect harmonics and measure the total harmonic distortion (THD) in a remote source, such as a high voltage transformer. The proposed approach utilized embedded design techniques to construct an embedded processor system with Ethernet intellectual property core to acquire data from a remote harmonics source. The designed system has several notable merits, namely, it is portable that can be applied in the work field, and it avoids workers from being subject to a hazard high voltage shock as well as its simplicity and high accuracy. The harmonics detection and analysis are achieved by inserting a microcontroller system near the high voltage transformer to acquire the necessary data and transmit it to a remote embedded processor system that is used to detect and analyze the harmonics. The microcontroller and the processor systems are connected by a wide-area network (WAN) through Ethernet and transmission control protocol/internet protocol (TCP/IP) protocols. The processor system is accommodated to perform 128 points fast Fourier transform for harmonics detection. Matlab simulations are used to validate the results. It is found that the results match very accurately the simulation results with an error of less than 0.02%.
Wireless energy meter monitoring with automated tariff calculationUdayalakshmi JK
Electricity billing has become a difficult task. The board has to make regular visit to the consumers house to make the reading. Also it can cause manual error. Now here we are monitoring the energy meter with modern techniques. The total energy consumed by the consumer and the consumption cost is known to the consumer and to the board by means of a hand held device.

Embedded processor system for controllable period-width multichannel pulse wi...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
This paper proposes a sophisticated embedded processor system configured on zynq-xc7z020 field programmable gate array (FPGA) device for generating four channels pulse width modulation signals with variable duty cycles and periods using embedded design techniques. The main advantages of the technique are the high ability to perform a simultaneous control on period and pulse width of the generated signals and a high system design adaptation to choose the number of input/output channels. Controlling the the period and the pulse width is achieved by injecting a digital signal to the designed system to manipulate embedded timers’ operation. Vivado design suite is used to develop the system hard ware in the integrated development environment where the processing unit and peripherals are instantiated and interconnected. A practical aplication program in C language is prepared to make the system act according to the target. The designed system can be used to drive multi-phase D.C to D.C convertors. The system performance is verified by using vivado logic analyzer and chipscope windows. The superiority of the proposed approach over other approaches is that it resulted in a multi-inputs/multi-outputs pulse width modulation system with high controllability on the pulse width and the period that ranges from 15 nsec to 60 sec.

Portable Wireless Temperature Data Logger Dimitrios Tsiolchas
1. "AN AUTONOMOUS LOW POWER TELEMETRY SYSTEM FOR TEMPERATURE MONITORING AND DATA LOGGING" The objective of this final year project is the study and application of short range telemetry in the design and hardware implementation of an autonomous digital system for temperature sensing and data logging. The system features wireless interconnectivity between the portable sensing – data logging and monitoring components. The autonomous temperature data acquisition module, a fundamental component of the overall monitoring system, incorporates mixed-signal and ultra-low power microcontroller technology. Moreover, the overall system features integrated wireless telecommunications for logged data transmission and remote system configuration, using a programmable, low power, short range RF transceiver. The work for this project included the design and manufacture of the autonomous data logger printed circuit board using the EAGLE Layout Editor tool as well as the development and implementation of all necessary microcontroller algorithms using the Assembly programming language and the IAR Embedded Workbench V4.11B integrated development environment. In order to demonstrate system functionality, a simple supervisory and data acquisition software for the Microsoft Windows operating system platform was implemented, using the Visual C ++ 2008 programming language and the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 integrated development environment. Individual fundamental objectives for this project were: 1) The design and implementation of electronic temperature measurement circuits applying mainstream methodologies while maximizing measurement accuracy. 2) The development of accompanying software algorithms, aiming to strike a balance between low power consumption and peak performance signal-data processing. 3) The study and application of appropriate wireless communication management methodologies, in order to develop and implement a data communication and transmission protocol tailored to the needs of the aforementioned prototype system. In the final stage of the project the autonomous temperature data logger prototype system was manufactured and tested. Its performance entirely satisfied all initial design and functional specifications, while some straightforward experimentation indicated that the desired accuracy to power consumption balance had been achieved. The implemented short range wireless communication channel, in particular more than satisfied the requirements of the targeted temperature data acquisition requirements.
